Suspended in the outer space, where nothing was under his feet, but, it still felt like he was standing on so hard floor, Christian quietly looked at Anastasia who had at so point, started inscribing Runes upon Iris's body.
He stared intently at the Runes, that ca in all kind of shapes and colors, that glowed intensely as Anastasia wrote them in the air with her glowing finger, and moved on to Iris's body, and seed to vanish there.
He gave his full concentration to comprehend and understand whatever she was doing, as he could instinctively feel, the way Anastasia handled the Runes, was not sothing he was going to be able to imitate anyti soon.
To him, it was clear more than ever that, observing her at this mont was a very precious opportunity.
This experience in itself, would be sothing that could help imnsely later, when he try to learn about the Runes more seriously, and so, he tried not to waste it.
But, Runes advanced this much still remained elusive to him.
They felt in another dinsion entirely than the basic Runes, he got to know from the crystal that Anastasia gave him before.
No, in the first place, according to the knowledge he currently hold, one needed so kind of dium to inscribe Runes.
He needs so kind of special pen, or a kind of brush.
Where the ingredients of the ink that he was going to use, could also influence the strength and the potency of the said Rune… but, Anastasia didn't use any of that.
She used her finger as a brush, and her power an ink, after all.
srized and in trance, as he looked at Anastasia in work, ti passed quickly, and at one point, her voice, suddenly snapped him, "Done."
At this word spoken by the smiling Anastasia, Christian gathered himself took a deep breath, before he moved closer to Iris and started sizing her up.
Outwardly, Iris didn't seem to change, she still had a petite fra, a teenage appearance, short platinum hair, dyed differently on its edge, and a neon blue eyes.
But, though she didn't change in appearance, she still seed to give him a different vibe…
How could he describe it? Actually, even Christian didn't know.
He could just say that is even more unique than before.
Regardless he concentrated his senses on her, and tried to feel her inwardly changes.
It was a quick assessnt, but, he still felt like she should at least have beco more than ten tis stronger than before.
But, unable to gouge the full extent of her power up, Christian asked her, "So, how do you feel now?"
Iris, who was quietly clenching her hand, and loosening it, repeating this motion in silence, stayed like that without reply for a mont, seemingly really in hard position for answer this ti.
Her calculation speed, seed to be unable to keep up with the pace of things were going, but, after so point, she still raised her head, and looked his eyes intensely, "… more powerful than ever."
Christian chuckled at her words, "I know that already… I ant, how much stroner you have beca, can you tell?"
For Iris to use this kind of vague answer, was sothing new to Christian, and he couldn't but admire, what essence… or more accurately what Runes could do.
"Everything in my body, has literally beca countless ti stronger, be it my body parts, the weapons there, or even my main system… it was a comprehensive upgrade, but I'm unable to estimate the full extension of the upgrade though," Iris said with an apologetic tone, still unable to give him an accurate answer.
For a few seconds, silence seed to descend upon the group of three, at Iris's words.
Christian naturally not dissatisfied, had a joy filled smile on his face, as he admired his best piece of work, Iris though.
He was absorbed in the mont, where he got a subordinate that should be even more powerful than him, when suddenly, seemingly waiting for this mont, Anastasia finally said, "If it's about fire power, then she should be able to defeat anyone under the sixth stage, but, if it's only about the power of her body, then, she should be able to endure up, to two stage more."
"So, maybe around the eighth stage?"
Anastasia seed to ponder over her words, after she said them for a mont, before she shook her head, and added, "Well, while she could endure much of their attacks."
"In the end, she still will not be able to run away from soone at that stage, so, maybe you should lower it by one stage, and say she is undefeated as long as her opponent is not above the seventh stage."
Christian's eyes lit up, at her words, and his eyes, that were already looking at Iris, his prided work, with quite satisfactions, seed to deepen further.
He was pretty satisfied, but, he didn't forget what's important due to his joy, and turned Anastasia and said, "Thank you very much, for your hard work."
Christian expressed his gratitude, and while Anastasia wanted to grumble, with, 'took you long enough,' in the end, she simply nodded, quite satisfied too.
She saw him, as he started moving closer to her, and knowing what he was going to use this opportunity for, she extended her hand first, and held his, before she waved her other one… bringing the three of them, back to his forging room.
Her motion was so fast, that before he knows it, Christian found his surroundings changed.
He didn't dwell on that though, that didn't stop him, for doing what he wanted.
He moved his hand, and started ruffling Anastasia's hair… expressing his gratitude.
Were gratitude, expressed like that?
One might ask, but for Christian it was actually so.
Gratitude were a convenient excuse, where he could get closer to Anastasia.
And so, he didn't let the opportunity slip away from him, and used it wisely, ruffling her hair, and hugging her, to his heart's content!
