“Who said I would have let you chase , you were such a jerk back then,” Lu Weixi muttered under her breath, her head resting on his shoulder.
Qin Zhiyou smiled and asked softly, “Do you really mind my past?”
Lu Weixi didn’t answer directly. She just felt herself shifting against his shoulder and turned her face away, “You should also pay attention, even if it’s just for the sake of your own health, it’s best to change. If you really can’t change, just let know in advance so I can be ntally prepared. Just don’t lie to anymore, I am not as fragile as you think.”
She was indeed jealous, but her words were from the heart, and quite rational. So n can genuinely love one woman while still having a bunch around them. If he really couldn’t change, at least he should be honest, not swearing eternal faithfulness in front of his grandfather and then secretly contacting others behind her back.
If he was honest with her, even if she couldn’t accept it for the ti being and they split up, they would still be friends. She didn’t want her marriage and love life to beco a ss like her parents’, ending up like enemies.

For a mont, Qin Zhiyou had so much he wanted to say. He knew that swearing oaths was no longer useful. On one hand, he had indeed, as Lu’s mother requested, found a lawyer and was coming back to sign the docunts to leave all his property to their child in the future. On the other hand, he had already bought a ring and was planning to propose.
The thing was, promises and such, saying them now sohow felt a bit too informal. Plus, he had promised Lu’s mother that he would tell her after the docunts were signed. Even though Lu Weixi might not care about the money, having this security would at least give her so peace of mind.
He swallowed the words he was about to say, and after a mont, just turned his head, gently pecking her on the cheek, “How about this?”
Lu Weixi spoke softly again, “I know you have feelings for , that we are very physically compatible. I also know that you are sowhat sincere towards right now. But people change. In the future, I will age, beco ugly, get wrinkles, go through nopause, and have a bad temper. If after the wear and tear of life, I might not be the sa as I am now, and then, maybe you won’t like anymore, and you’ll find annoying. Just like my mom and dad, they were so in love once, and now they can’t even stand to be in the sa room.”
