7 PM
Outside Dylan’s house.
Jin’s finger pressed the doorbell.
Ring
"I’ll go and open it up!" a young boy’s excited voice ca from inside as Jin heard the rushing of footsteps the next mont, and the door was finally opened.
"Hello, Richy. You’ve grown taller in the ti I didn’t see you," Jin praised when he saw the boy who was looking at him with excitent.
"Uncle Jin! I saw you hit those bad guys the other day, you looked so aweso!" Richy said with stars in his eyes.
"I did?" Jin asked doubtfully.
"He’s talking about the movie. We took him along last week to the movie hall," Dylan’s voice rang from inside as he approached them.
"Oh, did Richy like Uncle’s acting?" Jin asked while patting his head.
"Yes! I loved it!" he replied delightfully while laughing.
"Good, then watch more of Uncle’s movies in the future," Jin also laughed and entered the house with him.
He passed the champagne bottle he was holding in his hand to Dylan.
"There was no need for this." Dylan sighed as he accepted the champagne, which was nothing less than expensive.
"Eh, co on, I would feel embarrassed if I ca empty-handed," Jin said as he passed a small bar of chocolate to Richy, who was looking towards him with wanting eyes.
"Yay! Thanks, Uncle, you’re the best!" Richy giggled and ran inside with the chocolate bar to show it to his mother.
"You’re looking much better than before," Dylan said with a smile. He felt glad to see that he was looking much better than before.
"Yep, it feels like the weight that had been pressing on my shoulders for all this while has finally been removed," Jin replied with a short chuckle and went inside with Dylan.
He greeted Erika, who was in the kitchen, before finally settling in the drawing room with Dylan.
"So you’ll start working from tomorrow onwards, right?" Dylan asked the next mont.
"Yep, the acting bug inside has been itching for these past few days." Jin grinned.
"That’s good, then, ’cause there’s a mountain of scripts that you need to go through starting tomorrow. I’ve piled it all properly for you in the office so you can imdiately begin the mont you enter my office room tomorrow," Dylan said in a relieved manner.
If Jin had not contacted him today, he would have been planning to go through all those scripts by himself starting next week.
"That’s no problem. However, can you brief on how the events took place after the film’s release?" Jin asked curiously. There were just too many articles online, and he didn’t want to go over them all one by one.
"Well, your film Spying the Seven Nations was released a little more than a month ago. At that ti, we thought that the turnout would slowly increase, but as luck may have it, all the major theatres around the country were fully booked on the first day itself.
It was all because of Mr. Anderson’s well-edited trailers. They started a storm in the online world and created various debates. The fact that you won the LIFA award also further contributed to your fa, and together, all these factors resulted in a grand debut which we weren’t expecting.
If it was only that, then things would not have escalated this much, as the movie would have lost popularity over ti. The deciding factor was, of course, your acting.
Having seen your acting as a villain beforehand, many had expected that you would act in the sa manner. That’s what shocked them when they saw you acting like a totally different person who’s morally gray. By the end of the film, you gained a ton of new fans who openly declared that they couldn’t imagine any other actor doing that role with such finesse.
Everything after that was just a snowball effect, and it resulted in the present scenario where at least six out of ten people have heard of you."
Dylan said with a grin.
Hearing everything from Dylan’s mouth, Jin couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows and smile in an amazed fashion.
"Damn! I wonder how many new fans I’ve acquired," Jin couldn’t help but mutter.
"Well, there’s no accurate gauge for it, but still, you can check your number of followers on social dia to get so idea," Dylan suggested with a hint of expectation in his eyes.
"Why didn’t I think of it? You’re right!" Jin took out his phone and checked his social dia account, and the next mont his eyes widened in surprise.
Last ti he checked, he had two million followers. However, now, the number was more than tenfold!
"22.6 million!" Jin exclaid in horror.
"Hahaha! Just look at your face," Dylan started laughing when he saw Jin’s reaction.
It was then that Erika’s voice ca from the kitchen.
"Dinner’s ready!"
A few minutes later, everyone was seated around the dinner table.
"How’s the food, Jin?" Erika asked with a smile.
"It’s as delicious as ever, Erika. I’m just jealous thinking how Dylan gets to eat your food every day," Jin chuckled.
"You tell him! Instead of taking my handmade food for the office, he always goes to the cafeteria instead for lunch," Erika snorted jokingly at Jin’s words.
"Hey, I never said your cooking wasn’t good. It’s just more convenient to eat at the cafeteria," Dylan explained with a sigh.
Seeing this, both Jin and Erika chuckled.
The dinner went on, and after serving the dessert, Richy was soon taken to his room where his little brother, George, was resting.
A while later, Erika poured three glasses of champagne and sat next to Dylan. They drank a couple of glasses before Dylan finally said, "There was also sothing else that I wanted to tell you. That’s why I invited you for dinner tonight."
"Oh? What’s that?" Jin asked curiously.
"Before that, let ask you a question. Have you found soone during these three months that you were away?" Dylan asked as Erika looked towards Jin with concerned eyes.
Jin frowned a little at this unexpected question but still answered, "...No, I haven’t."
"You know that it will beco more and more difficult to get a proper partner as your fa increases, right?" Dylan asked with slight worry.
"I do... but after what happened earlier... I think I would like to take my ti," Jin muttered. He knew that it would take ti to nd things with Diana, if that was even possible.
Hearing this, Erika couldn’t help but jump into the conversation. "Jin, do you by any chance still have feelings for Diana?"
Hearing Diana’s na all of a sudden, Jin’s brows raised in surprise as he stared at Erika, who was looking at him with an inquisitive expression.
Not wanting to lie about this fact, he slightly nodded his head.
"Y-yes, I do..." Jin muttered.
"Great! Then you can just nd it back!" Erika said in excitent.
Jin couldn’t help but comnt despondently while staring downwards, "How could that be easy? Diana must hate to the core after I’ve betrayed her trust."
Erika’s smile brightened, hearing Jin’s response, as she continued, "It doesn’t matter whether it’s easy or not. What matters is whether she still has feelings for you or not, and from what I know, she really does."
Jin raised his head in shock the very next mont. Seeing the bright and confident smile on Erika’s face, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of hope rising in his heart as he asked, "S-she still has feelings for ?"
