Qin Zhiyou suddenly asked, “Xixi, you’re three months pregnant now, right?”
Lu Weixi nodded. Was the timing of her pregnancy even a question? It had happened during the days they had divorced, and they had just been to the hospital for a prenatal checkup a few days ago.
Qin Zhiyou continued, “There are seven months until the due date, and then there’s the confinent period. If we start counting from now, she’ll be out of confinent around September.”
Lu Weixi nodded again. Actually, her pregnancy was going quite well, due around the sumr vacation. Although the confinent period would be tough, she could resu her studies afterward without any delay. She had already reduced her workload these past months, and planned to hire a long-term nanny and housekeeper to help care for the child and her mother, balancing work and studies.
Qin Zhiyou added, “You ntioned before that there was so bleeding, right? The doctor said it might be a threatened miscarriage, that the pregnancy isn’t very stable.”
Lu Weixi nodded again, expecting him to make so profound statent, but Qin Zhiyou imdiately continued, “That ans, for the next eight months, I have to be a monk! While Lu Weixi was at work, Qin Zhiyou brought the lawyer to the Lu family’s ho, where in front of Lu’s mother, they drafted a property plan. It designated that all his future assets would go to his and Lu Weixi’s child, regardless of either party’s death or a divorce.
With the agreent set, Lu’s mother finally agreed to the marriage, though she added, “Let’s talk after the agreent is notarized.”
Qin Zhiyou didn’t mind; having won over his mother-in-law, he could finally prepare to propose to Lu Weixi!
