195 Studying
Qiao Yue returned to her seat and looked at the book in front of her. While thinking about Jin Lu and her sister, she flipped through the book absentmindedly.
Xu Hao saw that Qiao Yue was studying and turned to look at his own notes. After a while, he turned again to say sothing to Qiao Yue only to find that Qiao Yue had already flipped to the end of the book.
“You don’t have to be so dramatic, do you?” Xu Hao looked at Qiao Yue in disbelief.
“What?” Qiao Yue snapped back to her senses.
“You’ve almost finished revising the entire book? This is advanced mathematics. Even a genius can’t read it so quickly, right?”
Xu Hao’s voice was very loud, and the people around them looked over. Sun Bin also looked over with a look of disbelief on his face.
“You don’t have to insult like this.”
Sun Bin walked over to Qiao Yue’s desk and looked at the book he was reading.
“You consider this an insult?” Qiao Yue realized that Xu Hao had misinterpreted her actions, but she had no intention to explain herself. Qiao Yue burst out laughing. What was going on?
“You need to replenish your vitamins and protein. I asked the servants to prepare these for you.”
Qiao Yue nodded and took the tray from Qiao Yu. As she was about close the door, Qiao Yu grabbed her hand. “Don’t you have anything to ask ?”
Qiao Yue was confused.
“What I an is, is there anything you don’t understand from reading these notes? I can tutor you for a bit.”
Qiao Yue shook her head. “Your notes are very detailed. I can understand them. Don’t worry.”
A look of disbelief appeared on Qiao Yu’s face. How could a student who scored 60 points on average have no questions studying on his own?
“Then let hang out in your room. In case there’s sothing you don’t understand, you can ask right away.”
Qiao Yue couldn’t argue with him, so she let him in.
Qiao Yue looked at the practice questions, while Qiao Yu looked at Qiao Yue with his head rested on one hand.
After a while, Qiao Yu realized that things were not quite what he had expected. Qiao Yue was reading too quickly.
“How can you read so quickly? Are you reading properly?”
“I’m reading carefully,” Qiao Yue said, “and I rember what I read.”
Qiao Yu didn’t believe her. He asked a few questions from the book, and Qiao Yue answered them easily.
“You’ve finished revising this book?”
“I mugged this book today, so yes.” Qiao Yue replied.
Qiao Yu nodded. He didn’t think that he’d misjudged Qiao Yue. Qiao Yue had a good mory, and he could learn very quickly when he was serious.
“I believe that you’ll do well this ti. Study hard.”
He handed the book back to Qiao Yue.
“Since you believe in , you don’t have watch over here. Why don’t you go back first?” Qiao Yue asked.
Qiao Yu kept quiet as he looked at the books on Qiao Yue’s table. He had no intention of leaving.
“Fourth brother, do you have sothing to ask ?”
Qiao Yu shook his head. “Nope. I just want to keep you company. I have nothing to do anyway.”
Qiao Yu’s words were confusing. His request didn’t sound like one between brothers, but more like one between lovers… What was up with Qiao Yu lately? Why was he so clingy?
At this mont, soone knocked on the door.
Qiao Jing was standing outside the door. As soon as he entered, he saw the two of them studying.
Qiao Yu turned to Qiao Jing and smiled. “Second brother.”
“What are you doing here?” Qiao Jing asked.
Qiao Yu opened a book. “I’m studying with Qiao Yue. The mid-term exams are coming up. What’s wrong? Is second brother not happy with sothing?”
“No, I’m here to check on Qiao Yue.”
Qiao Yue listened to their conversation and felt that they were competing with each other.
“How’s your revision going?” Qiao Jing bent down and looked at Qiao Yue’s book.
He recognized Qiao Yu’s handwriting on the book.
“You can ask if there’s anything you don’t understand. Qiao Yu’s also taking the exams, so don’t take up his study ti.”
“I’m basically done with my revision. Helping Qiao Yue can also help rember better.” Qiao Yu said with a smile to Qiao Jing.
