Atop the Dam.
Players had readied themselves, each and every one awaiting the Sea Race’s second wave of attack.
"Not to boast, but this ti, no matter how many the Sea Race sends, they’re all going to die."
"My Great Saber is already impatient for blood."
"I hope they don’t send any more Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals this ti—I’m totally sick of them. I want to eat sothing different."
"Up to now, I haven’t even seen any decent seafood to eat."
"..."
The Players were ready for the second wave of attack, and what they wanted was simple: a change in the type of seafood. They were sick of it. Utterly sick of it.
Xu Nian stood atop the Dam, looking at the surging waves in the distance, suddenly feeling an indescribable apprehension.
The Sea Race’s second offensive will definitely be stronger than the first, and this ti, there will likely be significant trouble. If things go badly, I might have to activate the Eight Gates Escape Armor to deal with them. After all, the Sea Race aren’t fools; they won’t just stand there and take a beating. I hope the Players’ current preparations can withstand the Sea Race’s attack. Of course, this is only the second wave. The upcoming third wave might very well be the catastrophe to end them all—whether they can withstand it is still up in the air.
"Holy shit, guys, look at the Sea Surface!" A Bowl of Duck Leg Rice shouted.
Players turned their heads to look, staring at the Sea Race appearing on the Sea Surface. At this mont, the Sea Surface was already teeming with densely packed Sea Race. Just in terms of variety, there were definitely several tis more than before.
The last wave had 10,000 Sea Race mbers. This ti, perhaps there were 50,000?
"Tsk, tsk, are those rfolk? Who the hell said rfolk had human torsos and fish tails? You! Get out here and face a beating!"
"A fish head with a human body? Good Lord, how’s anyone supposed to eat that?"
"I’m gonna puke, man—is this the end of my rmaid fantasy?"
"This ti, in addition to the Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals, so rfolk have shown up too, but these fish-headed creatures are just nauseating to look at."
"..."
「Above the Sea Surface, the rfolk Race, under the leadership of the rfolk King, had already gathered in the entire rfolk Sea Territory.」
And that wasn’t all. Aside from the rfolk Race, there was a large number of other Sea Race mbers. The Sea Race forces that had previously retreated from the Celestial Splendor Sect’s Sea Territory also gathered alongside the rfolk Race at this mont. The Turtle Chancellor arrived with a large contingent of Sea Race forces to wage war, their numbers in this Sea Territory swelling once more.
The rfolk King, holding a cold-glinting Trident, said coldly, "Turtle Chancellor, it seems you’ve gone to the wrong place—this Sea Territory isn’t your domain!"
Upon hearing this, the Turtle Chancellor just smiled faintly. Isn’t the entire Sea Race under Lord Dragon King’s domain? How could this Sea Territory be any different? Such audacity from the rfolk King!
"I heard the Human Race here is quite troubleso, rfolk King," the Turtle Chancellor said, a smile not quite reaching his eyes. "I, your humble servant, was just worried you might run into trouble. But now it seems I was overconcerned. The strongest among these humans are only in the Divinity Transformation Realm—I truly overestimated them."
The rfolk King didn’t say much, just glanced at the multitude of Sea Race mbers brought by the Turtle Chancellor. So many powerful beings in his rfolk Sea Territory, just to fight the Human Race? Is he sure they aren’t here to go after , the Fishman King? Hmph! Do they really think I, the rfolk King, am a fool?
The Turtle Chancellor didn’t offer much in the way of explanation, just quietly watched the distant Dam.
A Shrimp Soldier who had survived earlier hurried forward to report, "Reporting to the Chancellor, that’s a City Wall built by the Human Race—very solid. Our waves were unable to breach it."
Hmm? There was such a thing? The Turtle Chancellor conceded that the Human Race’s construction skills were indeed impressive. But the Sea Race’s waves are true natural disasters; how could a re wall withstand them?
"That’s not all; the humans in this area have a kind of weapon!" the Shrimp Soldier hastened to add. A Seahorse Military Advisor had his subordinates bring out a Road Roller to display before all the Sea Race.
"Chancellor, look," the Seahorse Military Advisor explained. "This is the latest weapon crafted by the Human Race, capable of moving to and fro atop the City Wall with ease. After our soldiers charged the City Wall, the majority were crushed to death by this weapon. As far as I know, the humans still have more of these weapons."
The Turtle Chancellor and the rfolk King both scrutinized the Road Roller. The Turtle Chancellor, who had dealt with humans before, was also seeing the Road Roller for the first ti. Seeing the bloodstains on it, the Turtle Chancellor couldn’t help but draw a sharp breath. Even I can imagine the horrific deaths of my fellow Sea Race mbers. Damn Human Race! To think they had created such a terrifying weapon! It already carries the aura of a Spiritual Artifact, deadly for lower-Realm Sea Race mbers. Once crushed, it’s a death sentence.
The rfolk King dismissively swung his Trident. The Trident glinted with cold light as an unstoppable force burst forth from it and descended upon the Road Roller.
BOOM!
The entire Road Roller exploded in front of all the Sea Race. It promptly disintegrated into ash from the sheer force.
"Trash! Weapons like these that don’t even qualify as Spiritual Artifacts dare to be called the Human Race’s great killing tools?" The rfolk King sneered, his eyes filled with scorn for the Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals. These weapons are nothing but junk in the eyes of the rfolk Race. The Human Race thinks they can use such weapons to attack the Sea Race? In their dreams!
"All rfolk Race lads, heed my command! Go and destroy that City Wall! Kill every mber of the Human Race on it!" The rfolk King raised his Trident high and shouted, "Kill them! The Human Race protected by them shall be our provisions! We shall feast for three days once we’re done!"
"Kill the Human Race, seize the provisions!"
"Kill the Human Race, seize the provisions!"
"Kill the Human Race, seize the provisions!"
"..."
All the rfolk of the rfolk Race, incited by the rfolk King, madly charged towards the Dam. At that mont, they seed no longer like rfolk, but rather wild beasts gone mad.
Atop the Dam, the Players had long been ready. Upon seeing a large wave of rfolk charging over, a dense swarm numbering in the thousands, the Players also began to make their move.
Chaotic Dance Steps sat firmly at the Headquarters, commanding through the Communication Ring, "Ranged attacks first to wear them down! Fire Elent Players and Earth Elent Players, take action imdiately! Don’t give this Sea Race a chance to get onto the Dam! You think you can get onto the Dam without preparing to face the waves? Dream on. Do you really think the Dam we’ve constructed is just for show?"
"Li Character - Fire Burn Butt!"
"Fire Escape - I’ll burn you and your turtle descendants!"
"Fire Escape - teor Fire Rain!"
"Fire elent, heed my call, ignite the fields!"
"..."
Wave after wave of Fire Magic attacks sparked within the Towers on the Dam, raining down upon the wave-riding rfolk Race. And that was just the beginning—Fire Magic was rely the overture.
"Earth Escape - Crush Your Whole Family!"
"Earth Magic - Heaven Burial!"
"Kun Character - Earth River Vehicle!"
"Earth elent, please heed my call, rocks soaring through the sky!"
"..."
Earth Magic Spells closely followed the Fire Magic attacks, aiming straight for the rfolk Race. A single Fire Magic spell might have been ineffective, but a concentrated volley was another matter entirely.
The rfolk Race mbers looked at the flas and stones coming towards them, their fish faces contorting in terror. What do the Sea Race fear the most? Isn’t it fire? These humans can actually unleash such enormous flas; no wonder the previous Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals lost.
Upon seeing the descending Fire Magic spells, as well as the stone fragnts wrapped in flas falling like shattered teors, the rfolk King’s expression beca exceedingly ugly.
The Turtle Chancellor had planned to leave, but upon noticing this scene, he too couldn’t help showing surprise. Was this released by the Human Race? Do the humans here actually possess such skill?
In the distance, the vanguard of the rfolk Race was completely engulfed in flas, setting a portion of the Sea Surface ablaze.
Faced with such a formidable attack, the rfolk Race imdiately began to scream in panic.
"Soone save , I don’t want to die yet!"
"Damn Human Race, hiding such a terrifying move!"
"Quick, dive into the water! Once we’re in, we won’t have to worry about the flas!"
"We can’t go into the water! Those stones are even more powerful! Even if we dive in, we’ll still be hit!"
"..."
In an instant, the rfolk Race suffered heavy casualties. They hadn’t even reached the Dam before many were already eliminated by the Players.
The rfolk King, seeing this scene, had his eyes turn blood-red in an instant, and a terrifying murderous intent radiated from him. Even those around him couldn’t help but swallow. This aura... It’s much stronger than the Turtle Chancellor’s; has he already reached the Mahayana Realm?
"Human Race, you’re courting death!" The rfolk King roared furiously, violently swinging his Trident, and a visible mass of energy gathered upon it.
As the energy mass consolidated, the tumultuous Sea Surface instantly burst apart. Torrents as thick as water buckets soared into the sky, whipping down towards the Players on the Dam like lashes.
"Fuck, that Boss over there is unleashing a big move!"
"What do we do? If that thing smashes down, we’re definitely gonna get whipped to death!"
"How is this different from the previous Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals? It’s like they’ve leveled up several notches!"
"Where are the people in the Command Post? Co up with a solution, quick!"
"..."
Inside the Command Post, Chaotic Dance Steps frowned and said, "All Wood Elent Players, release defensive spells! Water Elent Players, look out for and protect the other Players around you!"
Upon hearing this, those who had learned Wood Elent Spells hesitated no longer. One after another, they began to cast Wood Elent Spells.
"Wood Escape - Wood Burst Wall!"
"Wood Escape - Vine Entanglent!"
"Goddess of Wood, descend upon us!"
"Xun Character - Fragrant Sandalwood rit!"
"..."
The Wood Elent Players took action in succession. Vast arrays of Wooden Strips, planks, and vines gathered atop the Dam, forming a perfect protective shield.
The terrifying torrents struck the protective shield ford by the Wood Elent Spells like whips.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Against the torrents, the wooden protective shield proved as fragile as Tofu, shattering on contact.
The Players were shocked by this sight, their eyes wide as they stared at the descending torrents.
"Old Mo, beheading action!" Chaotic Dance Steps said through the Communication Ring, "That rfolk summoning the water pillars is yours to handle! Whether we get Team Wiped or not depends on you now!"
