Bo Fengyin, the Little Dragon, stared at the ancient words on the wall, distinguishing each character before reading aloud, "I, Si Mingjing, love Mo Yinhe the most, more than anything. We shall be as mandarin ducks playing in the water, for all eternity."

Mo Yinhe had been wandering aimlessly outside the Dragon Pond. When he heard his son’s adorably cool words, he snapped back to reality. He turned to gaze at his lovely wife in the pool, blinking his deep-set eyes. That look was filled with tender affection, silently conveying his amorous feelings.

Si Mingjing’s cheeks flushed red as she explained, "It wasn’t who said that; it’s what’s written on the wall."

Mo Yinhe raised an eyebrow, paying no heed to Si Mingjing’s explanation. Tall and graceful, he jumped into the Dragon Pond and walked towards the wall. Eyeing the inscribed words cunningly, he then asked his son, "Read it again."

Bo Fengyin, the Little Dragon, repeated the words, "I, Si Mingjing, love Mo Yinhe the most, more than anything. We shall be as mandarin ducks playing in the water, for all eternity."

A smile Mo Yinhe couldn’t suppress curled his mischievous lips. He turned to his wife and said, "Baby, so you wanted to play mandarin ducks with here?"

With the children present, Si Mingjing kicked him and coughed lightly. "Behave yourself. I already told you, it wasn’t !"

"That’s debatable." Mo Yinhe, amused, stroked his chin thoughtfully, speaking with deep aning, "Perhaps it was the you from ten thousand years ago, leaving a love confession for all ti. Mingjing, I heard it."

He laughed heartily, imasurably pleased. It was the most beautiful of love declarations, etched onto an everlasting stone wall, having survived the vicissitudes of ti to land upon his heart. And in his heart, it blood profusely, so brilliantly radiant.

Si Mingjing’s phoenix eyes glinted playfully, and she actually considered the possibility. Could it be that this temple was the site of our elopent?

She felt shy and awkward, yet also found it wonderful. If that were really the case, it seed it would have a special charm of its own.

Bo Fengyin, the Little Dragon, swayed his clever little head and declared, "ROAR, ROAR, I know now! Dad, the very handso man in that mural must be you, and Mom is the little dragon maiden in the painting."

Mo Yinhe stretched out his long arm and pulled the contemplative Si Mingjing into his embrace. He lowered his head, his thumb stroking her chin, a playful glint in his touch, as he teased in a magnetic, thrilling voice, "Baby, we’re back in our old nest, huh? Shall we have our mandarin duck frolic in the water now?"

Si Mingjing laughed and swatted his hand away. "I don’t want to." She fled from his embrace, lest his primal nature awaken.

But just as she had taken a single step away, Mo Yinhe pulled her back into his arms. He was in such high spirits; how could he resist doing sothing, regardless of the children being present? He leaned down and kissed her lips.

Red lips, seductively red lips.

Mo Yinhe tasted them but stopped short, his forehead pressed against hers, chuckling softly.

Si Mingjing was made uncomfortable by his laughter. She slightly lifted her eyes, intending to break the intimate atmosphere.

Suddenly, Mo Yinhe held her face with both hands, sealing her lips with his once more. This ti, it was not a re tasting but a deep exploration.

Bo Fengyin and Ye Nianbai, the two little dragon cubs, swiftly turned their backs. "No peeking, oh~~~"

Later, Si Mingjing and Mo Yinhe sat by the Dragon Pond, watching their children play in the water. The Dragon Pond was still the sa, yet in the hearts of Si Mingjing and Mo Yinhe, it now held a different significance. It felt as if it had been elevated in an instant.

And with their son’s storytelling talent, the stories he had previously created took on new aning. Side by side, they sat at the edge of the Dragon Pond, reminiscing about the stories Little Fengyin had told while looking at the murals. They filled in the blanks in their minds, nurturing a silent warmth and sweetness.

Or perhaps, this was the very place where they had truly belonged.

There’s a saying, "If only life could always be like the first eting." They, however, had weathered ten thousand years, yet their hearts remained as close as when they first t. Now, they were married with children, a happy family, no longer needing to elope to a cave.

The more Si Mingjing thought about it, the happier she beca. She leaned her head on Mo Yinhe’s shoulder, her fair legs dangling in the pond, playfully stirring the misty water. Joy welled within her, like ripples spreading across her heart.

Mo Yinhe extended an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his embrace.

Si Mingjing said, "What a pity."

"What’s a pity?"

"We’ve kept so many Dragon Spit Pearls and cherished mories. Yet, for so reason, we don’t have the mory of when we first t. Now we can only imagine it based on the murals."

Si Mingjing wanted to know more details, but there were too few; they were mostly filling in the gaps with imagination.

Mo Yinhe laughed three tis and said, "What does it matter? Imagination can be the most beautiful. I’ll have Fengyin make up a story for you every day; I guarantee it will be a heart-stirring romantic tale of love. Our son has a talent for this. We can really tap into his potential."

Si Mingjing also laughed. "If Big Brother knew we were developing this talent of his, he would certainly be shocked and disdain us utterly."

"Just don’t let him find out. One more skill, one more way to make a living."

Si Mingjing laughed, burying her head in his chest. Does our son really need this extra ’rice bowl’? she wondered. But it could be a hobby. Aren’t secret identities all the rage nowadays? If we cultivate this talent well, he could have a secret identity as a top scriptwriter in the future!

The two of them mused over their children’s futures, laughing nonstop.

Two hours later, after Xiaobai had finished his soak, they left the Dragon Pond but did not leave the Temple. Thinking that perhaps the Temple had once been their ho tens of thousands of years ago, they decided to stay. They would discuss with a designer how to renovate it into a cozy ho. The current temple is too solemn, a bit too austere, they mused. Why did we make it so sacred when we built it all those millennia ago?

「The day quickly passed by.」

Returning to the Prince Residence, Ye Siyuan called to say that Yecheng was snowing.

Si Mingjing was excited. She had long been looking forward to snow in Yecheng, to walking in the snow.

"Sister-in-law, when will you and my brother co back? And when will the kids be back?"

With several children suddenly gone from the house, it felt cold and quiet, a little unsettling. Grandma would ask four or five tis a day, "When are the children coming back?"

Normally, Grandma would experint with gourt dishes and call the children over to her place after school to enjoy the various pastries she made.

Grandpa also felt sothing was missing. He used to call the kids into his study every day to watch them practice calligraphy with a brush or to play chess with them. Despite their young age, the little nephews were no slouches at chess. Especially Ye Jingzhe. His Go skills were simply amazing. Every ti Grandfather talked to old friends on the phone, he would boast about his great-grandson.

Si Mingjing wanted to go back to see the snow. She said, "We’ll be back in a couple of days. You call the Crown Prince first. Have him send the children from Baitown City back to Yecheng. Your brother and I will follow shortly."
