Chapter 42: World of Three
“I’m here to look for my wife. What does this have to do with you, Mr. Jiang?” Chen Chen raised his eyebrows and replied in the sa tone.
Seeing that the two of them were about to beco hostile, Bai Ran hurriedly said, “Young Master Chen, I’ve found soone to be with. Isn’t that what you wanted? Let introduce you again. This is my boyfriend, Jiang Yun. Now that I’ve found him, you don’t have to care about anymore, right?”
“You’re really straightforward.” Hearing this, Chen Chen slamd his hand against the car window. “Where are you guys going now?”
“What? Do you want to co with us, Mr. Chen?” Jiang Yun narrowed his eyes, feeling a little wary.
However, the next second, Chen Chen really opened the car door and sat in the backseat.
Bai Ran and Jiang Yun turned their heads in unison, their eyes filled with surprise.
“Mr. Chen, what do you an?” Jiang Yun’s tone was unpleasant.
“You said so. Let’s go together.” Chen Chen suddenly smiled shalessly, but what he saw was Bai Ran’s helpless face.
“Young Master Chen, what are you trying to do? Get out of the car quickly.” Bai Ran sighed.
“It’s not like you guys are going to do anything shaful. Why can’t I follow you? Unless you…” Chen Chen tilted his head, his eyes filled with aning.
In order to prevent Chen Chen from thinking too much, Bai Ran could only interrupt. “Forget it. Then follow us!”
With that, she turned back and motioned for Jiang Yun to drive.
“Then let’s go watch a movie.” Seeing this, Jiang Yun could only compromise.
Their good ti together was ruined just like that.
If they went out to eat, Chen Chen would cause a lot of trouble. Furthermore, the cinema needed silence. No matter how willful he was, he had to be wary of the people around him.
The car moved forward slowly. The three of them were silent as an awkward atmosphere filled the car.
At this mont, Chen Chen’s phone rang.
Looking at the caller ID, Chen Chen subconsciously wanted to reject the call. He was about to touch the reject button when his fingers stopped and he picked up the call.
“Can you co and eat with today?” Hu Wan’s delicate voice ca through the phone.
Chen Chen glanced at Bai Ran and replied softly, “I’m a little busy today. I’ll head over later.”
With that, he hung up imdiately, as if he was afraid that the two people in front would expose him.
“Are you just busy dating your ex-wife and her current boyfriend?” Jiang Yun mocked.
However, Bai Ran did not say anything. She looked a little lonely.
She knew that it was Hu Wan.
What was he trying to do? He was unwilling to leave either side behind and was unwilling to treat either side well.
In the ward, Hu Wan, who had been hung up before she could respond, angrily threw her phone to the end of the bed. She did not look weak at all.
“Xiao Wan, is he not coming over again today?” Hu Wan’s mother sat at the head of the bed and put down the apple she had just peeled.
“Yes, he’s very busy with work. It’s normal that he doesn’t co,” Hu Wan replied, trying to calm her breathing.
“Is that so? You were just sent to the ergency room for Atropos yesterday, and he’s already ignoring you today? Do you think he really cares about you?” Hu Wan’s mother asked.
“Mom, Chen Chen treats very well usually. It’s understandable that he can’t take care of when he’s busy with work.” Hu Wan held the blanket tightly with both hands and tried her best to explain.
“Then what are you angry about? I believe you understand so things yourself.” Hu Wan’s mother grabbed Hu Wan’s hand. “All these years, he has refrained from touching you. He said he respected you as a patient but is that really the case?”
Hu Wan retracted her hand and said decisively, “Of course. Anyway, the outco now is that Chen Chen and I are getting married. He will really be mine soon!”
“Are you sure? He hasn’t even gotten a divorce yet,” Hu Wan’s mother said seriously.
“He’ll definitely get a divorce. Even if he doesn’t, I’ll still find a way to make him get a divorce.” Hu Wan clenched her fists. “He has been with all these years. There’s no one else. Even his nominal wife was chased overseas by him. She could only co back because her mom was dying. Therefore, I believe he will accompany until the end.”
“Xiao Wan, you’re too naive.” Hu Wan’s mother did not give her daughter any face. Seeing her daughter continue like this, she might as well give up earlier.
“Besides, if he knew about that…” At this point, she hesitated to continue.
Hu Wan’s expression changed slightly and her tone turned cold. “Mom, don’t say things that you shouldn’t. You’ll only make things difficult for your only daughter.”
“You should hurry back. Don’t worry about .” As Hu Wan spoke, she lay down and covered her head with the blanket in frustration. She did not want to hear anything else.
“Sigh…” Hu Wan’s mother sighed deeply.
