Feng Shihan chuckled, shaking his head. "I’m afraid hotpot is off the nu for now, Xue i. You just gave birth, rember? You need high-fiber and protein-rich foods to recover properly."
Tang Xue i pouted but then smiled. "Fine, fine. I’ll settle for whatever you think is best. But once I’m fully recovered, we’re having a feast!"
"Deal," Feng Shihan agreed, his tone lightening as they finally headed ho.
As they made their way to the car, Tang Xue i’s playful mood brought a sense of normalcy amidst the heightened security asures. Feng Shihan held her hand, offering a reassuring squeeze as they approached the sleek, black car waiting for them.
Feng Shiyan and Qin Mingyue carefully placed the twins in their infant carriers, ensuring they were secure before sliding into the vehicle themselves.
Wang Yu, one of the guards Ken had sent vigilantly, opened the door for Tang Xue i and Feng Shihan, then took his place behind the wheel.
The drive ho was quiet, a stark contrast to the tension that had surrounded them in the hospital. Tang Xue i gazed out the window, the city passing by in a blur as she ntally prepared herself for their return ho. She couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitent and apprehension—bringing the twins ho was a monuntal step, but the threat of Ye Chen Ling still lood in the back of her mind.
Feng Shihan noticed her quiet deanor and reached over, placing a comforting hand on her knee. "Everything will be fine," he said softly, his voice filled with a confidence that he hoped would reassure her. "We’re all together, and that’s what matters."
Tang Xue i nodded, her lips curving into a small smile. "I know. It’s just... I want everything to be perfect for them, you know?"
"It will be," Feng Shihan replied firmly. "We’ve taken every precaution, and I won’t let anything happen to our family."
The rest of the ride passed in comfortable silence, with the twins dozing peacefully in their seats. Soon, they arrived at their ho—a spacious, elegant estate surrounded by lush gardens and high walls. The security detail was discreet but present, adding an extra layer of protection that Feng Shihan insisted on.
As they stepped out of the car, Tang Xue i took a deep breath, savoring the familiar scent of ho. Feng Shiyan and Qin Mingyue carefully carried the twins inside, while Feng Shihan guided Tang Xue i through the front door.
"Welco ho," Feng Shihan whispered, his arm wrapped around her shoulders.
Tang Xue i smiled, her heart swelling with emotion. "It feels good to be back."
"Young madam!!"
Auntie Gu shouted lightly her eyes lighting up with excitent as she spotted the twins, and she enthusiastically rushed over to greet them.
"Oh my, they’re even more adorable in person!" Auntie Gu exclaid, clapping her hands together with joy. She quickly moved to help Tang Xue i inside the house, her gaze fixed on the tiny bundles in Feng Shihan and Feng Shiyan’s arms. "Welco ho, little ones. We’ve been preparing for your arrival!"
Tang Xue i smiled at Auntie Gu’s warm reception, feeling a bit more at ease as she handed over the diaper bag. "Thank you, Auntie Gu. We’re glad to be back, I missed you so much!."
As they stepped into the house, butler Wang, was waiting just inside the entrance. He smiled warmly, his expression softening as he took in the sight of the newborns.
"Welco ho, Young masters, Madams, and the young master and young miss," Butler Wang greeted them, his voice carrying a note of genuine happiness. "Congratulations on the safe arrival of your children. They look just like the young master when he was born."
Feng Shihan chuckled, his guarded deanor easing a bit as he returned Butler Wang’s smile. "Thank you, uncle Wang. And yes, they do look like don’t they"
"Don’t rub it in.." Tang Xue i eye rolled as she chuckled, she loved him and she liked that they resembled him.
Tang Xue i glanced around the familiar surroundings of the house, feeling a sense of relief and comfort. The tension of the past few days began to fade as she saw the familiar faces.
Auntie Gu hovered close, her excitent barely contained as she reached out to take Sheni from Feng Shiyan. "May I hold her, young master Shiyan?"
Tang Xue i laughed softly and nodded. "Of course, Auntie Gu. Sheni say hello to auntie Gu, she took care of mummy when you were in my tummy."
Sheni cuuuked as she stared at Auntie Gu, who imdiately lted at her gaze.
"She’s so precious.."
Auntie Gu blinked backed the tears in her eyes. Butler Wang, leaned in slightly, as his eyes twinkled with grandfatherly affection.
"They’re perfect," Auntie Gu cooed, rocking Sheni gently. "You must be so proud."
"We are," Tang Xue i said, her voice softening as she watched the An Yu who was holding Leia’s wheelchair and helping her down the stairs.
But even in this mont of peace, Tang Xue i couldn’t help but add with a playful pout, "Auntie Gu, as much as I’d love to have a hotpot celebration, it looks like I’ll have to settle for sothing less exciting."
Auntie Gu chuckled knowingly. "No hotpot for you, Madam. You need to focus on recovery. But don’t worry, I’ll prepare a high-fiber and protein-rich feast that will be just as delicious."
Tang Xue i sighed dramatically but smiled. "Fine, fine. As long as it’s tasty."
They finally got down the stairs as Leia quickly rolled yo where they were, she stared at Shenhua.
"Baby boy’s so precious, what a bunch you got Xue i.."
Leia smiled as she stared at Shenmai and then at Tang Xue i.
"Sorry I couldn’t visit at the hospital, my leg still busted up.."
Tang Xue i smiled and walked closer to Leia and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"It’s okay, as long as you’re here that’s fine too..."
