Chapter 146: Chapter 111 You Can Only Like My Mom

“You get down, I want to ask you sothing.”

“Speak.” He still maintained his posture.

“Let go.”

“Not until you feed first.”

Su Nian blurted out imdiately, and her look was no longer the feigned charm of just monts ago, but now carried an air of inquiry and interrogation, “Where is Ye Jiayao?”

On hearing this na, Shen Hanxiu was taken aback, not because the na was particularly significant, but because Su Nian suddenly brought up soone so insignificant to him that he was caught off guard.

And his montary stupefaction read differently in Su Nian’s eyes.

“Why are you asking about her all of a sudden?”

Su Nian pushed him away, sat up, and his evasive answer only added to her confusion; she continued to press, “Where is she?”

Shen Hanxiu found it sowhat inexplicable and answered indifferently, “How would I know.”

Su Nian, seeing his carefree attitude, felt even more suspicious. He had no reason not to have any contact with Ye Jiayao; his denial was so emphatic that he was perhaps trying to protect that woman.

“You don’t know?”

“Su Nian, are you interrogating a prisoner? How many years has it been, what ancient vinegar are you drinking?”

Su Nian: “…”

Back then, she indeed got quite jealous over Ye Jiayao.

Seeing Shen Hanxiu’s calm appearance, Su Nian had no clear answer in her heart. She just wanted to know what exactly had happened back then, but if Shen Hanxiu was deliberately hiding sothing, she wouldn’t be able to get anything out of him.

“I think your Aunt is quite nice.” In the midst of silence, he suddenly said this.

Su Nian gave him a look, “Are you the type to only go for won who’ve had children?”

Shen Hanxiu was at a loss for words, not knowing how she could twist his words so grossly.

“I an, she’s more sensible than you are, she suggested that we should remarry soon, I think it’s not a bad idea.”

Su Nian turned and got out of bed, “You can go back.”

His expression suddenly beca serious, taking two steps down from the bed to block her, “Su Nian, did you truly ever love ?”

Su Nian took a deep breath, averted her gaze to the floor, avoiding the question, “Just go.”

“You’re hiding sothing from ,” he stated.

Su Nian pushed away his hands, and by asking such a question, was he trying to trap her? To probe whether she knew about the little-known liaison between him and Ye Jiayao!

“Let clarify then, there’s no possibility of us remarrying.”

His expression gradually turned cold, it was obvious he was getting angry.

Hearing his barely audible sigh, which seed to carry a hint of helplessness, the last ti he brought up that child, she lost control; this ti he was afraid to bring it up again, only vaguely aware that her firm stance on not remarrying had sothing to do with that child.

Why did she suddenly bring up Ye Jiayao? What exactly is she hiding from him?

It seems that simply insisting on remarriage was not the solution; to resolve the issue, he thought, it was necessary to dig out the knot in her heart. If she wouldn’t speak, he would find out himself.

Seeing that Shen Hanxiu remained silent, Su Nian didn’t speak any further either, and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

Shen Hanxiu glanced towards the bathroom door, then went outside and took out his mobile phone from his coat to make a call, “Check on Ye Jiayao’s whereabouts.”

After Su Nian vanished years ago, he only knew that Ye Jiayao was taken away by Tang Shaosheng; he never inquired about Ye Jiayao’s affairs after that. He knew Ye Jiayao’s existence was a thorn in Su Nian’s heart.

Thinking of the child soon to be born, to make Su Nian feel secure, he specifically went to clarify things with Ye Jiayao, but he never expected things to end up as they were today.

After her shower, Su Nian ca out and thought Shen Hanxiu had left since the bedroom was empty. Just as she was about to turn around and check the living room, she bumped into a ‘wall of flesh,’ and a hand wrapped around her waist, his voice ca by her ear, “Let’s sleep.”

Shen Hanxiu naturally wrapped his arms around her, closing the bedroom door behind him, Su Nian then realized, “I’ll sleep outside.”

“You should know not to defy when I’m not in a good mood,” he said and flung Su Nian none too gently onto the bed.

“This is my house!”

“Click—” The room light was turned off by him, and in the darkness, one could still sense his intense gaze settling upon her: “This is the ho of my woman.”

Su Nian: “…” Watching him stride over and [climb] [onto] [the][bed] with an air of ownership, Su Nian quickly pulled up the blanket.

“I’m used to sleeping nude.”

“…!!” By the ti Su Nian reacted, he was already standing in front of her, undoing his bathrobe.

Hurriedly turning her back, she wrapped herself in the quilt trying to sneak away, but as soon as her feet touched the ground, she felt the world spinning along with the quilt.

He tore the quilt off her body while climbing inside it, still saying, “I heard sleeping naked is good for [breast] enhancent, you could give it a try.”

“You… You, just enhance your own!”

Watching the woman who had just been insisting she would never remarry him now becoming so shy she couldn’t speak clearly, his normally frosty face finally softened.

“Don’t lie on the quilt.” While speaking, he had already tugged the quilt away with his strength, pulling it so hard that Su Nian was flipped over, now facing him.

Disregarding her wide-eyed stare, he pulled her into his embrace, adjusted the quilt, found a comfortable position, and sighed contentedly.

“Shen Hanxiu!”

He still had his eyes closed, seizing her hand that was pressed against his chest: “Don’t play with fire, just sleep.”

Su Nian’s face flushed, her body stiffening, daring not to move; she could feel that he indeed was naked.

Shen Hanxiu seed calm, but in truth, both body and soul were ablaze. After Su Nian had taken a bath, she only wore a thin strappy nightgown, the exposed skin of her legs entwined with his, stirring up desire.

After he said that, she beca much more well-behaved, but he could distinctly feel her discomfort.

That ti on a business trip, although they slept on the sa bed, she was not conscious then, and only now did he realize how torturous it was.

n are creatures that think with their lower half, she had already sensed sothing.

Scared, she didn’t dare to even breathe heavily, not to ntion move.

Waiting quietly, thinking that once he fell into a deep sleep, she would leave.

But ultimately, she couldn’t outlast the long night and fell asleep before him.

Feeling her stiff body completely relax, Shen Hanxiu then lowered his head to look at the person in his arms, her even breathing against his body making the night feel tender.

He had never thought a woman could have so much allure, to captivate a man, until he t her, where ti brought not satiety but deeper dependence.

Holding her allowed him to sleep peacefully, a sense of security he had not felt in a long ti.

The next day, Su Nian sat up in a panic from the bed, finding herself alone on it. Just as she wondered if sharing a bed with that man last night was a dream or reality, the bedroom door opened.

“Mom, you’re going to be late for work again!” Su Zhen, already neatly dressed, sat in Shen Hanxiu’s arms, blowing a whistle at Su Nian.

Only then did Su Nian co to her senses, rembering that today was Monday.

Rushed, she grabbed a set of work clothes and dashed into the bathroom, from where her voice could be heard asking, “Baby, Mommy doesn’t have ti to make breakfast, is it okay to go out for so dumplings again?”

Su Zhen muttered, “It’s not okay, what can I do, hurry up and co out. What if Uncle Shen doesn’t want you anymore because you’re so lazy?”

She said it as if worried Uncle Shen would give a poor review of her own mom, and imdiately turned back to Shen Hanxiu, “Uncle Shen, although my mom can be a bit silly sotis, she’s cute, right?”

Shen Hanxiu raised an eyebrow and nodded, “Hmm, stupidly cute.”

Su Zhen’s eyes imdiately curled up, her dark pupils resembling her mom’s; she was undeniably cute.

She scooted closer to whisper into his ear, “Uncle, did you hold my mom’s hand last night while sleeping?”

“Hmm…”

“Then you can only like my mom, no matter how silly and lazy she is, you can’t hold anyone else’s hand to sleep.”

“Okay.”

Having secured her smart, tall, and rich Uncle Shen for her mother, Su Zhen envisioned a radiant future for her mom, hugging Shen Hanxiu’s neck with a smile like a little fox.

On Monday, life returned to the usual work routine, but the office was oddly quiet today; Wei Lan was exceptionally silent.

There had been no word from her all weekend, so Su Nian guessed, “What’s wrong? Did you argue with your significant other?”

“It’s not that, Sister Niannian, I…” Wei Lan hesitated for a long ti, her face slowly turning red, and she asked quietly, “Sister Niannian, Jing Zan and I have been married for several months now, but… he hasn’t touched even once. Aren’t n usually interested in that sort of thing? Is this… abnormal?”

Su Nian bluntly asked, “Do you suspect he has soone else?”

Wei Lan nodded, looking anxious, “I’m not usually suspicious, but we’ve always been lukewarm, and he’s never overstepped; we even live apart…”

Su Nian was silent for a mont, recalling how her marriage to Shen Hanxiu started in the sa way, lukewarm because they were still strangers then, “Didn’t you both marry without really knowing each other? Maybe he’s waiting for you to adapt?”

Shen Hanxiu had started out the sa, never overstepping, behaving like a gentleman.

“But I always feel sothing’s off; several tis when we ate together, he would leave after receiving a phone call, and I feel… like he doesn’t really like .”

“His nature is just cool and distant, don’t overthink it, Lanlan. Perhaps he just doesn’t know how to express himself, being sowhat slow in terms of emotions. And coincidentally, you’re both quite shy. Don’t be in a rush, you’re married now, so work on this relationship, don’t end up like . Love requires effort from both sides, you could try taking so initiative.”

Wei Lan thought to herself; Jing Zan was indeed reserved in school. Perhaps she was overthinking. Since they were married now, they should trust each other.

Considering Ziyan was still in the hospital, Su Nian and Wei Lan decided to bring lunch to the hospital at noon. Unexpectedly, Tang Shaosheng was also there…
