Si Mingjing suddenly stopped in her tracks, standing inside the bedroom. She didn’t even venture out to the balcony. To her surprise, her husband’s judgnt was impressively sharp; he had identified Mu Genggeng’s true identity in an instant. Coincidentally, Yan Mu overheard it—a turn of events much smoother than what she had originally planned.

The corners of Si Mingjing’s mouth curved upward, unable to hide her delight. For a mont, her gaze fell on that incredibly intelligent man standing on the balcony, feeling as if his handso features beca even more attractive, striking right into her heart. She decided that no matter how angry her husband might get tonight, she would have whatever she desired.

Standing next to Mo Yinhe was Fengjue. When he heard Mo Yinhe’s words, his eyes widened with astonishnt, his gaze falling upon Mu Genggeng as if trying to see through her disguise.

Fengjue, dumbstruck, said, "Your Excellency, what are you saying? She’s Song Pianlan? Wasn’t Song Pianlan shot in a cold-blooded assassination half a year ago, dead and gone?"

Mo Yinhe stood up, his legs long and straight. He walked over to Mu Genggeng, looking down at her.

Mu Genggeng felt as if she was being stripped bare under his gaze, both annoyed and terrified. "I’m not, I’m not!"

She wanted to explain! She couldn’t beco Song Pianlan again! That na, Song Pianlan, would bring her infamy and make her a target for everyone! She was Mu Genggeng, the true heiress of a wealthy family. As long as she diligently cultivated this identity, she would beco a dical prodigy, and her future would be boundlessly bright!

But Mo Yinhe’s words stripped away her disguise. His hands leisurely tucked in his pockets as he looked at Mu Genggeng with a cold sneer.

"Half a year ago, Song Pianlan was assassinated. Her death was more than deserved for her monstrous cris. I never expected that such a person could have such luck, to be reborn as soone else—still an heiress of a rich family."

"A person who knew nothing about traditional dicine suddenly developed a love for it six months ago, showing considerable talent, and felt so sympathetic towards the Song Family—Fengjue, can’t you guess? In this world, apart from my wife Si Mingjing who is a dical genius, which other woman could receive such Shurong?"

Mo Yinhe exposed Song Pianlan’s true identity, not forgetting to complint his own wife in the process.

Si Mingjing stood in the bedroom. Listening to Mo Yinhe’s constant desire to boast about his wife, she felt as sweet inside as if she had consud honey, her smile so wide her lips couldn’t contain it.

At that mont, Yan Mu pushed open the glass doors of the balcony and strode out. He pulled Mu Genggeng, who had been pinned to the ground, to her feet and shielded her behind him, saying, "Brother Mo, you can’t just fabricate stories out of thin air. Genggeng is Genggeng. That woman you’re talking about, what’s her na, Song Pianlan? She’s a nobody. How could she ever be Genggeng?"

Though his words were ant to defend Mu Genggeng, to her, they sounded particularly harsh—more humiliating than a slap in the face.

Mo Yinhe’s lips curled into a faint sneer. "Indeed, Song Pianlan was a nobody, unworthy of being Mu Genggeng."

Yan Mu found those words quite agreeable.

But Mu Genggeng’s face had turned extrely unsightly.

Si Mingjing, along with Ye Siyuan, Ye Shen, and Yan Zhenxi, all ca out from the bedroom.

Yan Zhenxi approached Yan Mu and said, "Brother, clear your head. This Mu Genggeng has long since changed her core; she’s no longer the sister of your comrade-in-arms. Don’t let her use you. She used you to get into the Ye residence tonight, hoping to climb into Brother Mo’s bed. Can’t you see it?"

Yan Mu’s expression soured. He turned to look at Mu Genggeng. "Genggeng, what’s going on? Explain it to !"

Mu Genggeng pointed at Si Mingjing, angrily saying, "Brother Mu, I saw Miss Si leaving the banquet with a man, entering a room to do sothing improper. I was just afraid Mr. Mo would be cuckolded and kindly ca to warn him. Instead, he indiscriminately detained and even branded as Song Pianlan! Brother Mu..."

Suddenly, Mu Genggeng leaned her head on Yan Mu’s shoulder and burst into tears. While crying, she tugged at Yan Mu’s heartstrings, "Brother Mu, why are good intentions t with such ill will? Just because my own brother has passed away, does that an I can be bullied by others?"

Upon hearing her ntion that her brother had passed away, Yan Mu was instantly filled with guilt.

Mu Genggeng, feeling the stimulus wasn’t enough, continued, "If my brother were still alive, he would never allow others to bully like this. He said that in this lifeti, if anyone dared to touch a single hair on my head, he would move heaven and earth to seek justice for ."

Upon hearing this, Yan Mu felt even more guilty. If it weren’t for saving him, Mu Genggeng’s brother would not have died.

Yan Mu turned and glared furiously at Mo Yinhe. "Enough, Brother Mo!"

With that, he intended to take Mu Genggeng away.

Yan Zhenxi was so angry she wished she could knock him out. Blocking Yan Mu’s path, she said, "Brother, can’t you see clearly? This woman is just using her brother’s death to manipulate you into being her tool!"

"Sister, stop talking! I’m willing!" Yan Mu’s eyes reddened.

He couldn’t let his comrade’s sister be bullied; otherwise, his comrade’s spirit in heaven would not rest in peace.

At a glance from Mo Yinhe, Fengjue imdiately stepped forward, closed the glass doors of the bedroom, and prevented Yan Mu from leaving with Mu Genggeng.

Fengjue, with a stern face, said, "Young Master Yan, the matter hasn’t been clarified yet, and you want to take her away now? Have you asked for His Excellency’s permission?"

"You dare stop ?"

Yan Mu was no pushover either. The atmosphere instantly grew taut with tension.

Fengjue stood his ground, hands behind his back, his face grave. "Miss Mu Genggeng, you trespassed into His Excellency’s bedroom with ill intentions while he was asleep. Do you think she can just walk away?"

"I didn’t!" Mu Genggeng clung to Yan Mu’s arm. "Brother Mu, you saw it in the banquet hall! Miss Si was being very chummy with a man, talking and laughing. She was obviously being flirtatious! Later, when I went to the restroom, I saw Miss Si and that man sneak into a room..."

Even now, Mu Genggeng didn’t forget to publicly declare Si Mingjing’s flirtatious behavior, emphasizing it repeatedly.

Si Mingjing smiled. "Classmate Mu, the man you ntioned was ill and needed my dical attention. I took him to a private room to rest. How did that beco so dishonorable in your eyes? He has already been sent to the hospital. Could I really do sothing unspeakable in a room with a sick patient?"

Mu Genggeng’s expression changed. "Impossible! He was perfectly fine, not sick at all!"

Si Mingjing’s lips curled into a cold smile. "If you don’t believe , I can retrieve the palace surveillance footage for you to see if he was sent to the hospital."

After speaking, Si Mingjing gave an order to Fengjue, "Guard Feng, to prove my innocence, please retrieve the surveillance footage."

"Yes, Crown Princess Consort."
