Fang Zhen leaned forward, carefully examining the content displayed on the screen.

He had run tests before. Items that couldn't be used in Casting couldn't be dragged into the synthesis slot. For example, the Blood Essence Stone couldn't be moved there.

But the Smart Pills in his hand could be.

According to the Casting formula book, the Smart Pills were either the primary component or a required material. It had to be one of the two.

Fang Zhen rubbed his chin.

He didn't have that many items in his inventory. He could figure it out through a process of elimination.

Four or five minutes later, Fang Zhen successfully figured out what could be Cast with the Smart Pills.

It was the Energy Gel.

The mango-flavored Alchemy dicine that restored Spiritual Power and stamina.

Although he still hadn't figured out which was the primary component and which was the required material between the Energy Gel and the Smart Pills, it wasn't a major issue.

Fang Zhen felt an impulse.

He hadn't truly experinted with the Casting function since it appeared.

Now was a good opportunity.

He had the primary component and the required material. He wasn't short on rit Points. He could get Essence by decomposing useless Crystal Bones. For the blueprint, he could just use the Alchemist legacy template. He guessed it would use a 'purification' or 'fusion' type of Alchemy Array from his Alchemy knowledge.

All the conditions were t.

Fang Zhen didn't wait, imdiately dragging a useless Crystal Bone into the Essence decomposition slot.

He was decomposing the Crystal Bone from the turtle shell energy. Its defensive capabilities were extrely limited, not nearly as useful as the Gang Zan Seal. Its function was redundant and weaker, so it was no loss to decompose it.

Decomposing the Turtle Shell Shield Crystal Bone only required 5 rit Points.

Fang Zhen clicked confirm to decompose.

The Turtle Shell Shield Crystal Bone on his desk dissolved into motes of light, rapidly transforming from a physical object into an energy form before vanishing in front of his eyes.

On the Casting interface, Fang Zhen saw his Essence count change to 33 units.

'Not bad,' he thought with a slight nod.

Now that he had Essence, Fang Zhen dragged one unit of Energy Gel into the Casting slot and then added the Smart Pills. A prompt indicated that a two-pill dosage was sufficient. Following the prompt, he also spent 10 rit Points to select the Alchemist blueprint template.

The interface indicated that this Casting would require 11 units of Essence and 9 rit Points.

After Fang Zhen confird everything, the Cast button lit up.

He clicked confirm.

Instantly, two pills from the Smart Pills box on Fang Zhen's desk dissolved into motes of light.

At the sa ti, the nearby Energy Gel began to glow with a faint, hazy light.

The process only took a few seconds. The motes of light vanished, and everything returned to normal.

'Incredible,' Fang Zhen marveled.

He picked up the new Energy Gel but didn't notice any significant changes, except that its color had beco a bit deeper.

He placed his hand on the mouse and moved the cursor over the newly Cast Energy Gel.

A new description appeared.

"Energy Gel (Spirit Enhanced): More rapidly restores Spiritual Power. Also temporarily increases Spiritual Power by 2 points for 2 hours, after which Spiritual Power is temporarily reduced by 1 point below base for 2 hours."

'Oh?' Fang Zhen raised an eyebrow.

'It can temporarily boost my Spirit attribute?'

From his understanding, the new Energy Gel's attribute boost ant that if his current Spiritual Power was 13, taking the gel would temporarily raise it to 15. Then, after two hours, it would drop to 12. Two hours after that, it would return to his normal stat of 13.

This new potion was very useful to Fang Zhen.

An idea struck Fang Zhen. He found a Blood Essence Stone among his Extraordinary Items and held it in his hand.

This Blood Essence Stone contained the skill 'Violent Hypnosis'.

Fang Zhen really wanted to learn this skill, but he didn't et the requirent. The condition to learn it was [15 Spiritual Power]. Although he had 2 free attribute points, he wanted to add them all to his Constitution to get it to 20 first.

The Energy Gel (Spirit Enhanced) could solve this problem.

'I haven't tested it yet, but since it can temporarily boost my Spirit attribute, if I eat one to raise my Spiritual Power to 15 and then imdiately use the Blood Essence Stone: Violent Hypnosis, will that be enough to learn the skill permanently?'

'Once the skill is learned, I should still be able to use it even after my Spiritual Power drops back down.'

Fang Zhen was a man of action.

He swallowed the Energy Gel (Spirit Enhanced) in one gulp.

The gel quickly dissolved into a thick, mango-flavored liquid.

Fang Zhen felt waves of heat spreading through his body. His stamina and ntal state felt incredible.

At the sa ti, his mind felt exceptionally clear, his brain cells buzzing with activity as all sorts of inspirations and ideas surfaced.

He checked his character's basic information panel in the Dungeon Life Ga. His Spiritual Power was now 15 (13 2).

'Strike while the iron is hot!'

He selected the Blood Essence Stone: Violent Hypnosis with his mouse and clicked confirm to use it and learn the skill.

The Blood Essence Stone transford into a flash of crimson light and was absorbed into him.

The crimson light quickly entered Fang Zhen's mind and was absorbed.

A few seconds later, Fang Zhen opened his eyes.

He could already feel that he had learned the new ability.

The thod for using Violent Hypnosis was simple. He had to maintain a feeling of extre exertion in his will and then use that willpower to forcibly suppress a target. His consciousness would then, through sight or brainwaves, use ntal brute force to cram itself directly into the target's mind.

The "exertion of will" was a taphorical description. The experience of using it was a bit like getting vicious.

Feeling that he now possessed this skill, Fang Zhen couldn't help but smile.

How should he put it? This ability might not be that amazing in the dungeon worlds, as there were many powerhouses with high Spiritual Power. If he tried to forcibly hypnotize a target with stronger Spiritual Power than his own, he could suffer a backlash.

But in reality, Violent Hypnosis would be more than effective against at least ninety-five percent of the population.
