Ye Qilan took the bowl and said to Su Hongxing, "Let feed her instead. You go rest for a bit."

Qiao Qiao finished breakfast, pulled Su Hongxing aside, and asked, "Can you ask Lin Zhi if she has released Ye Xiandong yet?"
Su Hongxing was stunned. "Ye Xiandong hasn’t returned ho yet?"
"I went to his villa yesterday on purpose. The servant said he hasn’t returned. I tried calling his phone, but no one answered. So I was wondering—should you ask Lin Zhi again?" Qiao Qiao replied.
Su Hongxing nodded, stepped aside, and called Lin Zhi, getting straight to the point. "You said you’d release Ye Xiandong. Why hasn’t he co back yet?"
Lin Zhi froze for a mont before responding, "After we talked that day, I ordered my people to release him. There’s no need for to lie about sothing like this."
"Are you certain your people have already released Ye Xiandong?" Su Hongxing pressed further.
"I’m very certain—he’s been released," Lin Zhi replied emphatically.
Knowing she wouldn’t get anything useful if she kept asking, Su Hongxing hung up the phone. She turned to Qiao Qiao. "You probably heard her—she said Ye Xiandong was released. But there’s still no news about him. In that case..." Could sothing unexpected have happened?
"Is it possible Lin Zhi is lying?" Qiao Qiao mused aloud.
Ye Xiandong was supposedly released by Lin Zhi, so logically, he would have returned to the Ye Family. But there’s been no news from the Ye Family so far. Ye Lao is currently in the hospital. If Ye Xiandong had returned, Ye Lao would certainly be overjoyed.
But the reality is quite the opposite. There’s been no response from the Ye Family, which suggests Ye Xiandong is still considered a missing person.
"She has no reason to lie about sothing like this. Honestly, I trust her. Besides, keeping Ye Xiandong doesn’t benefit her at all anymore," Su Hongxing murmured distractedly. "Madam, soone delivered a package. Please sign for it," the servant handed the box to Su Hongxing.
"Who would send a package?" Su Hongxing couldn’t make sense of it.
She had few friends and had largely lost touch with her classmates. She was closest to Qiao Qiao—who else would send her a package?
"I’ll help you open it," Qiao Qiao offered, equally intrigued.
She deftly tore open the package. Seeing the blossoming apricot flowers inside the box, she turned to Su Hongxing. "Other than Ye Qilan, does anyone else have the habit of sending you apricot flowers?"
To her recollection, only Ye Qilan had ever sent Su Hongxing apricot flowers.
Su Hongxing’s gaze froze, equally confused. The apricot flowers were placed in a clear glass vase. Though delivered by courier, they were ticulously protected, evidently with great care.
As Su Hongxing and Qiao Qiao exchanged puzzled glances, Ye Qilan approached, holding Little Pudding’s hand, and asked, "Who sent the package?"
Catching sight of the apricot flowers in Su Hongxing’s hands, his brows furrowed slightly. "Who sent you flowers?"
"I don’t know. There’s no na, no card. I have no idea who sent them," Su Hongxing replied, equally perplexed.
What’s more, the flowers were sent to Qingmu Garden. It’s worth noting that Qingmu Garden already has a vast Apricot Forest and a greenhouse garden, where apricot flowers bloom all year round.
Given that, why would soone send her flowers—especially apricot flowers?
"Flowers from a stranger—throw them away. Who knows if they’re laced with poison?"
