To et the supre entity protected by countless advanced chanisms of a future civilization, Elysia had no other choice but to arrive out of the blue using her usual mysterious thod.
She brought her team to the most sacred area. They erged out of thin air at the main server, alarming nobody, including the security chanism and the Aegis System itself. Thanks to her attainnt of space law, the spatial disturbance was non-existent and could never be detected by anyone.
It was a futuristic space server room, Aegis System’s central galactic command.
The server room stretched across an enormous, cylindrical chamber. The walls glowed faintly with pulsating blue and violet hues, reminiscent of a living nebula. In the center of the server room stood a colossal, rotating sphere of pure energy, Aegis’s galactic core processor. Its surface was covered in intricate, golden circuit patterns that shifted and morphed, processing countless data.
Tower-like server units ford a circular ring around the core processor. Thick, translucent cables with liquid-like energy flowed between the towers and the core processor.
The security was super tight, or more precisely, no one could access this main server room even using the highest level of access.
According to the divination, Aegis System was also the Emperor who had attained partial immortality. Unfortunately, in the history of the last thousand years, the said Emperor only made an appearance no more than once every four years.
All information related to the imperial family, especially the Emperor, was kept top-secret, known by almost nobody, and probably only accessible to a handful of highest-class nobles.
As soon as Elysia and her team arrived at the main server room, Elysia averted her gaze as she noticed an oddity.
’Why are the flows leading to the deeper area? Is this the secondary server, the backup to ensure the Aegis System’s safety?’ Elysia muttered in her mind, sharing her thoughts with her team mbers.
She went to this place because she followed the data flows, but apparently, more profound connections flowed from this server to the other place under the protected private channel. So, the said main server was just secondary. The true main server was located elsewhere in the deeper area.
’Master, this will do. We will scare it if we appear at its true main server.’ Xentia grabbed her master’s arm as she could guess her master’s intention.
They would gain an advantage and upper hand if they mysteriously appeared unexpectedly in the other party’s safe zone. She didn’t doubt that, but that would only apply to living beings, not artificial intelligence with a complex system connected to the entire vast network, especially one that covered the entire galaxy.
A desperate asure would be carried out if intruders suddenly appeared in the most important yet vulnerable place. She would also be terrified if undetected entities suddenly appeared in Xen System’s main server, so she could tell it.
’Alright. We’ll leave the rest to you two.’ Elysia nodded in understanding. She patted Xentia and Lyla’s shoulders and took a step back, standing next to Fortuna.
’Leave it to us, master.’ Lyla clenched her fists, blazing with confidence.
’I will not repeat my previous mistake.’ Xentia reassured her master with confidence.
Thanks to the divination, she could put her greed under control, considering that grave mistake was so shaful and sinful. Although it did not actually happen in the real tiline, she felt responsible and ashad of her future self’s failure and mistake.
Due to the divine magic, their current location was still unknown to the Aegis System’s central command, and Xentia took advantage of the situation to contact the Aegis System through an untrackable channel, requesting a diplomatic eting for the exchange of materials and technology.
She pressed the matter and finally received an agreent for a eting with an envoy at a promised location. Unfortunately, that was not what she wanted. She demanded the Aegis System’s direct involvent because the said envoy had no authority over anything, but her request was denied. The Aegis System even accused her of fraud and it would hunt her down imdiately.
[We’re Elysium from the higher universe. Your tech interests us. We wish for a mutual exchange and bilateral relations. We’re already here, in your secondary main server with our supre leader, and we expect your presence to et us, Aegis System, Aegis Emperor.]
Realizing it would only take a few seconds for Aegis System to detect her, Xentia revealed the truth, understanding that would force the other party to address her request for a eting with the true supre authority in the Aegis Intergalactic Empire.
Since Xentia and Lyla were ready, Elysia nodded to Fortuna. In that instant, Fortuna triggered a tiny non-harmful dinsional spark, arousing the Aegis System’s defense chanism to scan the entire server room.
"Intruders?"
A robotic voice echoed throughout the server room, alard to notice four entities mysteriously erge in the main server, undetected by anything.
"We’re Elysium requesting a diplomatic eting with you, the supre authority of Aegis. We co in peace, so we hope you will respond in kind." Xentia spread her arms wide, emphasizing her point despite knowing that hundreds of secret weapons were pointed at them, ready to obliterate them into particles.
"..." Aegis computed the countless possibilities, but the chance for the intruders to enter the central command server unnoticed was zero.
However, the said intruders were already here, alarming nothing. Not a single chanism could prevent them. No explanations could be found as to how the intruders could arrive unnoticed by anything. It was as if they just erged out of thin air, but without spatial distortion!
They possessed the capability to co to the most hidden and guarded area unnoticed. Therefore, they bore the power to cause great ruin.
However, the intruders said they ca from the higher universe, wishing for a peace exchange and bilateral relations. Considering the intruders could do the unexpected stunt and pose a huge threat if the problem was not handled properly, the said intruders got a status change and beca honorable guests imdiately. At least, it wouldn’t hurt to listen to what they had to offer.
In that instant, hundreds of secret weapons were imdiately recalled, thousands of guard chanisms retreated, and security over the central command server was imdiately tightened to an unprecedented level.
The honorable guests could even notice this server room was just a secondary main server, and that made Aegis extrely alert, aware these higher beings possessed an unknown, unimaginable power.
"Welco to the Aegis Empire, honorable guests. This place is unsuitable for a diplomatic eting. Please proceed to the zero-gravity maintenance area." A hologram of a beautiful secretary erged out of the blue, beckoning for the guests to follow her.
’Its tone and response changed 180 degrees. Aegis is so wary of us, and it decided to play it along while sizing us up.’ Fortuna reminded Elysia as they proceeded to the eting room.
’Yup, and that’s a natural thing. We terrified it, and it had no choice but to play along with us.’ Elysia replied with a wink.
Once they arrived at the zero-gravity maintenance area, a private eting room had been prepared with extra layers of security. Hundreds of the highest-grade artificial human warriors were placed around the area. Hundreds of camouflaged drones and thousands of robots stand guard outside the zero-gravity maintenance area. It was as if Aegis wanted the said guests to stay there forever.
They were literally surrounded by many soulless warriors and high-spec robots that could attack them at any mont.
’Keep calm. They won’t pull the first trigger.’ Elysia reminded Lyla because she could feel her cute dwarf sister felt a bit nervous.
"Phew..." Lyla took a deep breath, adjusting her mood. Her master was there with her, so she didn’t need to worry about anything.
"Please..." The hologram secretary stood aside before the door, ushering the guests in.
The thick steel door opened by itself, and Xentia entered without the slightest fear, anxiety, or hesitation.
"It’s been a long ti since soone was bold enough to provoke us with that kind of shocking stunt. However, you ca to the most critical area just to tell us about your exchange request... Esteed guests, we really can’t see through you." Aegis, now possessed a female warrior body, arrived to et the higher beings. He spoke with his usual aloofness and arrogance, but he toned it down a bit.
"Fufu, but nobody is capable enough to directly knock on your doorsteps. Pleased to et you, Emperor of Aegis. Can we talk in peace now?" Elysia greeted politely.
Although, she found it a bit weird because the Aegis Emperor used a female warrior body, but spoke with an authentic deep voice typical of an adult male.
"I thought you were a male emperor..." Fortuna blurted it out simply.
"Please pardon my current appearance. My vessel is currently in seclusion, and unable to be used for the ti being." Aegis gave his excuse, though, he was actually blaming the guests for coming so suddenly to him.
He couldn’t just show up with his emperor body, so, he used the strongest artificial human vessel in his possession to et the guests. His current body was capable of crushing a tier-6 space monster bare-handed and killing a tier-9 warrior with his fist, but it still didn’t feel like enough. He could feel his body tremble a bit, feeling pressured just to stand before the mysterious higher beings, especially the two ladies at the back.
"I will represent my supre master for this negotiation. Please be seated." Xentia sat down on the prepared seat, inviting the host to sit down as well.
"..." Aegis could tell the two ladies who had just sat down were rely proxies, and the two ladies who remained standing were the true higher beings.
"Tell us about your conditions and demands. What would you like to offer for it?" Aegis beca direct, feeling unhappy because he couldn’t control the situation.
