Leon swung his sword and crushed the large root lunging toward him.

Without wasting a second, he rushed over to Zelda.

"Zelda, wake up!" He called out, pulling her into his arms and bringing her down with him, sending them rolling across the wooden floor.

Zelda struggled to break free, but Leon quickly pinned both her arms, locking her wrists with just his left hand.

Now he was on top of her, his eyes locked on her pale, unmoving face below.

To an outsider, their position would have looked strange—like sothing too inappropriate for children to see.

But Leon paid no attention to that. His mind was focused on only one thing—saving Zelda.

"Zelda! Wake up!" he called again, gently tapping her cheek.

Still, Zelda remained completely unresponsive.

Her green eyes flickered with a cold, indifferent light, and her expression was blank.

She kept resisting weakly, though her efforts were futile.

Just as she was about to unleash her magic in a stronger attack, Leon pressed his middle and index fingers against several pressure points—her shoulder, chest, stomach, neck, and more.

The magic circle forming above their heads instantly shattered into fragnts.

Her eyes widened for a brief mont before slowly closing, and she slipped into a deep stupor.

Seeing this, Leon let out a sigh of relief—but he didn't dare release his grip on Zelda.

Who knew if she might suddenly regain consciousness and lash out at him?

So, he stayed where he was, waiting silently.

His eyes fell on Zelda's flawless, beautiful face, and his expression grew more complicated.

"What was really happening? Why had this woman changed so suddenly?" He wondered quietly.

Until now, he hadn't been able to figure out the cause.

Zelda had seed healthy and fine before going to bed, but now she had beco sothing fierce.

He suspected she was being controlled by soone. But honestly, even he wasn't certain if that was true.

And if it was, who would dare to manipulate the Elf Queen like this?

What was their motive?

Countless questions swirled through his mind, but none offered answers or clues.

In the end, Leon pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the task before him.

He gently wiped the dirt and dust off Zelda's pale face, then smoothed her tangled hair.

Then he closed his eyes and called out, "Miranda, can you hear ?"

A soft, gentle voice echoed in his mind a few seconds later.

"I'm here, Master. Do you need my help?"

Leon felt relief wash over him. After a mont, he took a steadying breath and said, "Miranda, co here. I need your help."

Miranda sensed the confusion and fatigue in her master's voice, stirring her curiosity.

Even so, she didn't ask any questions and simply replied, "Alright, I'll co."

*Buzz!*

A streak of purple light suddenly appeared beside Leon. Monts later, Miranda's elegant figure erged, dressed in a flowing deep purple gown. She stepped onto the floor with her right foot.

As she was about to greet Leon, her eyes widened in shock.

"What happened here? Why does your room look like this?"

Chaos and destruction filled the space. The bed in the center had been reduced to broken wooden pieces, the wardrobe on the right was shattered, and the clothes inside were torn and scattered.

The desk, chair, walls—almost everything in the room—had been left in ruins.

If she hadn't known how powerful her master was, Miranda might have thought Leon had just been attacked and overpowered by a formidable enemy.

Leon gave a wry smile and said softly, "Just now…"

He then began explaining everything that had happened.

After listening for a few minutes, Miranda gave a slow nod, although a slight frown tugged at her brow.

"So, you're saying the Elf Queen Zelda was being controlled by the enemy and tried to attack you?" she asked, clearly skeptical.

Even Miranda herself seed to find it hard to believe—but Leon wasn't angry at all.

Co to think of it, it was unreasonable for Zelda to attack him without cause.

After all, Miranda had said the Elven Race was the least likely to turn against him.

And even if Zelda did harbor ill intentions, it was unlikely she would launch such a direct attack.

Clearly, soone was pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Their goal was still unclear, but Leon had one bold theory: soone wanted to pit him against Zelda.

If successful, it would create enmity between him and the Elves—sothing that would obviously benefit the hidden mastermind.

Miranda crouched beside Zelda and carefully examined her condition.

Monts later, her expression darkened.

"Master, she's definitely been controlled. I can sense faint traces of the Evil God's dark power within her."

"The Evil God's dark power!?" Leon was stunned. "How is that possible? I didn't sense anything earlier."

Normally, even the faintest trace of dark power would never escape his notice.

The best examples were what happened with the Dragon Ancestor and the Fairy Queen, Aurora.

And now, Miranda claid there was dark power inside Zelda's body—yet Leon hadn't sensed anything, making it difficult for him to believe her.

"The dark power is deeply hidden. Even I barely detected it," Miranda explained gently. "So it's only natural you didn't sense it."

Leon fell silent for a mont before finally asking, "Can you remove it?"

"Of course," Miranda replied with a confident smile. "It's easy for —but I'll need your help. You understand what I an, right?"

Leon gave a small nod. "I do."

Without another word, the two of them began the process of healing Zelda.

It was the sa technique Leon had used before to cleanse the Dragon Ancestor and Aurora.

Since Leon didn't know the exact location of the dark power, Miranda helped him locate it and channel both chaos and holy power toward it.

The process went quickly and smoothly. In just five minutes, the dark power lodged in Zelda's body was completely eliminated.

"Phew." Leon let out a breath of relief and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "How long until she wakes up?"

Miranda pulled a handkerchief from her pocket and gently dabbed the sweat from his forehead and temples.

"Don't worry. She'll be awake in a few minutes."

But before that ti even passed, Zelda suddenly let out a soft groan.

Her eyelids fluttered open, and the mont her eyes landed on Leon—who was still on top of her—they widened in shock.

"Leon!? What are you doing on top of !?"

Leon: "..."
