After introducing everyone to each other, they ordered their food.
Soon, the food arrived.
Everyone ate while chatting; Liu Yung was purely accompanying Luo Xiyun and didn’t talk much. Old Tang was a bit tense in front of his superior and spoke very little. It was mainly three of them chatting, Chen Xu included.
When they had almost finished eating, Chen Xu excused himself to go to the restroom and moved towards the counter to pay the bill.

Chen Chao looked sowhat overwheld, mainly because he was unclear about the situation and subconsciously glanced at Chen Xu.
At the table, everyone’s expressions varied; Liu Yung wore a cold smile, Old Tang looked worried, and Xu Xiaoxiao appeared astonished, her eyes moving back and forth among the group.
Chen Xu racked his brains, thinking about how to smooth things over. He heard Luo Xiyun’s tone soften and say, “So, the person you ntioned just now was his ex-girlfriend, right?”
“Yes, exactly.” Chen Chao wiped so non-existent cold sweat and said, “Actually, we haven’t seen each other in a long ti and don’t really keep in touch. I truly didn’t know… look, my friend is still waiting for over there, I should go.”

Luo Xiyun gave him a look, put on her sunglasses, and without a word, got into the car with Liu Yung and drove away.
