If you’re going to look, then look. If not, don’t. Being so indecisive makes , with my obsessive-compulsive tendencies, want to just go up and open it for him.

But seeing his furrowed brows and conflicted expression, Secretary Lin found it extrely intriguing.

She’s never seen such an expression on the face of the Boss before, has she? Still, what happened to Dong Xin Yan when she was eighteen, why is it troubling the Boss so much? She couldn’t help but let her imagination run wild.

This gentle cough from Secretary Lin brought Gu Ningyi back to his senses. In just a second, he collected all his emotions and returned to his usual aloofness.

He glanced at Secretary Lin and noticed her eyes wide and sparkling with curiosity and investigation, his gaze deepened. He bypassed the desk, sat back in his swivel chair, and then spoke in a clear voice, "What’s the matter?"

Secretary Lin was still imrsed in imagining what exactly was causing the Boss’s dilemma, so she didn’t hear Gu Ningyi the first ti he spoke. It wasn’t until Gu Ningyi repeated, "Secretary Lin, anything?"

The voice was mild, yet it sent a chill down anyone who heard it.

Secretary Lin shivered involuntarily and quickly straightened her expression, saying, "Mr. Gu, there are a few docunts here that need your review."

"Alright."

Secretary Lin stepped forward and placed the files on the desk.

Gu Ningyi reached out, set aside the investigation results file in front of him, and then picked up the docunts Secretary Lin brought in to start reviewing them.

Secretary Lin was a bit surprised at Gu Ningyi’s actions. What did it an? Was he not planning to look at it anymore?

Gu Ningyi went through the docunts for a while and noticed Secretary Lin still standing there rigidly. He paused slightly, raised his eyelids to give her a cursory glance, and spoke lightly, "Anything else?"

Secretary Lin shivered again, reflexively shook her head, "Nothing else."

Gu Ningyi said nothing more, lifting his chin toward the door.

Secretary Lin let out a dry laugh, then turned and left the office.

The office suddenly fell silent, and as Gu Ningyi withdrew his gaze, he inadvertently glanced at the docunts set aside.

His gaze wavered slightly.

Originally, he was eager to know whether everything Dong Xin Yan told him was true.

However, when the answer was right in front of him, he hesitated.

This docunt was like the final straw.

If the result was that Dong Xin Yan lied, she might have been the one who accompanied him that year, which could explain the strange emotions and uncontrollable behavior he had towards her recently.

But... if Dong Xin Yan didn’t lie, then that year, she indeed had nothing to do with him...

Then, his strange emotions and uncontrollable behavior, after thinking it over, he was left with only one possibility.

That is, a man has developed... feelings for a woman.

Thinking of this, Gu Ningyi’s hand suddenly clenched, deep shock swept through his dark eyes, unable to believe, and unwilling to accept this fact.

Fine, he could admit he’s interested in Dong Xin Yan, but a man’s interest in a woman isn’t necessarily due to feelings, is it?

Perhaps it’s just to humiliate her, tease her, bully her, or even because of her body?
