The first official battle between the fell race and the humans in the southeast of Maegrath Continent had already been ongoing for a day and a half.

While the situation had more or less stabilized due to the unexpected, occasional retreat of the fell horde, the creations were still in formation a distance away, threatening to attack from ti to ti.

The Imperial Army couldn’t afford the luxury of relaxation and was constantly kept on edge by its sudden attacks.

Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for so soldiers, not everyone was allowed to join.

There were a few left to guard the Parralen Valley Outpost.

The young man atop the wooden watchtower, however, didn’t seem happy to be left out.

"Aihh...damn it...I could be out there making a na for myself, but I’m stuck here instead!" cursed the red-haired man, slamming his fists to one of the watchtower’s pillars.

"Hahaha, Aizen, you brat. So are glad to be left out, while you’re cursing? Be careful of what you wish for, young man," laughed a middle-aged man stationed at the watchtower a distance away from Aizen’s.

’Shut it...old man...I don’t have a family like you, and my joy rests on being able to find a hot wife for myself...’ sighed the red-haired youngster.

If he could make a na for himself in battle, then maybe Aki would look his way.

Just imagining the hottie all over him ignited Aizen’s fighting spirit.

Of course, his little brother down there was also ablaze with passion.

’Why am I assigned to sentry duty, damn it?!’ the young man cursed, this ti inwardly.

It was then that he spotted sothing in the distance.

Unlike Brad, the old man assigned to another tower adjacent to his, Aizen was in his pri, and his eyes were sharp.

He quickly used the telescope in his hands to check the woods a distance away from the Parralen Valley Outpost.

The mont the eyepiece was in place, Aizen’s eyes widened, and his body trembled.

"F-F-FELL BEASTS!!" he roared at the top of his lungs, capturing Brad and the other sentries’ attention.

Those with telescopes imdiately checked the direction he was looking at...and paled.

There were, at the very least, five thousand Fell Beasts about to erge from the covers of the nearby woods, though strangely, they weren’t headed for the outpost but in another direction: the Parralen Valley Battle Camp.

The bastards were trying to flank and cut off the retreat path of the main army stationed in the valley!

"I’ll inform Lord Zephyron!!" exclaid the highest-ranking officer, swiftly pulling out his army communicator.

He then attempted to contact the Wind Magna.

But to his horror, he couldn’t...

The signals were jamd!

Curses!

The officer tried other ways, writing down three copies of the sa ssage and attempting to send them using the trained pigeons of the army.

But before the tiny avians even made it out of the outpost, they were rcilessly shot down by Thunder Spears.

In the next mont, Four Fellkin Warriors erged in various ways—so through Spatial Cracks, others through Void Pockets, and one who ran as fast as lightning from the shadows of the woods to close off the eastern gate of the outpost.

There were fifteen Imperial Army Wizards and only four Fellkin Warriors.

Yet, Aizen felt as though they were the ones being hunted.

His heart began racing at the sight of the fell bastards.

This was his first ti encountering them in the flesh, and he couldn’t deny that the Fellkin looked far more horrifying and dangerous in person.

Brad’s words echoed in his mind.

Now, Aizen got what he wanted: a chance to make a na for himself. If he lived, that is...

"The beasts are attacking again! Back to formation!" roared multiple Imperial Army officers, jolting their exhausted squadrons awake in the middle of the night.

Today, the Fell Beasts attacked two tis, and half the uplands of the valley have been taken over by them with the assistance of a few Fellkin Warriors.

There were simply too many enemies, and the mana pool of the Imperial Army Wizards was failing to keep up.

If there was one thing that was going the Imperium’s way, it was that the fell race and their creations, who outnumbered them, had far more casualties than they did, though everything could change with one wrong decision from Zephyron.

anwhile, Hal and Ennya had dark circles under their eyes, their hearts and breathing heavy as their platoons scrambled.

The Fire and Chaos Platoons then hurried to their posts imdiately after getting into formation.

Yesterday, Hal learned that the veteran wizard squadron that saved his platoon was wiped out, though the Fellkin Warriors who attacked them didn’t escape unscathed, either.

This was why his heart and mind weren’t in the best of conditions.

Nonetheless, he had to fire away, drown himself in the pleasure of the notifications.

The points-per-kill mysteriously dropped on the night of the first day of battle, but he was still able to amass a total of thirty-eight thousand Chaos Points in rely two days of combat.

Hal desperately wanted to use them.

Unfortunately, there was no chance to.

The battlefield was just too dangerous, and two cohorts of Fellkin Warriors had already attempted to take his life, though obviously, both cohorts failed, and one of them was even wiped out by Zephyron’s n.

Mysteriously, the Wind Magna had never participated in the battle.

Hal didn’t know what the stiff-faced man was up to. However, in his mind, he couldn’t help but question the Magna’s decisions.

Would it kill him to throw a few wind cutters in the valley and help them?

Hal could only continue firing away, with Ennya doing the sa on the other side of the valley.

The battle in the southeast raged once more.

...anwhile, in the fell camp, Khatu was gearing up, and his trusted subordinate, Yisu, was already wearing her combat armor.

"Yisu, call Topturo and the others. It’s ti to move out," he ordered, gazing in the shadows of the redwoods.

’Zephyron, your head is mine!’
