Dong Xin Yan was stunned for a second, then reflexively looked at Gu Ningyi. Gu Ningyi’s dark eyes seed montarily still, but it was fleeting. He then looked away expressionlessly and continued eating his breakfast as if nothing had happened.
If he had shown any reaction, Dong Xin Yan wouldn’t have felt guilty, but precisely because he acted this way, Dong Xin Yan inexplicably felt guilty, unsure and unsettled.
Especially... the ringtone she had set especially for Ziyang before, "Will You Marry Today," which she had forgotten to change, was now cheerfully singing: "Will you marry today..."

Gu Ningyi’s brows knitted tightly, his eyes narrowed slightly, his voice still indifferent, "Is there a need to be so excited?"
Though the words carried a hint of disdain, he still pulled her into his arms, one hand taking a tissue to wipe her lips, the other gently patting her back to help her catch her breath.
"Are you okay?"
Dong Xin Yan was coughing so hard she couldn’t catch her breath, unable to answer Gu Ningyi, she could only weakly shake her head in his arms.
Watching her little face flush completely red, unable to stop coughing, the anger in Gu Ningyi’s heart dissipated like smoke.
A mont later, Dong Xin Yan finally stopped coughing, and the call was automatically disconnected because no one answered for a long ti. Dong Xin Yan inconspicuously breathed a sigh of relief.
Little did she know, all her expressions were seen clearly by Gu Ningyi, his eyes darkened, montarily unsure whether to be angry or amused.
He had always been a commanding and domineering person with a strong possessiveness. Regarding Dong Xin Yan, he was unwilling to give an inch. He wanted everything about her to belong completely to him, and he wanted her to utterly sever ties with Cheng Ziyang, never to intersect again in this lifeti.
In her world, only one man was needed, and that was him.
But as things stood, even though he was unwilling to admit it, he knew the emotional foundation between him and Dong Xin Yan was frighteningly fragile, supported only by past mories and emotions. Therefore, he couldn’t be hasty or show dominance and possessiveness at this mont; he’d already suffered once before, hadn’t he?
So, to firmly grasp Dong Xin Yan’s heart, at this ti, the only thing he could do was to show weakness.
His mind churned with thoughts, Gu Ningyi’s dark eyes grew even deeper, his thin lips lightly pursed. He spoke faintly, "Xinyan, if you want to continue contacting Cheng Ziyang, then do so. Don’t worry about , although I... am not happy, I will try to respect you."
