Eight words, his tone calm, yet each word resounded clearly.
Lady Wei didn’t expect such an answer from him, and looked at him dumbfounded, sothing flashed in her eyes. She lowered her voice before speaking, "You an, you will marry Xinyan?"
Gu Ningyi looked at her with interest, and instead of answering, he asked, "Wasn’t my statent clear enough?"
The implication was clear without being stated.
Lady Wei was either too shocked or montarily unsure of how to react. Her smile seed a bit stiff, though it quickly faded, and her eyelids lowered slightly, "Is that so, that’s nice."
Gu Ningyi glanced at her face for a few seconds, his dark eyes narrowed slightly, but he said nothing more.

When Dong Xin Yan and Wei Xinruo returned from their physical exams, Lady Wei had left early due to so matter. Gu Ningyi conveyed this to Wei Xinruo, who nodded without much disappointnt on her face, seemingly used to it.
She pulled Dong Xin Yan to sit down, took out her sketchbook from beside her pillow, and handed it to Dong Xin Yan, "Sister, I’ve made a few new drawings these days, have a look."
Since childhood, Wei Xinruo had poor health and couldn’t do much; drawing was her only interest and joy.
Dong Xin Yan gladly accepted it and flipped it open.
Previously, Wei Xinruo mostly drew her imagined self, but now she drew based on herself. It must be said, her artistry was exquisite and beautiful, every stroke perfect, her entire likeness vivid on paper.
This ti, however, she didn’t just draw herself but also included herself, one drawing showed them arm in arm, shopping in a mall, their identical faces, and equally bright smiles.
Looking at it, Dong Xin Yan couldn’t help but smile.
"I’ve been looking forward to capturing this scene for a long ti, finally I have the chance. But there’s another scene I’m eager to draw, though I don’t know when I’ll see it."
Wei Xinruo said as she looked brightly between Dong Xin Yan and Gu Ningyi.
Gu Ningyi sat beside Dong Xin Yan, his long legs elegantly crossed, his long arm casually rested on the chair back behind Dong Xin Yan. He gave Wei Xinruo a sideways glance, his voice lazy, "What scene?"
Wei Xinruo’s red lips curved into a smile, her dark eyes twinkled, suddenly reaching out, grabbing Dong Xin Yan’s hand with one and Gu Ningyi’s with the other, before clasping them together. She laughed, "Of course, it’s your wedding scene. When can I see that?"
Wedding?
The sudden ntion of the topic left Dong Xin Yan a bit stunned, her beautiful large eyes blinked, but her gaze was frozen.
Gu Ningyi, however, had a slight gleam in his eyes, his dark gaze burning as he looked at Dong Xin Yan, seemingly serious yet teasing, "I’m always ready..."
"Oh~ Ning Yi brother, is this your way of proposing?"
Wei Xinruo laughed behind her hand and then winked ambiguously at Dong Xin Yan, "Sister, Ning Yi brother has made his move, what’s your answer?"
She and Gu Ningyi had just reconciled and their relationship had only just begun; she hadn’t thought about anything yet. How did it suddenly co to marriage?
Dong Xin Yan felt her cheeks warm under Gu Ningyi’s gaze, her mind a bit dazed. She instinctively shook her head, "What are you talking about, it’s still early."
Despite her words, in Dong Xin Yan’s mind, the image of marrying Gu Ningyi unexpectedly and unconsciously materialized...
