Lu Weixi patted his head, “What are you saying? What if it’s a daughter, and you are calling her a rascal?”
“If it’s a daughter, then she’ll be my little treasure,” Zhiyou cheerfully pressed his face against her belly and waited a long while. It seed as though the child turned over in sleep and then beca still again. But he still rested his head on her legs, basking in her warmth and scent, and seed to relax completely.
After a while, he lifted his head and said, “You’ve worked hard.”
Lu Weixi averted her eyes, her voice indifferent, “It’s not hard. It’s my child too.”
“When I’m done with everything, I shouldn’t be traveling anymore and will stay with you,” Zhiyou said, eyes on her, while she kept her head turned aside. After hearing this, she simply murmured an acknowledgnt.
When she turned her head back around, she found Zhiyou asleep, resting against her legs, soundly asleep.
