A small heap of cores lay in front of Amon. They belonged to the roaches inside the hole and it had taken them a couple of hours to find all the bodies and extract all the cores.
He slowly brought his palm towards the pile of cores and saw a familiar ssage.
[Would you like to dissolve the cores into Stream points?]
[Ding! Detected 87 monster cores!]
’How much will I get for them?’ Amon asked inwardly and didn’t get a response.
With a sigh, he dissolved all the cores into stream points and saw the numbers go up.
A total of 8700 stream points.
With his shop now at E rank, they could be put to good use.
Amon let the corpses be split between Nyx and Mike equally before heading back ho. There was still a lot of ti left for the night to co to an end but Amon didn’t wish to work too hard.
The hunt went great and it was ti to rest.
Once inside, Nyx and Mike went for a nap while Amon sat cross legged on the floor. The last ti he awakened, it was due to a system reward and he wasn’t sure how he’d be able to undergo another mutation by relying on the system again.
That was where the black book ca in. It had information on undergoing mutations by using monster cores and the body.
"Nyx, take out the E rank roach’s body for please." he said and the girl readily did as she was asked. The body was huge and it filled up most of the bedroom so they had no choice but to take it back into the spacial ring and bring it out in the storage room.
Amon climbed on top of it’s body and sat cross legged with his palms facing upwards. One hand was placed on the other right with the E rank core on top.
He took a deep breath and circulated his mana. There was no core in his body but he could sense mana inside. It was everywhere.
He slowly moved it in a predetermined pathway that was ntioned in the book, making most of the mana concentrate at the top of his head, at the center of his forehead, his throat, his heart, his solar plexus, near his sexual organs and lastly, under his ass.
A small concentrated ball of mana ford at these locations and each of them signified a ’chakra’ based on Amon’s previous life’s knowledge.
They were the Crown chakra, Ajna chakra, throat chakra, heart chakra, solar plexus chakra, the sex chakra and lastly, the base chakra.
It took him so ti to keep the mana flow stable but once that was done, he extended so of his mana outwards through his palms.
As his pure mana passed through the monster core, it was tainted with it’s corrupted mana before going back inside his body. Starting with just a little bit of corrupted mana, he quickly absorbed every last bit of mana from the core.
There wasn’t any drastic changes other than the difficulty of controlling the mana. It went from light blue to having a lot of black areas that slowly seed to be converting the blue mana into black.
Amon didn’t panic as he already had a solution right in front. The system screen had long been in his mind, showing him various classes that he could switch to. As he had absorbed more and more mana, the number of classes had also increased.
With everything absorbed, he didn’t hesitate to read through the classes.

Armored roach, black back and Chitin back all provided different armors. Black Back leaned more towards stealth while having no damage boosts. A failure of a class.
Winged bug and glider were similar. Glider seed more like a worse version as it didn’t enable proper flight.
Waste eater and Fu breather were similar with both of them being able to eat anything they wished to. Waste eater could recover health this way while the fu breather could turn the eaten matter into toxic fus for offence.
Diggeroach gave him the ability to dig into the ground. Unfortunately it wasn’t fast enough to be of much use so Amon tossed it out of his mind.
The last three were Cockroach, roach and roach king.
Cockroach ca from the E ranked monster he had killed. In a way it was the one that most resembled a cockroach that Amon rembered.
It gave him 20% vitality effectiveness, and a skill to digest most organic matter without an issue. As long as it wasn’t poisoned.
Roach and Roach King were straightforward, offering only stat effectiveness and skills.

As for Iron skin roach, it would turn him into a monster so he didn’t even consider taking a look at it.
’What does U stand for? Ultra?’ he mused as he checked both the skills out of re curiosity. He had already made up his mind.
Survivor (FFF): Upon taking a fatal hit, the user will not die and will be left with 1 HP. Cooldown: 24 hours
The Last Survivor (Unique): Upon taking a fatal hit, the user will not die and will recover all HP. You will not take any damage for 1 second. Cooldown: 6 Hours.

Amon didn’t mind as long as his skills didn’t disappear. Humanoid skeleton gave him 10% for strength and agility, both of which he didn’t really use much at the mont.
