516: Chapter 516: No Acting, All Emotions (6000 Votes for Monthly Pass) 516: Chapter 516: No Acting, All Emotions (6000 Votes for Monthly Pass) Ripples appeared on the surface of the Blood Sea, and Han Fei gazed into the depths of the Ghost Gate, concentrating his attention to recall Bai Xian’s appearance.

The Soul Bell rang out, and the Soul Banners within the Death Building shook continuously, as one Paperman after another opened their eyes.

The ripples slowly expanded, and a vast shadow was rising from the unfathomable depths of the Blood Sea!

The Ghost Faces in the air were startled, fleeing in all directions; Han Fei’s fingers stretching towards the Ghost Gate also suddenly bore multiple wounds.

“No!

This is definitely not Bai Xian!”

The massive shadow was about to erge from the Blood Sea, when Han Fei swung his bloodstained arm, imdiately stopping his use of his Talent.

He pressed the Soul Bell, the blood silks in the Attribute Panel rapidly receded, and the Soul-summoning Ghost Gate began to close slowly.

Han Fei took several steps backward, leaning against the wall and looking at his hand bleeding profusely: “What was that thing?”

It was the first ti the Soul-summoning Talent had failed, and Han Fei had almost summoned sothing from beneath the Blood Sea.

Just thinking about the aura of that shadow caused his heartbeat to start accelerating uncontrollably: “With my 30 points of Physical Strength, if I attempted to forcefully summon sothing from beneath the Blood Sea, I fear it might not have erged before the pressure would have caused to dissolve utterly, soul scattering.”

He took out a piece of at from the Item Bar and devoured it; once his Blood Volu recovered, he once again opened the Attribute Panel.

“Since the upgrade, the Soul-summoning Talent can be used twice a night.

The first failure doesn’t matter; I still have one more chance.”

Han Fei reflected carefully on the reason for the failed summoning; it might be related to Bai Xian not having been steeped in much dark energy: “Two Soul-summoning attempts on the sa person, even Huang Ying never had such a privilege, I’ve done enough for Bai Xian.”

Taking a deep breath, Han Fei touched the Soul-summoning Talent again: “Bai Xian accompanied outside twice, the first ti to the abandoned Plastic Surgery Hospital, a place overflowing with Dark Energy; the second ti was just now, when he passed by the Painter and white shoes.

Logically, he should be considered a witness to supernatural phenona, having encountered a ghost.”

Blood silks crawled across the Attribute Panel, and the Ghost Gate opened once more, as Han Fei concentrated intensely on the Blood Sea, gently shaking the Soul-guiding Bell left by the Butterfly.

“Bai Xian!”

After the image of Bai Xian erged in his mind, a giant red Ghost Face suddenly plunged into the Blood Sea, its mouth full of sharp teeth biting into sothing within the Blood Sea.

When the Ghost Face leaped out of the Blood Sea, there was an additional white snake in its mouth.

The Ghost Face almost instantly rged with the white snake upon leaving the Blood Sea, and the white snake also turned into a blurry soul, forcibly dragged into the Ghost Gate.

“Bang!”

The blood-colored Ghost Gate closed slowly, and this ti the summoning was successful!

Sitting on the ground, Han Fei let out a sigh of relief; using the fog, he roughly sensed Bai Xian’s location.

“He’s too close to the Big Evil, I should go help him.”

After donning the Beast-faced Mask, Han Fei changed into a clean Security Guard uniform, pushed open the door, and headed downstairs.

In room 4403, Bai Xian, dressed in casual clothes, was sitting on the floor, his mouth slightly open, his eyes wide as if he had forgotten to breathe.

“What does this an?”

Putting down the “Actor’s Self-cultivation” book in his hand, Bai Xian rose from the ground, looking towards the floor strewn with Paper Money and the walls covered with various strange plants.

“I just turned on the TV; how co my ho is gone?”

With uncertainty, Bai Xian touched the wall, the real feel of it not at all like being in a ga.

“Did I trigger so hidden task?

This room feels rather creepy, doesn’t it?”

Bai Xian tried to calm himself down: “I read online that there are Easter eggs everywhere in ‘Perfect Life’; if one diligently searches, they will find a unique gaming experience.

Could it be that I’ve hit the jackpot?”

Bai Xian carefully pinched the plant on the wall with two fingers, intending to find out what it truly was, when suddenly he heard footsteps.

“Is the hoowner coming?”

Opening the door, Bai Xian looked outside, but the cold corridor was empty.

“Is anybody there?”

Bai Xian slowly moved forward, unable to understand why a ga that is primarily about healing would contain such a scene.

“With Paper Money scattered on the ground, I must have co across a sorrowful little story.” Bai Xian took a few steps forward and suddenly saw a figure: “Is this a quest NPC?”

Quickening his pace, Bai Xian walked through the corridor, ready to greet the person, when he suddenly realized sothing was amiss.

Usually, it’s understandable for an adult to scatter Paper Money in the hallway; after all, they might be mourning a deceased family mber.

But Bai Xian had never seen an adult man bending over and painstakingly picking up Paper Money from the ground!

He hadn’t seen wrong; the person in front of him had stuffed all the paper money from the hallway into his own bosom.

How to explain it?

Could paper money be recycled or was it possible to actually spend this paper money?

Bai Xian felt he had encountered an idiot; in such a bizarre environnt, he wasn’t too keen on getting close to the stranger.

He stopped in place, but the adult man picking up the paper money was inching towards him along the trail of notes on the ground.

After a mont of thought, Bai Xian quickly ran in the opposite direction.

“What’s going on here?

Is this a mission to care for the disabled?” While his mind was buzzing with various queries, Bai Xian didn’t watch his step and accidentally kicked sothing.

Looking down, he saw a Spiritual Altar toppled on the ground.

“Sorry, so sorry,” Bai Xian apologized to the Spiritual Altar repeatedly, bending down to right it.

But just as his hand was about to touch the altar, his eyes suddenly caught sight of an extra pair of shoes on it.

Looking up, a tall, lanky man in a black coat, emitting an ominous aura, was squatting on the Spiritual Altar.

“Seeing you just irritates , you vile creature,” the man’s tone was thick with loathing.

“I was actually going to apologize to you, but since you put it that way, don’t bla …” Bai Xian pulled out a tattered bandage from the item bar and wound it around his fingers.

Then he lifted his head only to see the man’s chest.

Bai Xian continued to tilt back his head and saw the man’s elongated neck.

Only when he tilted his head to a hundred and twenty degrees did he finally see the man’s cheeks adhering to the ceiling.

“Wha—fuck?”

The bandage that was wrapped around his hand fell to the ground, and Bai Xian even forgot how to run.

“Bla for what?” The head on the ceiling drew closer, as Li Zai’s face ca right before Bai Xian, his body contorted at an impossible angle.

Bai Xian’s mind went blank; he recalled that “Perfect Life” was really supposed to be a laid-back lifestyle ga!

Blood slid down Li Zai’s neck as his chest skin began to tear apart.

Bai Xian couldn’t help but stare at it; oh Lord, it had only been a few days since he had watched an unboxing video with Han Fei, and now he was about to experience a second unboxing!

The human skin on Li Zai’s chest tore apart, revealing another human face inside his body!

“I can’t suppress my brother anymore; the foul stench from you woke him up!” Li Zai roared as two arms constructed of grudge erged from his chest, and Li Zai’s brother directly crawled out of his torso.

During this entire process, Bai Xian just stood there, too stunned to react – no, he was completely stunned.

At the critical mont, suddenly a slender arm reached over, pulling Bai Xian and running towards the other side of the hallway.

Li Zai’s brother chased after them, screaming shrilly like a wild beast out of control.

It was only after being dragged quite a distance away that Bai Xian suddenly scread, regaining his composure from the terror and frantically sprinting forward.

With his hand in the girl’s grip, Bai Xian followed the girl who had just saved him up several floors until the roaring ceased before he slowed down.

His gaze shifted to the child who had rescued him – a very cute and peaceful little girl in a lovely dress.

“Thank you for saving , that was truly terrifying!” Bai Xian wiped the cold sweat on his forehead, his lips quivering.

The girl didn’t speak but kept pulling him to continue running upward.

At first, Bai Xian didn’t resist, but gradually he sensed sothing was amiss.

The girl in front seed to be no more than seven or eight years old, yet when he had fled with all his might earlier, he couldn’t catch up to her.

As an actor, Bai Xian had always paid close attention to his fitness, and his physical strength was much better than the average person.

“Um…

little sister, could you stop for a mont?” Bai Xian asked softly.

The girl in front stopped obediently, turning her head to look at Bai Xian.

When Bai Xian saw the girl’s face, he first breathed a sigh of relief because she looked very cute and not like the ghostly face he had imagined.

But then he beca perplexed; the girl’s eyes were covered with a black cloth – how could she see the road ahead?

“Little sister, you have a blindfold on, can you see where you’re going?” Bai Xian finished speaking, and the girl stopped on the staircase.

She seed to find Bai Xian’s question absurd – would being blindfolded prevent her from seeing the road?

Cocking her head to face Bai Xian, the kind girl seed to want to give Bai Xian an answer, gently raising her hand.

Eyes began to open on the walls and ceiling of the corridor, and all those dark pupils focused on Bai Xian.

His legs went weak, and Bai Xian’s scalp tingled; he didn’t even know how he fell down the stairs, only that when he landed, every cell in his body was screaming to flee.

On all fours, Bai Xian scurried and stumbled towards the adjoining hallway.

“Help!

Soone help !”

The heart-wrenching cries for help echoed through the Death Building as Bai Xian finally shattered the emotional chains within his heart.

The despair he showed in this mont was far more real than any role he had ever played in “Mystery Novelist”.

“Help ee!”

In the gloomy hallway, shrouded with a faint fog, Bai Xian had no idea where to run, but he dared not stop.

Ambiguous cries floated by his ears, and peering gazes seed to transmit from behind the doors, Bai Xian had never cried so sorrowfully in his life.

“This damn ga’s advertising is deceitful; it’s a smile concealing a knife, soft on the outside but tough on the inside.”

After regaining his calm, Bai Xian opened his Attribute Panel: “All this unboxing made go dumb, I totally forgot this is a ga.”

His eyes scrolled down continuously: “Once I exit the ga, I will imdiately file a complaint about this…”

Before he could finish his thought, Bai Xian’s gaze landed on the bottom of the Attribute Panel, tilting his head and parting his lips in disbelief: “Is sothing missing from this Attribute Panel?”

He looked over it again and again, and on the fifth look, Bai Xian was certain he wasn’t mistaken—the Ga Exit Key was missing from his Attribute Panel!

“Damn it!”

Bai Xian hadn’t sworn as much in the past half-year as he had in this half-hour.

“Where’s my exit key?!”

Cold sweat poured down Bai Xian’s face as he realized why the ga had only good reviews—those who wanted to give bad reviews couldn’t find the exit key!

Frozen in place, Bai Xian felt as if the world had abandoned him.

The crying nearby grew louder, and far away it seed as though a shadowy figure was darting through the fog, rushing towards him.

Listening to the mournful cries and watching the figure get closer, Bai Xian felt as if the God of Death was beckoning to him.

He didn’t know where to escape, but then he turned and saw the room door behind him.

With gritted teeth, he opened the room door and walked in.

Regulating his breathing, Bai Xian, after all, was a top-notch actor who had been in the acting scene for over a decade; he hid in the pitch-black room, body pressed against the door, hands covering his mouth and nose.

“I absolutely cannot make any sound!”

Holding his breath, Bai Xian’s heart raced with each step coming from outside.

He clenched his teeth, forgetting everything, completely subrged in fear.

In this life-and-death escape, he could only think about the next step after avoiding the ghosts outside.

Bai Xian indeed made no sound, but his ears caught a strange noise coming from behind him.

At this critical mont, being chased by ghosts and monsters, any sound could reveal his presence.

Bai Xian furrowed his brow and looked behind him.

As his gaze moved, Bai Xian turned his head and saw a black devil nearly five ters long crouching in the living room behind him!

The ugliness and ferocity were indescribable; it was hidden in the darkness, even more terrifying than darkness itself.

Bai Xian was asphyxiating; the visions of his life flashed before his eyes.

“In the end, I still didn’t beco the Movie Emperor…”

The extrely horrific black Giant Ghost lood forward, and at that very mont, the door behind Bai Xian was pulled open.

Light shone on Bai Xian’s face, and he saw a person wearing a beast-faced mask who was sowhat familiar to him.

“Don’t stay in this room.”

The vaguely familiar voice ca through, and as the masked man was about to take off the mask and move closer, the more than five-ter-long monster suddenly accelerated and ramd into the masked man!

A mouthful of blood nearly sprayed on Bai Xian’s face, and he watched the masked man get sent flying by the monster, completely breaking down.

Screaming, he ran towards the end of the fog, releasing all the emotions accumulated in his heart, he shouted hysterically for help.

At this mont, he played the part of despair to perfection.

There was not a trace of acting to be seen on him, only emotions overflowing.

“Hurry, hurry up!

Stop him!”

Han Fei, holding the beast-faced mask, got up from the ground.

He really hadn’t expected Big Evil to be so enthusiastic, rely hearing his voice and then charging straight out—worthy of a pet with a Loyalty of ninety.

Taking out a pig heart cooked by Xu Qin from the Item Bar, Han Fei chomped on the well-done at, replenishing his blood volu while chasing after Bai Xian.

“Brother Bai!”

“Don’t co any closer!”

“It’s !

Don’t run away yet!”

“Don’t co over!”

Bai Xian ran to the end of the corridor and reached the window.

He smashed the glass with his elbow and gazed at the city shrouded in darkness outside.

At this mont, he had cast off the restraints that acting had imposed on him and had reverted to his simplest and most genuine self.

In such circumstances, he had to make his final choice.

“In the end, I still couldn’t beco…”

Before he could finish his sentence, he saw a woman falling from the window outside.

The woman, who had jumped from the building, had a strange expression on her face, and as she “passed by” him, she even gave him a push, sending him away from the window.

“I was pushed back by a woman jumping off a building?”

This complex situation caused Bai Xian’s brain to crash once again.

He stood dumbfounded, staring at the window, until the mont the woman jumped out the window again, pushing his mind to the limit and causing him to faint.

“Brother Bai!” Han Fei finished the pig heart Xu Qin had made for him in just a few bites, thanked Zhuang Wen outside the window, and then helped Bai Xian up: “It’s over, he probably won’t wake up anyti soon.”

Feng Ziyu and the Death Building security guards also rushed out.

Everyone was holding Paperman and the like, but none of it had been used.

“It seems we need to lower the difficulty of the entertainnt activities we prepare for players in the future,” Han Fei touched Bai Xian and saw his attributes, finally understanding why Li Zai disliked Bai Xian so much.

Looking at the ordinary Bai Xian, his Luck Value was as high as ten.

His own initial Luck Value was eight, and he had married a hidden NPC in the ga who could enhance player attributes, gaining a status called Love’s Blessing, adding one to his Luck Value on the existing basis.

The key was that he had found an extrely rare E-grade ring item sowhere—Naless Hero.

Wearing the ring ant no Reputation could be gained, but it did grant one point of Luck.

Bai Xian himself had not been desperate to level up, just logging in at night for so casual relaxation, but even so, he had reached level thirteen.

If Tie Nan knew about it, he would probably be infuriated to death.

Apart from Luck, his other attributes were quite average, but the account of Bai Xian actually had two Talents.

The first Talent was called Acting Specialization, D-grade.

Possessing this Talent would grant outstanding acting skills.

The second Talent was nad Lucky One, a B-grade Talent.

Having this Talent would always lead to good fortune.

Looking at the ring on Bai Xian’s finger, Han Fei felt a bit jealous.

He and the neighbors ford a circle, everyone coming over to see the Lucky One.

“Luck Value is the hardest attribute to raise, and he has ten points?

No wonder even when using the Soul Bell, I had to summon him twice before I could bring him over, and the second ti a Ghost Face charged into the Blood Sea and forcibly dragged him out.”

Compared to the grand environnt of Death Building, Bai Xian did indeed seem to be out of place; none of the five players Han Fei had previously t in a team had a Luck Value as high as Bai Xian.

“What’s the use of a high Luck Value?

Isn’t he still lying on the ground, even more unfortunate than the others I’ve seen before?” Li Zai was sowhat hostile toward Bai Xian.

It seed that the aura emanating from Bai Xian was quite unfriendly to him.

“He does appear to be more unfortunate than others; perhaps…” Han Fei stroked his chin, considering a possibility: “Could it be that eting has already used up all his luck?”

“Ha ha.” Ha ha ca over and gave a perfunctory laugh: “First, let’s take him to a safe place; the Hatred from the Plastic Surgery Hospital could co at any ti, and Death Building is their primary target.”

Han Fei wanted to log off, not only to complete a task but also to stay for three hours.

There was still ti before the three hours were up, so he decided to first return to Happiness Residental Community and ask Wei Youfu and ng Shi to take care of Bai Xian.

“Don’t worry, I treat Bai Xian as a brother,” Han Fei assured, calling Cry and Ying Yue and then carrying Bai Xian away from the Death Building.

“When Huang Ying arrived, he also had the porridge cooked by ng Shi.

That cozy little house could indeed give people strength.” As Han Fei walked, he thought about how to explain everything to Bai Xian.

He had arranged a lot at the beginning, but Bai Xian ran off too quickly and ended up rushing into the room where the Big Evil was hiding.

In the Death Building with so many rooms, this player with a Luck Value as high as ten seed to have made contact with every neighbor.

Perhaps this was a revelation from the God of Luck, allowing him to greet his colleagues and family first?

After a long absence from Happiness Residental Community, Han Fei felt incredibly warm inside upon seeing the lights on in building one.

Carrying Bai Xian, he knocked on the door of ng Shi’s ho.

The old lady, just like before, was waiting inside for her children to co ho.

The previous Building Chief had tampered with ng Shi’s soul, making her forget all the pain.

In the entire Happiness Residental Community, others had chosen to face their fate head-on, fighting with all their might, seeking the end of the night for light.

Only ng Shi and her grandson had chosen to stay in the community, guarding the last lamp within it.

Actually, this was also quite good.

No matter how far Han Fei and the others ventured, as long as they returned, there would be a glimr of light in the community.

“Granny, this man is nad Bai Xian, and I entrust you to take care of him.

The specific process, just like last ti with Huang Ying,” Han Fei stayed by the side.

From Bai Xian’s performance in Death Building, it would seem that Bai Xian had already broken through the emotional shackles and released all the pent-up feelings in his heart.

With a little guidance, his acting could achieve a new realm.

“Although the process was fast, I have already fulfilled Brother Bai’s wish; now I should ask for his opinion,” Ham Fei contemplated.

ng Shi went into the kitchen to cook porridge, and her grandson set the tableware on the table, a harmonious and warm scene where even the lights inside seed to carry a warmth.

The door was knocked.

Hearing that Han Fei had returned, Wei Youfu also ca downstairs with Little Eight to visit.

The victims of the Human-body Puzzle case had almost fully recovered, and Little Eight had beco much more cheerful; she held a small flower pot in her hands, which seed to be her most treasured possession.

“You’re back.” Wei Youfu smiled and greeted Han Fei like it was natural to reconvene with family during the New Year’s celebrations.
