Dong Xin Yan had already been teased by Gu Ningyi to the point of being utterly confused and emotionally overwheld. Her mind was a blank, and she could only cling to him, follow him, and let him do as he pleased.
But that layer of coldness still awakened a trace of consciousness in her, and thoughts suddenly surged into her mind, causing her to shiver involuntarily.
How did things progress to this point all of a sudden? She had unknowingly walked here today, then unconsciously had all her mories awakened, and then subconsciously said sorry to him. In the end, how did they unknowingly just...?
This seems to have progressed a bit too quickly, and... it doesn’t feel right.
She recalled the feelings from the past, and even now, within her, these feelings were burning, exciting, and boiling. However, the little bit of awareness left in her was reminding her that she and Gu Ningyi, for now, couldn’t do such things, shouldn’t and mustn’t.
After all, she still bore the identity of soone else’s fiancée...
As soon as this thought surfaced, the heat in her mind was extinguished in an instant. Dong Xin Yan pressed her hands against Gu Ningyi’s chest and pushed him away without any warning.
Gu Ningyi was completely unprepared and was actually pushed away by her. His body half rose, and those bloodshot eyes were still filled with deep confusion.
Dong Xin Yan couldn’t bear to look at him. Even though she wasn’t a man, she knew how painful and cruel it was to ask a man to stop in such a situation, but she had to say stop.
Before Gu Ningyi could react, Dong Xin Yan hastily pulled up her clothes that had been torn off. One of her garnts was already torn, so she had to hold it with her hand. Then she quickly got up, got off the sofa, and took two steps back, keeping a distance from Gu Ningyi.
Her movents were quick and neat. Gu Ningyi blinked, the confusion in his dark eyes slowly faded away. He slowly looked up at Dong Xin Yan, who was maintaining her past distance from him. The joy in his heart hadn’t even had ti to extinguish before his eyes beca sowhat gloomy.
Seeing Gu Ningyi’s expression, Dong Xin Yan imdiately realized he had misunderstood sothing. She quickly said, "Sorry, I, I didn’t..."
Didn’t an to refuse, didn’t an to reject? But when the words reached her mouth, they didn’t feel right, so Dong Xin Yan quickly swallowed them back down and continued to stamr in explanation, "No, what I an is, I just feel that what we’re doing now... isn’t quite right, so, so... sorry."
Just felt it wasn’t quite right, so she pushed him away.
Not because she hated him, resisted him, so she pushed him away?
A sudden brightness flashed across Gu Ningyi’s dark eyes. He still seed a bit uncertain; his thin lips parted as he slowly said, word by word, "You just thought it wasn’t right? Not that you were unwilling?"
Dong Xin Yan reflexively nodded, but after nodding, she felt sothing was wrong and was shocked into quickly shaking her head again.
Seeing her nod then shake her head, Gu Ningyi’s brows furrowed slightly, and then his dark eyes dimd again, a hint of disheartennt appearing between his brows, "So you’re still unwilling? Do you still dislike ?"
How could she dislike him now...
Hearing his low, hoarse voice filled with deep sorrow, she couldn’t care about anything else and quickly shook her head again with emphasis, "I’m not unwilling, and I don’t dislike you."
The girl’s voice was so crisp, so clear, and a flash of brightness crossed Gu Ningyi’s eyes rapidly; a slight smile appeared at the corner of his lips, "So, you were willing for what happened just now, and you like too?"
