C44 – There Was a Mine at Ho!

Welco to Sacred Heart Academy. These are your dorm keys, and we’ve already moved all your luggage in for you. You can head straight to your rooms. Get so rest tonight because tomorrow is the opening ceremony, and you’ll et your teachers. Rember, don’t be late!” Teacher Hai advised.

Hai Yunxing distributed the dorm keys, each marked with a room number, so there was no worry about finding the right dorm.

“Got it! We won’t forget, Teacher,” Qin Hongyu and the others responded, nodding in acknowledgnt.

“Phew… It’s finally over! Ti for a decent al at last!” Fu Tian exclaid, patting his growling stomach as he stepped off the helicopter.

“It’s dinner ti, and the cafeteria should be serving now. Let’s head over!” Qin Hongyu proposed.

“Sure thing! We’ll follow your lead, Hongyu!” Bo Miaojiao chid in.

Soon, the trio made their way to the Sacred Heart Academy’s cafeteria, the Qingyun Restaurant.

As Qin Hongyu was about to guide Bo Miaojiao to the first-floor serving area, Fu Tian interjected, “We’ve just passed the Martial Exam. To celebrate becoming Battle Spirit Fighters, we’ve got to treat ourselves to sothing special!”

“Really? The food on the first floor slls pretty good to ,” Qin Hongyu remarked earnestly.

“Ah, but you haven’t tried the third-floor fare. Once you do, you might never go back to the first floor!” Fu Tian chuckled.

“But… won’t it be pricey?” Qin Hongyu asked sheepishly, scratching his head.

He had saved up just over five thousand yuan through daily frugality and didn’t fancy blowing it all on one al.

“Not at all! A deluxe al is just 999 yuan—a real bargain,” Fu Tian assured him with a straight face.

Qin Hongyu was dumbfounded.

I’ll never grasp the ways of the wealthy!

999 yuan for a al and it’s ‘cheap’? Why not just hold up a bank?

With a wry smile, Qin Hongyu was about to settle for the first-floor offerings when Fu Tian grabbed him again. “Don’t worry about it—I’ll pick up the tab!”

“Co on, Jiao! I’m treating you to a feast today!” Qin Hongyu made a swift 180-degree turn and eagerly started to guide Bo Miaojiao up the stairs.

Fu Tian’s face darkened instantly. Could you be any more blatant with your intentions? And really, is it okay to use my money to treat soone else to dinner?

“You’re headed the wrong way! The elevator is this way!” Despite his exasperation, Fu Tian called out to them.

“Cough, cough… Fu, you’re a young guy, shouldn’t you be getting more exercise? Taking the stairs is great for your health! But since you’re not up for it, we’ll join you in the elevator. After all, what are brothers for?” Qin Hongyu said with a hint of teasing in his voice, trying to sound nonchalant.

“Heh, as long as it makes you happy…” Fu Tian replied with a wry smile, pressing the button for the third-floor elevator.

Soon enough, the trio made their way to the dining hall on the third floor, where the crowd was noticeably sparser than on the first floor. The majority here were school leaders and teachers, with only a handful of students, each exuding luxury with their designer attire.

??”Wow! This is why a al costs 999 – it’s absolutely scrumptious!” Qin Hongyu exclaid after tasting his al, unable to hide his delight.

??”That’s a given! The ingredients here are all from raised Demon Beasts. The Spiritual Energy they contain is incomparable to ordinary wild beasts. Regularly consuming them can not only boost your physical strength but also gradually increase your Spiritual Energy. Aside from the price, there’s not a single downside!” Fu Tian chid in, his laughter filled with satisfaction.

“Fu, you wouldn’t happen to have a mine in your family, would you?” Qin Hongyu teased.

“Ah? How did you know?” Fu Tian responded, genuinely surprised.

“Thud!”

The steak Qin Hongyu was enjoying dropped from his mouth, and suddenly, the tantalizing al before him lost all its appeal.
