Just after she finished speaking, Si Mingjing pressed her temples and furrowed her brows, causing Mo Yinhe’s heart to tighten with concern. "What’s wrong, do you have a headache?"
A sudden, intense pain made Si Mingjing subconsciously rest her head on Mo Yinhe’s shoulder.
She had no idea what was happening.
The next second, she felt a trickle from her nose. With no tissues at hand, she reached up to wipe it, afraid the discharge might reach her mouth.
Beside her, Ye Nianbai suddenly cried out in panic, "Daddy, Jingjing is having a nosebleed!"
Mo Yinhe looked down. Sure enough. Why the sudden nosebleed?
With a tense expression, Mo Yinhe scooped her up in a princess carry, strode back to the bedroom, and placed her on the bed.
"Xiaobai, bring so tissues."
"Right away, Daddy!"
Ye Nianbai dashed to the table, grabbed a box of tissues, and scampered to the bedside to hand them to Mo Yinhe.
Mo Yinhe took the tissues and gently wiped the blood from Si Mingjing’s nose.
Then, he rolled clean tissues into two small balls and stuffed them into her nostrils to stop the bleeding.
"What’s the matter?" he asked, sitting beside her, his eyes full of concern. "Take your own pulse."
"Mhm."
Si Mingjing lay back on the bed, head tilted up, as she took her own pulse.
"I’m fine physically, just a bit sleepy. It’s probably because I’m in heat. Don’t worry, let nap for a bit."
Si Mingjing’s head was spinning, and she drifted off into a drowsy sleep.
About ten minutes later, a wave of new mories surged into her mind.
She instinctively called out, "Xiangru..."
On the terrace outside the bedroom, Little Xiangru, in his fish tank, heard his mom calling his na and began to dart about excitedly.
"WOW! WOW! Is Mommy calling for this little fish?"
"Mommy! Mommy! I’m here!"
Mo Yinhe remained seated at the bedside, his tall and sturdy figure etched in the soft light, as he heard Si Mingjing murmuring in her sleep.
He leaned in closer, listening as Si Mingjing said, "Xiangru, Xiangru, good child, don’t be sad. In the next life... we’ll be mother and son again."
A teardrop rolled from the corner of Si Mingjing’s eye.
The sight made Mo Yinhe’s heart clench. Is she having a nightmare? he thought.
"Mingjing? Wake up."
Mo Yinhe gently shook Si Mingjing’s shoulder, trying to awaken her from the nightmare.
The four little dragon cubs, also on the bed, gently shook Si Mingjing, full of concern. "Mommy, Mommy, wake up, will you?"
Si Mingjing slowly opened her eyes. She saw Mo Yinhe and the four little dragon cubs. The tear tracks on her face were still damp, her eyelashes wet.
"Jingjing, why are you crying? Are you in pain? Where does it hurt? Let this young master blow on it for you."
After a mont, Si Mingjing sat up and shook her head. "I’m fine now."
Mo Yinhe poured her a glass of water and held it to her lips. "Did you have a nightmare?"
Si Mingjing sipped the water slowly and deliberately.
She shook her head. "It wasn’t a nightmare; it was a beautiful dream."
"A beautiful dream? You kept calling for Xiangru in your dream. Who were you dreaming about?"
He suppressed the jealousy in his heart. She’s never dread of , or called my na in her sleep, he thought.
Si Mingjing said, "A child nad Xiangru. The ’Xiangru’ from the idiom ’Xiang Ru Yi Mo,’ which ans mutual support in hardship. He said he wanted to be reincarnated as my son in his next life."
Ye Nianbai lay at the head of the bed, jauntily fiddling with his shiny little dragon horns, trying to act cute to cheer Si Mingjing up. "Jingjing! You must have dread of this young master! This young master definitely wanted to be reincarnated as Jingjing’s precious child in his last life!"
"Liangliang too!"
"Susu as well!"
Gu Shurong squeezed over, pushing Ye Nianbai aside, and handed a ham sausage to Si Mingjing. "This baby too! Xiangru must be this baby! Mama, eat so at. Last ti, this baby made a wish upon a shooting star that if Mama eats at, all your ailnts will disappear."
Si Mingjing took a bite and rubbed Gu Shurong’s chubby cheeks. This child really can’t go a single day without at! she thought. Getting him to lose weight would probably be harder than reaching for the heavens, she mused.
Her gaze lingered on the four children. Could one of them really be Little Xiangru reincarnated? she wondered.
She had just taken a short nap. In fact, she hadn’t been dreaming but was rather receiving new mories.
It seed the Dragon Spit Pearl she had consud had a delayed effect; the mories didn’t flood her mind all at once but arrived in batches.
This new mory was from after Mo Yinhe had accumulated nine lifetis of rit for her.
Nine lifetis of rit, in exchange for her, Little Liyu, gaining the chance to transform into human form!
After transforming into a human, she t Mo Yinhe in his tenth lifeti.
In that lifeti, she and Mo Yinhe married and had a son nad Xiangru, a na Mo Yinhe himself had chosen.
In that lifeti, she, as a carp, leaped over the Dragon Sect and beca a dragon.
But she was a short-lived dragon and soon reverted to her original form, becoming Little Liyu once more.
Mo Yinhe, unwilling to accept this, even slit his throat to be reincarnated, continuing to accrue rit for her!
He said he would accumulate another ninety lifetis of rit to turn her into a True Dragon!
Their son, Little Xiangru, was also unwilling to accept such a short bond with his mother.
He told her, "Mama! Mama! After you beco a True Dragon, I still want to be your son! I want to be your little dragon cub! Mama, rember my face; I want to look the sa so you can recognize instantly!"
The Little Xiangru in her new mory was very cute and adorable but looked different from Ye Nianbai, Gu Shurong, Sheng Liangliang, and Yun Xiaosu.
Could it be that I have more than four children? Perhaps five? she wondered. My Little Xiangru might be out there sowhere, waiting for to find him! she thought. This was a mother’s strong sixth sense, an intuition, she felt.
Si Mingjing got out of bed and took out a drawing book and colored pencils from Liangliang’s little backpack, sketching on paper.
Soon, a soft and adorable little boy ca to life on the page.
Ye Nianbai lay beside her, tilting his little head. "Jingjing, are you drawing this young master? It doesn’t look much like , though."
"It’s not you. This is Little Xiangru."
Si Mingjing handed the completed drawing to Mo Yinhe.
"Check if there is such a child on the Mu Continent. Perhaps we have more than four children."
Mo Yinhe was instantly shocked. "Are you sure?"
Si Mingjing shook her head. "Maybe not. It’s just an intuition."
"Don’t worry, Mingjing. Your intuition has always been accurate!"
Mo Yinhe gazed at the child in the drawing, his deep, peach-blossom eyes shimring with a subtle light.
His gaze tender, he took a photo of the drawing and sent it to his intelligence network.
He dialed a number, an unconscious hint of anticipation touching the corners of his lips. "Start searching! Scour the entire Mu Continent if you have to, but find this child for !"
"OH! OH! OH! Daddy! Little Xiangru is right here! This little fish is right here!"
Little Xiangru was thrilled to hear his mom and dad saying his na!
This little fish longed so much to beco a human baby and tumble right into his mom and dad’s arms!
