Chapter 5: Chapter 5: My Son Has Innate Potential
The six people’s eyes brightened; Yan Botao finally made a decision!
They had no choice either. Yan Yushi was soone they watched grow up and was quite fond of, but Yan Yushi could never enter the path of cultivation.
Over the years, the Yan family utilized a large amount of resources to nurture him, but it was all in vain.
They could only select another person from the Yan family.
Yan Botao had three adopted sons who were raised from a young age and whose strength had already reached the Postnatal Peak.
They were the top choice for the new young Clan Leader.
Between Yan Yushi and the Yan family, they could only choose the Yan family.
Along the way, Yan Botao felt a heavy heart. He was well aware of how much effort Yan Yushi had put in; he had witnessed it all.
He knew how much criticism Yan Yushi endured over the years due to his identity as the young Clan Leader.
But he never gave up. Unexpectedly, the one who had to give up now was himself, the father.
However, just as Yan Botao and the others arrived outside Yan Yushi’s small courtyard, the seven of them suddenly turned pale.
An astonishing presence erupted from within Yan Yushi’s courtyard!
A fierce wind rose abruptly, blowing open the courtyard door. At the sa ti, a tiger’s roar reverberated through the air, a sound like a mighty bell that made their clothes flutter.
"This is..." The faces of a few people were extrely shocked.
"It’s Tiger Intent." Yan Botao couldn’t help but laugh heartily, the gloom in his eyes vanished, and he looked forward with excitent: "It’s Yu Shi; he has attained enlightennt!"
"The montum is so astounding, this Tiger Intent is enough to propel Yu Shi to the Postnatal Peak!" another elder said with excitent.
Postnatal Peak.
Enough to support the Yan family.
But before they could recover from this excitent, a huge tiger shadow appeared in the void!
The tiger shadow lay like a mountain between heaven and earth, its half-closed eyes slowly opening, and the aura of a beast king swept across the eight directions, making everyone’s hearts tremble!
For a mont, the seven people were dumbfounded.
They could hardly believe what they saw.
The tiger’s presence was overwhelming.
They could even see every single whisker of the tiger, and the overpowering aura made the hair on their bodies stand on end as if they were prey under the gaze of a fierce beast, their blood seemingly about to freeze.
The pressure was truly imnse!
"Manifestation of Intent..." The elders were utterly dumbfounded, too shocked by the scene before them to even close their jaws.
Yan Botao was the sa.
Manifestation of Intent, what it represented, was sothing they were all very familiar with.
This is a sign of potentially stepping into the Innate realm!
At this mont, their minds were utterly confused.
Just whose painting did Yan Yushi comprehend?
To actually perceive the path to Innate?
The Yan family, despite being a large local family, only had one ancestor who stepped into the Innate realm; since then, no one else from the Yan family has entered the Innate realm.
Now, Yan Yushi, who could never cultivate, actually has the potential for Innate?
How could they dare to believe it?
This not only required Yan Yushi to have such talent, but more importantly, the painting he comprehended upon entering the path requires extrely high standards. Does the Yan family truly have such a painting capable of entering Innate?
What exactly is going on?
"My son Yu Shi has the potential for Innate!" At this mont, Yan Botao was extrely excited, and with this developnt, who else could be the future Clan Leader of the Yan family?
Who would dare have any objections?
The future Yan Yushi could rival the existence of the family ancestor!
And just at that mont, the huge tiger shadow in the sky began to slowly retract, transforming into a mass of energy and shrinking back into the room.
Simultaneously, the door opened, and Yan Yushi walked out from inside!
Although Yan Yushi had yet to develop any cultivation, the Tiger Intent surrounding him hadn’t subsided, and his clothes moved with no breeze. More importantly, hovering above Yan Yushi’s head was a wooden carving exuding a murderous aura!
It made people feel an indescribable sense of oppression, as if facing a real fierce tiger.
"What is that thing!"
Everyone stared at the wooden carving floating above his head, all showing expressions of astonishnt. At this mont, Yan Yushi had just entered the path, shouldn’t a painting accompany him?
Why is it an odd thing?
"Father, uncles." Yan Yushi stepped forward with a respectful bow, but the excitent on his face was hard to conceal.
"Yu Shi, did you enter the path?" Even though Yan Botao had seen it, he couldn’t help but ask with excitent.
"I didn’t fail!" Yan Yushi’s tone was full of excitent.
However, at this mont, everyone’s eyes were on that wooden carving.
What is it?
Why does the aura it emits seem stronger than many top-quality paintings?
Even Yan Botao fixed his gaze on the wooden carving.
Seeming both real and illusory, it felt extrely extraordinary!
This precious item, where did Yan Yushi get it from?
"Yu Shi, where did you get this thing?" A red-robed elder stepped forward, looking at the wooden carving with seriousness.
"This..." Yan Yushi reached out his hand, and the wooden carving fell directly into his palm. Then he recounted the events of today to everyone.
"Li Changqing from the Evergreen Painting Workshop?" The couple of people, upon hearing the na, all displayed expressions of astonishnt.
"Rumor has it that Li Changqing was just an unsuccessful painter; where did he acquire such a treasure? Is this thing he calls a wooden carving?" An elder examined the wooden carving, and to their amazent, they found this thing even more astonishing than the feeling brought by paintings.
"Could it be that Li Changqing is a hidden expert?" Yan Botao glanced at everyone.
They looked at each other but couldn’t say for sure.
Because they had never seen such a thing before, its artistry was not sothing an ordinary person could create.
"Yu Shi, you were a bit reckless today." Yan Botao looked at Yan Yushi.
"Indeed, you left 5,000 taels and took the thing ho." Another elder said: "Such a treasure can help you break through to the Innate realm. Five thousand taels? You couldn’t even buy a painting that can enter the Postnatal realm."
"If this thing is truly made by Li Changqing..." Yan Botao looked at Yan Yushi solemnly: "Tomorrow, accompany your father to apologize, and also let Li Changqing see the Yan family’s attitude, and at the sa ti, probe him slightly."
"Yes." Yan Yushi also felt that he indeed had been reckless today.
The following morning.
After waking up, Li Changqing made a bowl of noodles for himself, then found a sunny spot to sit down, holding a piece of wood to start a new carving.
The only wooden carving in the shop had been bought by Yan Yushi, and now he needed to create so new stock.
As for the previous shabby paintings that were hung, Li Changqing had just pulled them down and stored them away; those paintings were indeed bad enough to affect one’s mood.
He was just thinking about carving a roc bird today, and as just a rough form erged, he heard footsteps coming from afar.
He looked up and saw the Yan family people arriving.
"Sir, we et again." Yan Yushi hurriedly ca forward respectfully with a bow.
If it weren’t for Li Changqing, how could he have entered the path?
So this respect was genuine!
"I knew you would co today." Li Changqing smiled and glanced at the few people behind Yan Botao, then stood up and walked into the shop, "Co on in."
Yan Botao and the others exchanged glances, did Li Changqing already know they were coming?
Truly unfathomable!
