Chapter 88: Saving
Bai Ran did not have ti to think. She only felt that she was about to fall asleep the next second.
She dialed a number in a daze and waited for the call with her last bit of consciousness.
“Hello?”
The call was finally picked up.
Bai Ran smiled with difficulty. Just as she was about to speak, her body relaxed and she fainted.
“Hello? Why aren’t you talking? You called in the middle of the night because you missed ?” Chen Chen’s voice was a little excited. Bai Ran rarely called him, let alone in the middle of the night.
He heard that nights were emotional monts for humans?
Was she preparing to release herself?
The more Chen Chen thought about it, the happier he beca. He could not stop the smile on his face, but Bai Ran still did not speak.
“Oh, just say it if you miss !” Chen Chen encouraged.
There was still no response.
Chen Chen finally felt that sothing was wrong.
“Bai Ran?” Chen Chen called her na.
“Tian Tian? Are you there? Did sothing happen to you?” Chen Chen’s voice beca anxious.
There was still no response.
“No! Sothing must have happened!”
Chen Chen finally confird it. He imdiately got out of bed, grabbed a random shirt, and ran to the garage downstairs.
He still did not know what had happened to Bai Ran. He did not even know if she was at ho!
In the few seconds after starting the car, Chen Chen decided to go to her house to take a look.
When he arrived at Bai Ran’s house, Chen Chen saw that the lock on the door had been broken. The gaps at the door were filled with cloth. Chen Chen did not care about anything and kicked the door open.
As soon as the door opened, the sll of strong natural gas filled the air.
Chen Chen raised an arm to cover his mouth and nose. Using the light of his phone, he ran to every window and opened them.
After quickly doing all of this, Chen Chen rushed to Bai Ran’s bed and checked her mouth and nose. He felt that her breathing was almost impossible to detect!
Chen Chen picked Bai Ran up and rushed downstairs.
Looking at Bai Ran’s hand hanging in his arms and her body not moving at all, Chen Chen felt deep despair. He shouted, “Tian Tian! Hang in there!”
Chen Chen placed Bai Ran into the backseat and stepped on the accelerator to the end before leaving.
When Bai Ran opened her eyes again, it was already morning. What greeted her eyes was a flash of white.
“You’re awake! You’re finally awake!” Chen Chen was overjoyed. He grabbed Bai Ran’s hand and held it tightly to his face.
At this mont, he finally felt at ease.
“Ah, it hurts. My hand hurts!” Bai Ran frowned in pain. She felt like her bones were about to be crushed.
“Ah, I’m sorry. I’m too happy!” Chen Chen smiled awkwardly and let go of Bai Ran’s hand.
“Why am I in the hospital?” Bai Ran widened her eyes hard, feeling a little dizzy.
“You still dare to say that?! You don’t even know about the gas leak! Do you know that you almost lost your life today?!” Chen Chen said speechlessly.
With that, Bai Ran seed to have so mories.
“I didn’t open it. I didn’t turn on the fire yesterday,” Bai Ran replied.
“I know, but you slept too well! You don’t even know that soone entered your house. Think about it. Who wants to hurt you?” Chen Chen asked again.
She tried hard to rember and then said with a grave expression, “Could it be them? Just because I didn’t agree to their request? Because they couldn’t get , they would destroy ?”
“Who are they?” When Chen Chen heard this, he ca over and his face turned cold.
Bai Ran did not answer and asked, “You guarded here for the entire night?”
“What else? If anything happens to you, will Grandma and the others let enter the house again?” Chen Chen pursed his lips.
Was it just for Grandma and the others?
Bai Ran did not believe it, but she had to.
If she believed him, she could also find a reason to leave him.
“Don’t change the topic. Tell , who are they?” Chen Chen continued to ask.
Bai Ran turned to look at Chen Chen and said, “This has nothing to do with you.”
