344: Chapter 344: Clues to the New Building Chief’s Appointnt 344: Chapter 344: Clues to the New Building Chief’s Appointnt The number 4144 indicated that Han Fei had now run into building four, and also proved that the wardrobe passage truly connected different rooms.
This Curse Item, resembling a variation of a portal in a ga, sparked great interest in Han Fei.
“As long as we kill the Butterfly, the closets and the building will all belong to everyone!”
The Death Building was now owned by the Butterfly, by the Manager; it treated everyone as tools and toys, sacrificing everyone’s interests to achieve its own goals.
But if Han Fei beca the Manager of the Death Building, he would respect the decisions of the majority and let more “people” find themselves again.
“Hold on!
Why do I feel like sothing is pulling on my back!
For real!” The middle-aged man running at the back of the group turned pale.
He kept twisting his head to look behind him, but even on the verge of snapping his neck, he couldn’t see what had crawled onto his back.
Everyone was running for their lives, and the middle-aged man dared not shout too loud, so he endured the discomfort and tried hard to follow behind the woman.
In the pitch-black corridor, the sound-controlled lights flickered on and off.
Compared to building one, the hallway of building four looked much more dilapidated.
Every household’s door had traces of Burning Paper Money and photographs left behind, as if they were all performing Soul-summoning.
“What on earth does the Butterfly want to do?”
The interior of the building was filled with Dark Energy, an ominous terror unrelated to Ghosts and Monsters.
It seed as if people’s hearts had changed in this place, fernting into sothing else.
Pushing open the safety door, the old door hinges creaked and groaned.
Han Fei looked at the dark corridor outside but didn’t dare to run out imdiately.
Songs, elusive and faint, drifted in from outside.
Han Fei’s ring was already overwheld, with several more cracks on it.
It was likely that the original owner of the ring had never imagined Han Fei would wear it and directly enter a place like the Death Building, encountering the Unspeakable song head-on multiple tis.
“Why have we stopped?” the woman asked in puzzlent, “I have a very bad feeling about this place, it seems even less safe than inside the wardrobe.”
“Can you hear the singing outside?”
“Singing?” The woman shook her head, “I don’t hear anything.”
“Are you two in love or sothing?
Big brother and sister, there’s really sothing wrong with my back!” The middle-aged man in Blood Clothes finally caught up to them, grabbing Han Fei’s hand, “Please check my back for , I felt like sothing was pulling on while I was running!”
Han Fei looked at the middle-aged man’s back, where a God Statue was perched in the middle of his spine, its head looking as though it wanted to burrow into the man’s spinal column.
“Is there sothing wrong?
Did you two see anything?
Is it a bug?” The middle-aged man swung his chubby hand around, but he couldn’t quite reach the spot.
“It’s just a small bug, don’t scare yourself.
Take a deep breath first, then relax,” Han Fei told the middle-aged man not to look back, then he took the Rebirth Saber out from the Item Bar, “Bro, just to be nosy, what did you do before?
Have you ever killed anyone?”
“How could I possibly kill soone?
I haven’t even killed a chicken!”
“Then that’s fine.” The Rebirth Saber beca sharper when facing enemies with hands stained with fresh blood.
Han Fei was being considerate; he didn’t want to accidentally hurt the middle-aged man.
Lifting the Blood Clothes, Han Fei grasped the hilt of the saber and controlled the dazzling blade as he swung down with force!
The God Statue’s body was directly sliced off, turning into Fragnts, but what surprised Han Fei was that as the statue shattered, its face slowly twisted, revealing a mysterious smile at Han Fei.
The God Statue smiled?
The weight on his back suddenly lifted, and the middle-aged man still wanted to see what the bug looked like, but when he turned around, he saw the fragnts of the God Statue scattered on the ground.
“Did the thing under the bed climb on my back?”
“You’ve been carrying it for quite a long ti, but you’re safe now, probably…” Han Fei put the hand that was hiding the Big Evil gently on the middle-aged man’s back, where he found so God Statue fragnts had embedded into the man’s flesh, “Bear with it, it might hurt a bit.”
He wielded the Rebirth Saber and dug out the last Fragnt, but before he could catch his breath, he suddenly noticed what looked like a human face in the wound on the middle-aged man’s back!
“What is this?”
Using the Rebirth Saber to cut open the wound, Han Fei saw a thumb-sized God Statue embedded in the middle-aged man’s flesh, and when he extracted the thumb-sized God Statue, he found an even smaller God Statue beneath it in the wound!
All the God Statues wore the sa eerie smile, set within the middle-aged man’s body, staring straight at Han Fei.
“Taunting ?
Taunting inside soone else’s body?” Han Fei didn’t know why the God Statues would target the middle-aged man—perhaps because he was the weakest or perhaps because he had the worst luck—but regardless of the reason, Han Fei would definitely not indulge such evil forces.
He had the middle-aged man cover his eyes, and Han Fei took out the Blood-colored Paperman and let it crawl into the wound too.
“However many you have inside, I’ll dig out just as many; after all, I’m not the one in pain.”
Originally embedded deeply in the middle-aged man’s body, the smile on the face of the God Statues froze.
Trained to be tough by “Perfect Life,” Han Fei wouldn’t hesitate, not even if the God Statues had entered his own body.
Controlling the Paperman, Han Fei extracted two more God Statues from within the middle-aged man.
The last God Statue was as thin as a chopstick, and the Little Ghost that was hiding within it was directly crushed by the Blood-colored Paperman.
Accompanied by a scream, a paper slip and a strand of hair fell from the Little Ghost’s body, as if it was ford by the Grudge Energy on the paper slip and the hair.
The Blood-colored Paperman handed the paper slip to Han Fei, which had a na written on the front and a thod of death on the back—if he was dismbered, would he die?
Han Fei first saw the thod of death, the words seething with intense Resentnt and the aura of a Spell; then he turned the slip over and saw the na on the other side.
The simple two characters made it impossible for him to look away anymore.
“Fu Sheng?”
Han Fei knew that mory Fragnts of the forr Building Chief were hidden in the Death Building, but he never expected to find a clue about the forr Building Chief in this manner.
“Do all the God Statues contain a paper slip guarded by a Ghost?” The first unlucky one that Han Fei killed, although also a Ghost in a God Statue, had its heart eaten by the Paperman and died, disintegrating into paper scraps and ash.
Even if it held a paper slip, it would be difficult for Han Fei to notice.
“Could this hair be Fu Sheng’s?
Was his consciousness divided into countless parts and then placed inside the God Statues?”
The Manager of the Death Building should be Butterfly; looking at it this way, it seed that the consciousness of the forr Building Chief remaining here had already fallen victim to Butterfly’s actions.
“I think I might understand what the most terrifying thing in room 4144 is.”
Han Fei looked at the text on the paper slip, the na, and the hair, both diums of the Curse, while the words on the slip were the Curse itself.
In the Death Building, countless Death Curses existed, and Han Fei was now highly suspicious that all those Death Curses might have been prepared for one person.
The forr Building Chief was at least forty years older than Han Fei and had owned the Black Box many years ago.
Although he had failed, even with his consciousness fragnted into countless pieces, he had still not left the ga, able to lay down his next move; just this fact alone made him imnsely formidable.
“If Butterfly really got hold of the forr Building Chief’s mory Fragnts, then I have one more reason to kill it.
The fact that I have the Black Box in my Brain Sea must not be known by a second person.”
