"Do you want to know or not?" Claire laid out her ultimatum, making Aaron shut up in an instant.
His grumblings died in the back of his throat as he nodded mutely.
"Good, so. Where was I? Right. The marriage.
So Selyne Cross married Luke, after which your sister was copulated on a honeymoon to so aweso place you told about. I even rember you telling that it was pretty as fuck, and we should go there soday.
Though it’s an expensive place so maybe so other ti? Also, I would rather be it and you, I don’t want other bitches sullening my vacatio–"
"Oh?" Eva interrupted coldly, "That doesn’t sound like a story about his family at all. And what bullshit was it about the vacation?"
"Eva, silent." Claire raised a finger and commanded, acting like she was giving instruction to a dog and not her best friend.
"Hey, babes, no fighting." Aaron intervened before their argunt could get bigger, "And can we get back to the topic, love?" he turned to Claire, giving her the best puppy eyes he could muster.
"Ah right, so we’re going on a vacation to the place where your parents went for their honeymoon." She nodded.
"No, I ant to continue about my family..."
"So we’re not going?" Claire asked with a saddened blink, lowering her head pitifully, "And am I not your family? I was talking about us..."
’Seriously...?’ Aaron resisted the urge to facepalm, where the hell was she learning these tactics from?!
Wasn’t she supposed to be macho and straightforward or sothing?
But now wasn’t the ti to argue about her changing behaviours as Aaron’s eyes fell over the buzzing mobile phone.
It was once again ringing by the na of Sis Ariana. Her 18th call already.
And that could only an two things.
Either she loved him dearly, or he was fucked.
He dearly hoped that it was the forr.
"We will go on the vacation, all of us though. Non negotiable. Now continue." He said, raising her chin up to make her look him in the eyes.
She fluttered her long eyelashes, her oceanic pearls glittering with both amusent and interest as she pretended to be in a thought, "I guess good enough for now. But you didn’t admit if I am family or no–"
"Y’all are my family too. Please now?"
His eyes flicked towards the ringing phone as he asked with a deep sigh.
Having decided that she teased him enough, Claire giggled softly and continued.
"So yeah, your sister was born after their honeymoon I think, and then a year or two later you were born. Then they learned about protection, I think, so it was calm for like 3 or so years until Adrian was born.
So that’s the lore, now for personalities, I suggested Ariana because well, she is the one that I know about the best.
I have t her before when she ca to Snombi on a vacation... I think? We even had to get your ass in university dorms and pretend like you didn’t live with .
It was hard pretending that you weren’t my boyfriend but just a friend, but oh well, it was an experience in itself." Claire rambled on.
Aaron could only sigh and listen to her ramblings, knowing that she would be telling so important details alongside it...
***
10 Arduous Minutes Later.
It was both surprising and impressive how Claire managed to ramble on the lore for 10 whole minutes.
And even more impressive was that both Eva and Aaron listened to it whole.
But it was well worth it, and he won’t admit it, but he found it both cute and interesting.
Though such things remain cute only if done occasionally, otherwise it becos an annoying quirk rather than a cute habit.
So not willing to praise it, Aaron smiled and pulled her on his lap gratefully as she blushed before settling on his thighs.
She was still not used to being treated like a... ’man’, but she was coping with it. And just like him, she would never admit that she liked it a little.
Aaron sighed seeing the amount of missed calls.
It wasn’t buzzing nonstop anymore, but every couple minutes they would call once.
As per plan, his choice of calling was obvious as he clicked on the caller ID saved by the na // Sis Ariana
