Han Fei still wanted to ask the white cat so more questions, but at that mont, screams suddenly ca from the street outside. Without saying a word, he ran out imdiately.

"What happened?"

A puddle of blood was left in the middle of the dirt road. Inevitable Truth’s Braised Pork was clutching his arm, looking anxious: "The Little Ghost took the horoom teacher away!"

"The horoom teacher? The player with the Ghost Language talent?" Han Fei first checked Braised Pork’s wound: "Which direction did they run?"

"I don’t know. We were just about to return to the old house in the garden when it seed like the ball was always following the horoom teacher. By the ti players noticed, the ball and the horoom teacher were already gone!" Braised Pork’s face twisted in pain: "We chased along the street, but those ghost children began to hinder us."

"With so many players, why did the ghost children specifically take the Ghost Speaker?" Han Fei’s passive Hide-and-Seek talent was triggered. He observed his surroundings and found the horoom teacher’s shoe prints: "Take care of yourselves; I’ll go ahead and take a look."

Following the trail, Han Fei reached the outskirts of the village.

If there was still so sense of life in the village, the outskirts were completely a ghostly land, with strangely twisted trees crowding together, thorn-filled bushes in which spike-covered brambles were hidden. At a glance, several grave mounds were visible, and the only road was littered with various stones and dead wood.

"It’s not easy for Yao Qiang to have found such a secluded place."

Han Fei reached the spot where the horoom teacher’s shoe prints disappeared. Just as he parted the grass, he heard the sound of a ball bouncing on the ground.

Turning around, a few shabbily dressed children had surrounded him. They made no sound when walking, and Han Fei didn’t even know when they arrived.

A normal person would certainly be startled, but Han Fei’s ntal fortitude was too strong. Not only did he not feel scared, but he also sincerely felt that these kids were very genuine, not appearing to have bad intentions at all.

Touching the head of the child closest to him, he even left the child confused. The child sniffed and looked up at Han Fei with their dirty face and bright eyes.

"Do you want to play with you? I know many gas." The Child King’s leadership aura intimidated the village’s children, and they didn’t dare to reply, only hesitantly shaking their heads.

"You don’t want to play with you, could it be you want to kill ?" Han Fei gently patted the boy’s head, but the words made the children’s already cold hearts grow even colder, causing them to shake their heads faster.

"You don’t want to play with ? Nor do you want to kill ? Then why are you seeking ?"

The child holding the ball beckoned to Han Fei, leading him into the bushes. After walking for about ten ters, Han Fei saw the unconscious "horoom teacher" on an old grave.

"You didn’t kill him, did you? Such considerate kids." Han Fei praised them a bit and then went to the horoom teacher’s side: "How could a player with supernatural talent be scared unconscious by a ghost?"

Han Fei used the ability to touch the secrets of the soul’s depths and tapped the "horoom teacher’s" face: "Wake up, I’ll take you to see the Catgirl."

Groggily opening his eyes, the horoom teacher crawled up from the grave and shrank behind Han Fei: "Be careful of those kids; they’re weird!"

"Got it." Han Fei lifted the horoom teacher onto his back and continued following the leading child.

After walking for a full five minutes, they stopped in front of an ancient well, its mouth sealed with planks of wood on which a large stone was placed.

The boy holding the ball lingered by the well, gesticulating as if hoping Han Fei would open the planks and rescue soone from inside.

"There’s a seal on the wellhead. Don’t let those ghosts trap you! They want to use you to open the seal. Yao Qiang wasn’t lying to us. This village is very evil; dark ghosts are everywhere!" The horoom teacher clutched Han Fei’s arm, believing Han Fei was the team’s core and that breaking the nightmare would rely on Han Fei’s power: "If you really want to open the well, let do it."

"Have you ever thought about sothing? Yao Qiang cared so much about his child; why did he bring his already cursed child to such a ghost-filled place?" Han Fei pointed out the crux of the problem: "Yao Qiang once said there were more ghosts in the big city. Yao Yuan was already cursed by then, and he ca here to escape the ghosts, but soon, various ghosts began to appear in the countryside."

"What do you an to say?"

"It’s simple, the village ghosts appeared because of Yao Qiang and his son. It’s very likely that they’re the ones who started the village’s transformation." Han Fei moved the stone aside and tore off the various talisman writings on the wood: "These talismans resemble those in Yao Yuan’s house. This well might have been sealed by Yao Qiang himself."

Lifting the wooden boards, a faint grudge energy drifted out from the well, and Han Fei vaguely heard the sound of a child crying within.

The surrounding children all gathered around, looking very worried.

"It’s pitch black down there; nothing can be seen. Should we go back and get a lamp or torch?" The horoom teacher also wanted to find the ghost quickly.

"This is too troubleso." Han Fei jumped onto the edge of the well: "I’ll go down and take a look."

"No, no, no!" The horoom teacher quickly hugged Han Fei: "This is ridiculous! Who jumps into a well to check for ghosts? Are you trying to get yourself killed?"

"If we go back to get a flashlight, we won’t have enough ti." Han Fei pushed the horoom teacher aside and jumped in directly, leaving the teacher utterly dumbfounded.

Supporting himself with hands on the well wall, Han Fei moved downwards, and the crying from the bottom of the well grew clearer and clearer.

His feet touched the ground, and in the darkness, Han Fei fumbled around. First, his hand ran into a toy robot brought from the city, and then his fingertips touched an icy cold face.

"Don’t be afraid, I’ll get you out of here."

The crying gradually subsided, and after a mont, a boy weakly asked, "Why are you telling not to be afraid? Shouldn’t you be the one who’s scared?"

"Who threw you into the well? Yao Qiang said there’s a monster with a human face and wolf body outside the village. Have you seen it?" Han Fei felt no fear at all, as the grudge energy on these children was very faint.

"There’s no such thing as a monster with a human face and wolf body. It was Yao Qiang who threw into the well! He said I and the village children are all ghosts, but we didn’t do anything wrong!" The boy’s voice from the bottom of the well got a bit louder and the grudge began to intensify.

"I also don’t think Yao Qiang is a good person." Han Fei wasn’t going to miss the chance to communicate with an actual "ghost": "Can you tell how you got to know him? And why he locked you up here?"

"His family moved here from the city. My friends and I saw that his child was lonely and wanted to invite him to play. His child was very introverted at first, not saying a word, but he gradually integrated with us. We took great care of him, never letting him be ’it’ when playing hide-and-seek and never bullied him." The boy at the bottom of the well was sowhat aggrieved: "Later, Yao Qiang saw his child playing with us and got very angry, scolding us harshly. Yao Yuan was very afraid of his father and left without a word."

"But that’s no reason to throw you into the well?" Han Fei felt there must be more to the story.

"The village is so small that we played together often. Sotis Yao Yuan would watch us from the window, looking very pitiful, like he was locked in a prison. Each ti his dad found out, he’d chase us away and not allow us to speak loudly. Gradually, we also started disliking Yao Yuan, thinking of him as a little prince from the city." Grudge gathered on the boy’s body: "Not long after, Yao Qiang sealed Yao Yuan’s window shut to prevent him from being disturbed. I heard they were preparing for so competition? To keep Yao Yuan from being influenced, Yao Qiang even spread rumors that we were wild kids with diseases."

"In reality, you weren’t ghosts, but when Yao Qiang said you were, you really beca ghosts?" Han Fei boldly speculated.

"I don’t know about the others, my situation was different." There was a trace of grudge in the boy’s voice: "I felt sorry for Yao Yuan, so I wanted to secretly bring him so fun things from the village, like rare lucky grass, fur balls spit out by cats, anew comic book from the bookstore... But once, when I was delivering sothing, I accidentally overheard Yao Qiang arguing with soone on the phone. He seed to be afraid of being overheard by the people in the house, so he left the house with the phone and went outside the village."

"Did you follow him?"

"I was curious, so I kept eavesdropping, and found out Yao Qiang seed to be planning to get a new mother for Yao Yuan. The person’s na seed to be sothing Qian." As the boy spoke, the grudge reached a peak: "I wanted to hear more clearly, but was eventually discovered by Yao Qiang, and he threw into the dry well."

"In this light, it seems Yao Qiang is the most terrifying ghost." Han Fei lifted the boy’s body: "Co on, I’ll carry you up."

"Wait, all the adults in the village have gone out to work, who are you?" The boy was inexplicably carried by Han Fei. Although he thought Han Fei was a good person, the excessive enthusiasm made him nervous; could he have run into a ghost trafficker?

"Yao Qiang asked to co exorcise evil spirits for his son, but now I feel the real evil spirit is hiding inside Yao Qiang!" Han Fei patted the boy’s hand: "Hold on tight to my neck, I’m climbing up now."

The boy’s cold small hands wrapped around Han Fei’s neck, feeling Han Fei’s body warmth. He didn’t understand why this person in front of him trusted a ghost so much.

Climbing out of the dry well, Han Fei was surrounded by children, a veritable Child King.

"Thank you for saving ." The boy was very polite, climbing down from Han Fei’s back, hesitated for a mont, then said again: "I don’t know if I count as human or ghost now, but if you ever need help, you can find ."

Han Fei nodded. Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly felt sothing in his brain sea was triggered, almost as if his Greed Personality was activated. That montary greed nearly swallowed the little boy whole.

"Swallowing ghosts in a nightmare doesn’t seem difficult after all."

To prevent scaring the children, Han Fei hurriedly carried the horoom teacher and ran to the village bookstore.

"Brother Han, what’s your profession? Ghosts see you and it’s like they’ve seen family, your ability is freakish!" The horoom teacher also possessed supernatural-type talent, but he felt worlds apart from Han Fei.

"I didn’t use any ability, it’s just empathy." Han Fei didn’t tell the horoom teacher what he was actually thinking. After the Greed Personality suddenly activated, blood silk flickered in his eyes, uncontrollable ambition wanting to devour everything.

The boy’s unintentional remark ignited the fla in the abyss of Han Fei’s personality.

"In every shrine world, you can take out three ghosts. Does this nightmare count as a mini shrine world?"
