"Notify everyone! I’m setting up an Inter-Provincial Teleportation Array to the Eastern Region. All Disciples, prepare to go there for Demon Slaying!"
Xu Nian’s lips curled up as he spoke, "Let’s go straight to the Demon Race’s stronghold and take it down, then find a way to destroy their Teleportation Array to the Southern Continent. When that’s done, we’ll head to the Southern Continent, trap them, and finish them off!"
As his words fell, almost all the Players received a new Task.
[Task: Demon Slaying.]
[Brief: Head to the Eastern Region’s Demon Race stronghold and clear out all Demon Race mbers.]
[Reward: For each sa-Realm Demon Race mber killed, you can obtain 100 Contribution Points. mbers of the Low-tier Demon Race are uniformly worth 1 Contribution Point.]
Seeing the first Task of the Fourth Test, the Players were also eagerly anticipating it.
"We finally got the first Task! Are we going straight to the Demon Race’s stronghold? So exciting!"
"No way! I have to post in the group chat so everyone logs on quickly. We need to team up for this Task."
"One hundred Contribution Points for the sa Realm? Just one Contribution Point for Low-tier Realms? This difference is huge!"
"Stop complaining, man. It’s good enough that there’s sothing to earn. The Sea Race barely shows up anymore; we can only hunt Demonic Beasts, and we earn so little from it. We’ve got to make a killing this ti."
"..."
The Players were all gearing up.
Others were eagerly calling their friends to form teams.
Xu Nian had set up the Teleportation Array to the Eastern Region at the Celestial One Daoist Sect. With the System available, constructing an Inter-Provincial Teleportation Array was not a problem.
After giving the Blood Demoness so instructions, Xu Nian followed the Players to the Eastern Region.
I haven’t been to Other Realms before; now is a good opportunity to see what the Eastern Region is like. The sudden rise of the Demon Race is indeed a huge problem.
The Players followed Xu Nian one by one into the Teleportation Array, and in a flash of white light, they all arrived in the Eastern Region.
What ca into view was a layer of dark red mist, and the ground was filled with pits and craters. The air around them was perated with an indescribably eerie and cold feeling.
From the distant mist, nurous roars echoed, sounding quite unsettling.
Upon seeing this scene, the Players beca excited one by one.
"Damn, I can sll the graphics cards burning again!"
"If this isn’t a high-budget production, what is? I just want to say, ’Aweso!’"
"The gas I played before are complete trash compared to this!"
"Love it! The visual impact is overwhelming. I can’t take it; I have to take a photo to commorate this mont."
"..."
While the Players were taking photos, the mist in front of them began to stir, and soon after, a dark shadow pounced out from the haze.
A Player standing too close didn’t even have a chance to react before the shadow pinned him to the ground. The others watched in horror as it tore at his neck, ripping off and swallowing large chunks of flesh.
In that mont, the Players clearly saw what had attacked them. A person!
To be precise, it was a mber of the Human Race whose body was covered in Demon Runes, whose mouth was sared with bright red blood, and who had undergone Demonization!
While this demonized human tore at the Corpse on the ground, he eyed the other Players with a cold and heartless gaze.
Junlin explained, "This is a demonized human, a mber of the Human Race infected by Demon Qi, who has beco a minion of the Demon Race—essentially a rciless killing machine."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Under the Phoenix Tree shot out a blast of Fire Magic, turning the demonized human to ash.
Demonization? Xu Nian furrowed his brows. It seems the Demon Race took over the entire Eastern Region using Demon Qi. No wonder the Eastern Region has beco their domain!
A Player comnted, "At least we can retain our sanity after Demonization, which is good news. Plus, our strength increases substantially."
Little Overlord with Silver Spear then added, "However, I suggest everyone be cautious when encountering actual mbers of the Demon Race. Being infected by Demon Qi is truly uncomfortable."
He certainly had the most authority on this topic. When he was infected by Demon Qi back then, he had nearly been tornted to death. The Demon Qi had relentlessly surged through his body, as if sothing was tearing at his very flesh and blood. Survive, and you beco demonized; fail, and you’re just a Corpse. Even now, recalling that sensation, a touch of fear crept into him. Honestly, he truly never wanted to experience that again...
