Amon looked at Alicia, hoping that she’d atleast guess who he was.
’I need a hidden ally within the academy and she’s probably one of the few who I can trust to keep a secret.’ he thought as he waited for so sort of reaction but she rely frowned.
"A married professor..." she said as she looked at him, "Are you talking about Jessica? She had the most amount of followers."
"She wasn’t married back then." Amon said and shook his head, "You’ve changed, professor. It’s like you’re unrecognisable compared to the Alicia I’ve known in the past."
Alicia clenched her fist. She could tell that one he had asked out was her.
"A lot of things happened."
"I know." Amon said as he looked at her, "That woman lived in my street so I saw it. Anyways, you don’t have to worry. I’m not here to ask you out again. I already have three girls I love, waiting for at ho."
Alicia’s mind went blank for a mont.
’So he saw it himself... and the only person who knew what was going on back then, was Amon. It really is him... he’s changed... quite a lot.’ she thought as she felt a sudden sense of loss.
’He already has three girls, huh? Looks like he’s beco much more reliable than I expected. But why is he wearing a mask? Unless.... he’s wanted by certain people... I see.’
She nodded slowly, more to herself than anyone.
’You want to figure out it’s you... which ans you trust or you’re crazy enough to gamble with your safety.’
’And knowing you... I’ll go with the first option.’
"Let’s continue." she said and the team focused on the dungeon once again.
Amon turned around and looked at the Red Baron gang mber, "Are you from the Red Baron? Tell the truth if you wish to live."
The guy stiffened up for a mont before stamring, "I... I’m a part of the gang! If you dare to touch , the gang won’t let you off alone!"
"I told you to say the truth." Amon sighed and shook his head, "Those donkeys usually go in groups of three. Unless you’re so high ranking mber, you won’t moving alone. Listen to and move around like a regular awakened. The red baron gang is gonna fall soon."
At this statent, everyone turned to look at Amon and even Alicia looked pretty surprised.
"The Red baron gang has stayed here for decades. It’s not going to fall so easily." Patricia said as she hugged her oversized staff.
"A man who treats his wife and kids like tools, does not deserve such a lavish life. I’ll take everything from him. Every single thing until he has nothing but a pair of boxers. Maybe I’ll destroy that too. Anyways, I’m getting a little bored so can I just... take care of the rest of the dungeon?"
Alicia walked forward and placed a hand on Patricia’s head like it was ant to be an arm rest, "You can, only if you’re willing to show us how you usually fight. I want my students to learn a thing or two."
Amon shook his head, "Well... my usual way of killing monsters is a bit boring and I don’t think you guys can learn anything from it. I’m not a great fighter."
"You beat ." Jordan said from the back.
"Thanks to my stats. I’m just like you, if not worse. I do not have any good fighting techniques and nor am I good with any weapon. The only reason i’m so strong, is because of my skills and stats."
He paused for a bit and looked at the others before thinking, "Well... I guess I can show you sothing. It won’t work as teaching material but it’ll probably be entertaining."
"What are you going to show?" Kenji asked, looking pretty curious while the others nodded in response.
"All of you, co at . If you manage to reduce my health to a point where I give in, I’ll give you hundred vitality pills for free."
Patrick imdiately did the calculations in his head and muttered, "Five thousand coins..."
"Yup. Alicia can join in so... catch if you can!!" he yelled and ran like a rat on steroids before any of them could grasp the situation.
"Fuck!" Patrick cursed before running behind Amon, "Patricia!!"
"Yes!" she squealed and raised her staff.
Amon suddenly turned around and raised his hand.
Mana Weaver.
Patricia expected a thick blizzard to hit the area where Amon stood, slowing him down but nothing happened.
"Huh?"
"Patricia!! Stop ssing around and slow him!" her brother yelled, clearly annoyed but it was it late.
Amon had already turned around and was jogging at a pace faster than what they could run at.
"I’ll go." Jordan said and dashed forward while Alicia rushed behind him, "I’ll join you."
She looked much more motivated compared to just overlooking them. Whether it was due to the vitality pills or sothing else, no one knew.
She ran past Jordan pretty quickly and closed in on Amon.
Feeeewwwwwwww
An arrow flew past her, going straight for Amon.
’Nice aim!’ she praised the marksman but her joy was short lived.
Amon suddenly stopped and tilted his head to the side, letting the arrow fly forward before he turned around and dashed towards Alicia.
The sudden change of events was sothing she was not used to even after all her experience in battlefield.
"Hik!"
She dug her heels into the ground, skidding to a halt, only for Amon to run past her instead of fighting.
For a mont, she was utterly confused but that was just for a mont.
’No! He’s going for the others.’
She imdiately ran behind him but she couldn’t catch up. He wasn’t jogging anymore.
She watched as Amon skidded to a halt right in front of Patrick, took a fake left step only to dash to the right.
Patrick fell to the ground while Amon moved forward.
’Patricia? Kenji?’ Alicia thought, but Amon just ran past them and tapped the marksman’s head.
"You’re out. Don’t shoot at anymore."
