After both sides had given a brief introduction, Azathoth spoke,
"We will begin the questioning, starting with your side, Yuri."
Leaning back in his chair, Yuri said,
"I’d like to better understand why you’re floating above Azure’s territory."
Khan was the one to respond,
"We’re simply moving to a better place..."
"And where would that be?"
"The sea... we want to stay near the coast, so we don’t cause trouble below."
Yuri seed to ponder the answer and soon accepted it, launching another question,
"Are you from Engracia?"
"We only passed through... but we have no friendship or ties with them."
"And what is your goal?"
"I’d rather not repeat myself..."
Yuri thought about Khan’s reply,
He’s difficult... why is he so blunt with his words? I got almost nothing from these questions...
Yuri continued,
"I’ve finished my questions."
Giving the floor to the other side, Azathoth asked,
"Is anyone here involved in sending the adventurers?"
Yuri raised a hand and said,
"I take full responsibility for sending them, but I had no idea there were intelligent beings present..."
Khan spoke as he rested his elbows on the chair and laced his fingers in front of his chest,
"So... you didn’t receive the ssage we sent?..."
"N-No, we did hear it, but..."
He couldn’t continue, so Khan finished for him,
"I’m confused... why did you keep going when all we wanted was to talk?"
Yuri began to sweat and replied,
"Unfortunately, the ssage arrived later than expected, so we didn’t have the chance to control the situation."
Khan went completely silent as he processed the answer. After a mont, he spoke with a decision in his tone,
"Plausible... I have no more questions..."
Yuri took a deep breath as the tension eased.
In that format, the eting continued until all the questions were answered. Nearing the end of the questioning, Azathoth spoke,
"Then we’ll end the questioning here and now begin the negotiations."
With the start of negotiations, the nobles—who had been quiet until now—also began to speak.
And Khan could see the malice in the eyes of so of them, which honestly only deepened his disgust for the people of this world.
With Khan composed and the others doing their best, the eting continued normally.
At the end of the eting, Azathoth said,
"With that, we conclude our eting."
Hearing this, Khan thought,
It was a good eting... nothing alarming happened... aside from those disgusting looks... but we managed to secure part of the coastline for the island... and a temporary ceasefire was signed with the proposal to talk more in the future...
Vivianne, seeing that no one else was going to speak, decided to make a proposal,
"I’d like to have a fight with Khan."
Silence took over the room. Hitting the table, Livia stood up and said,
"Can I just erase the existence of this insignificant being?"
Khan imdiately spoke upon hearing Livia,
"Livia, compose yourself... and you..." Khan looked at Vivianne and continued, "Are you being serious?"
Livia gritted her teeth and simply sat down while Vivianne continued with her mocking tone.
"But of course~ and I also don’t like repeating myself~"
Khan just sighed at the childish provocation and replied,
"No, I don’t want to."
"Soone’s scared?~"
Yuri was the one to respond,
"Can you shut up already, Vivianne?"
Vivianne, who had never been spoken to like that, looked at Yuri and said,
"And if I don’t?"
"Then consider yourself expelled from the court."
"Tsk."
With that, Vivianne’s provocations ca to an end, and he spoke to Khan,
"My apologies for my rude companion."
Khan simply said,
"I hope this doesn’t happen again, sincerely..."
Vivianne looked like she was going to say sothing, but Yuri’s voice cut her off,
"Of course! This won’t happen again, we’re leaving now."
They mounted their griffins and flew back toward their kingdom.
As for Khan and the others, who had only been circling around the island, they simply ascended to return to it.
Breaking the silence was Iris,
"Would they really beco our allies that easily?~"
Azathoth replied,
"Of course not, dear. They still see us as monsters. If given the chance, they’d attack us without hesitation."
This ti Khan spoke,
"Azathoth is right... this can’t last long..."
Honestly... I don’t care, I hated the look in those nobles’ eyes... and that half-dragon... if it weren’t for our lack of knowledge about this world, I wouldn’t be holding back so much...
---
Upon arriving in the castle courtyard and dismounting his griffin, Yuri murmured,
"There was no way to fight that..."
Now lost in thought,
He’s the worst combination possible... strong and intelligent... it worries that we’re so close to soone like that...
Yuri saw Vivianne approaching, cutting off his thoughts. Once she was close enough, she spoke,
"Why did you treat like that?"
He just sighed and said,
"Do you have a death wish?"
"But it was just a duel."
"You really think it would’ve ended as just that?"
"Huh? What do you an?"
Yuri sighed again and thought,
Am I dealing with a child? Has she really lived over a hundred years?
Yuri grabbed Vivianne’s shoulders and said,
"If he ’accidentally’ blew your head off, would that still count as part of the duel?"
"Yes..."
"You just gave them a perfect excuse to kill you without suffering any consequences. Just think more about your actions."
She doesn’t even seem like a magic teacher... is she really teaching my little sister well?
Sighing, he simply left the courtyard, leaving Vivianne behind.

A month had passed since the eting. Most of the continent was now aware of the new island that had appeared.
It currently hovered above the sea, bordering only one kingdom: Azure. It had given rise to many new adventurers and so new items that were now spreading across the continent.
There weren’t many complaints about the adventurers, since most of them belonged to races already known in that world.
On the coast, a small market began to erge around the portal.
This is how the currency circulation Khan wanted finally began.
Adventurers were the main driver of all this, due to rchants coming to sell items—many of which were new to the adventurers—and buying rare or unknown items from them in return.
Khan saw that he would only lose out if this continued, so he built a small city and implented taxes. However, he offered safety within the city and cheap housing.
It was still early, so profits were low and there were few residents.
---
Khan was sitting in his office, reading requests, with Krone—as always—by his side, waiting for any orders.
With a sigh, Khan thought,
My work only increases... the island’s adventurers’ and rchants’ guilds want a branch in the new city... I don’t see why not... but I’m curious about how they used to work...
Khan tried to recall their programming, but it had been too long, and he couldn’t rember.
Seeing that he wasn’t getting anywhere by forcing his mory, he simply asked Krone,
"Krone, do you know how the guilds operated before money started circulating?"
Krone seed to think for a mont, then answered,
"Yes, Master. The adventurers’ guild used scripts that granted certain abilities once a mission was completed. As for the rchants’ guild, their main source was bartering materials."
Hm... so for the adventurers’ guild, I need to replace that with money... the rchants’ guild is easier since they’re already using currency, so I don’t need to worry.
Khan didn’t care about those scripts because, although they granted abilities, due to Azathoth’s experints, every attempt to grant a skill always resulted in the recipient falling into a vegetative state. This happened due to Khan’s essence—only his creations could handle it.
It was also discovered through this experint that, eventually, as people had children, the scripts that granted abilities would beco useless to the island’s people as well.
Khan approved the creation of a branch in the new city, but under these conditions: no distribution of scripts upon completing missions, and no comrcial use of scripts by the rchants.
Seeing that it was all for the day, he stood up and said to Krone,
"I’m heading out now..."
Krone simply bowed slightly in agreent, and Khan left.

In the kingdom of Engracia, within the territory of Lantches, Darui was training with his sword.
As he struck the training dummy, he thought,
What have I done? Those moves from Khan weren’t in the novel... Did my appearance change his actions?
He began hitting the dummy harder now,
If they ally with Azure now, Engracia will be wiped off the map... damn it... Maybe it’s because Lantches wasn’t destroyed, so they never t the king of Engracia and couldn’t form an alliance...
His attacks grew faster, sweat beginning to show. After a while, he started to slow down.
Now sitting and soaked in sweat, he said,
"Status."
Na: Darui Lantches
Race: Human?
Level: 9
Strength: 20
Agility: 20
Dexterity: 22
Intelligence: 17
Points: 0
Sub-System: Duo
My stats are still really low... I’ve only leveled up recently, since there haven’t been any system missions... how am I supposed to destroy that psychopath like this?...
Darui lay down on the ground and began thinking of sothing that could stop him.
After a mont of thought, a mory ca to him.
The temples...
With that spark, he sat up again and started thinking fast,
How could I forget? In the novel, it was said that in each temple, there were seals capable of imprisoning even gods. Maybe that could work... and if not... then maybe I should just give up and try to avoid him...
With that idea in mind, he was about to get up when the system window appeared.
[Congratulations! The host has triggered the mission {Fall of Khan}. Find the 12 seals. Each one grants a skill as a reward.]
[Seals collected: 0/12]
Darui was stunned by what he saw,
What do you an I triggered a mission?
[The host managed to think of a way to seal Khan.]
Darui wasn’t satisfied with the answer and asked,
What do you really want? Is it sothing related to Khan?
The system window closed. A few seconds passed, and Darui considered giving up, but the screen reappeared with a strange ssage:
[Khan’s Attention.]
