Chapter 663
The movie Jaws was actually not a typical horror movie, but rather a more edge-of-your-seat thriller.
“I don’t think it matters if we know that they’re not real. The story was so good that I couldn’t help but forget that they’re not real!” Abdul exclaid, and everyone seed to agree with him.
They took a break after the film was done, and Ishal had soone bring so snacks and drinks. After the snack break was done, Anton started the next movie, which was the science fiction film The Abyss. Anton saw that everyone was fully engaged because the film was different. It was set in sowhat modern tis on Earth, which was highly different from their world. Jaws was the sa, but most of the technology that was shown in Jaws was simple, unlike the technology in The Abyss.
“I feel like we're watching a window to another dinsion that was only supposed to be seen by Supre Wizards and above,” Kirk softly comnted, but everyone heard him.
Anton thought that Kirk’s comnt probably brought a much more titillating and thrilling sensation to everyone, which made the film better. After the movie was done, everyone clapped their appreciation. Anton smiled at himself, thinking that the custom of clapping after movies would probably beco a tradition in this world.
“Are you still planning to watch movies tomorrow?” Ishmael asked.
“I don’t know. I still plan to explore the city, so we don’t have a concrete schedule.”
“It doesn’t matter as long as you invite us,” the innkeeper said, and Anton simply nodded.
Tess asked Kirk and the others if they would also invite her and her parents to watch the next movies. Abdul looked at Anton, and he simply sighed and nodded subtly so that the girl would not notice.
“Of course, we’ll invite you!” Abdul promised.
It seed like the attention of Tess to Kirk had shifted to Abdul. It was logical since Tess and Abdul were the sa age, even though Kirk was only three years older than Tess. Abdul was also much more engaging compared to Kirk.
After Tess and her parents left, Anton commanded Kirk and the others to study the Basics of Magic books for a couple of hours. He told them that since he planned to go outside to explore the nearby places by himself and that ant that Kirk and the others would not have access to Anton’s ditation Aura.
When his apprentices slash employees were fully engaged in their studies, Anton left. The first place that he went to was one of the most comprehensive magic stores near the inn. He planned to purchase high-level spells that were geared toward support, like the Water Breathing spell that he asked the beach resort hostess to purchase for him.
He planned to purchase as many as he could and was even planning to spend the high-level mana stones that he took from the Rose Manor.
When he arrived at the magic store, he flagged one of the assistants and told the man his request. He ntioned that he planned to spend as much as he could and could even afford spells geared towards Supre Wizards and above.
The salesman delicately asked Anton’s rank and was surprised when he said that it was Supre Wizard and was even willing to be asured by a rank stone. The salesperson said that there was no need for that, but the only spells available were up to high-level rank.
“No worries. As long as you bring
all the spellbooks that contain utility spells like the Light spells, Water Breathing spell, Prestidigitation, and more,” Anton said.
Anton did not plan to morize all of the spells he would purchase imdiately, but would leave them in his inventory. When he discovered that he could morize spells inside his Diablo II system, that ant that he could use the spell anyti he wanted, if he needed them at a specific ti, just like what happened with the Water Breathing spell.
The salesman led him into a booth, and he sat waiting on a comfortable bench. After a few minutes, the salesman returned with a list of spells and their description. Anton spent an hour perusing the list of spells, and once he was done, he told the salesman the spells he planned to purchase, which were more than a hundred.
Anton had to show that he was capable of paying for them by showing the salesman his high-level mana stones. The salesman excitedly left and returned after a few minutes, followed by a high-level rank wizard and several n carrying spellbooks. The wizard introduced himself as one of the managers of the shop, but Anton’s focus was on the spellbooks. He checked the spellbooks and was satisfied. He paid for everything using his high-level mana stones totaling to six high-level mana stones.
Anton stored everything in his inventory and was satisfied that the spellbook's na and description were available when he hovered the pointer over one of them. That ant that it would be easy for him to retrieve the specific spellbook he wanted to morize. He saw that the salesman, who probably earned a huge commission, and the manager were ecstatic at the amount of spellbooks Anton had purchased.
After that, Anton returned to his suite. He found Kirk, sono, Omar, and Abdul still studying the Basics of Magic book. He told them that it was ti for spell morization, so they imdiately stopped studying the Basics of Magic book and switched to morizing their spellbooks. Once they had morized a spell, they would imdiately cast it to the Mirror Power Bank and start morizing their spellbooks again.
Of course, Anton made sure that the four were part of his party system and that his ditation Aura was active.
Anton knew that the four were excited to reach the rank that would allow them to start morizing their third novice spells, since they wanted to start morizing the Fire Bolt spell. He then went to his room to start hunting for charms and materials for creating powerful gears until evening arrived, then they went outside the inn to eat and returned for Kirk and the others to start morizing again.
Anton went to his room and started watching so ani that was recomnded by a lot of ani fans until he fell asleep.
The next day, Kirk, sono, Omar, and Abdul brought Anton to a casino. Anton found it a little weird that there were still casinos in this world since everything could be controlled by magic, and it would be easy enough to cheat.
When they arrived there, he now understood how the casino would function. Every table, every setup was under that gave off a powerful wizard, and there was an item above that would light up if magic was being used on a specific table.
According to the wizard who was guiding them, every wizard who was watching over the gambling events was highly trained to detect magic. Coupled with the hovering detect magic item, it would not be easy to cheat using magic.
“What about those adventurers geared toward physical skills like warriors and rogues?” Anton asked.
“As long as the skills or actions that were used were above the capabilities of an ordinary human, the magic item would detect it,” the wizard said.
They only stayed for a couple of hours since Anton was not fond of gambling. Maybe because he knew that his luck on such things was extrely low since every bet that he had made had lost.
“I don’t like this place. Let’s go sowhere else,” Anton told Kirk, so they left the casino.
