After making breakfast, Lin Feng went to call Zhang Yuxi and the children downstairs to eat.
Today, Zhang Yuxi officially started her vacation. She was going to take the third child to Modu to study music. If there was a performance, they might even make a trip to New York. After the third child's solo performance last ti, she had beco sowhat famous. There was even so dia coverage, although the article was very short.
The third child was a prodigy among her peers, but to stand out on a bigger stage, she needed absolute skill. Once she possessed that skill, she would amaze everyone and shake the music world. By then, the third child would truly gain recognition. However, it all depended on how much talent she truly had.
After breakfast, Lin Feng discussed the trip to Donghai Dao with Zhang Yuxi. An Lan had been longing for this for a long ti and was determined to take her child with her. Since Zhang Yuxi and the third child were going to Modu, the whole family might as well go and have so fun at Donghai Dao together. They decided to bring Miao Lang and his wife, too.
And just like that, a massive entourage prepared to head for Donghai Dao. They would be staying at the Chuxue Hotel with all expenses covered, as Lin Feng had already made arrangents.
Zhao Lizhen and Zhang Fuyong were tied up with work, much to their regret. They would have to wait until they had free ti. Thinking about it, it had been two or three years since they last visited.
By the ti Lin Feng, his wife and children, and the Miao Langs arrived at Donghai Dao, it was already night. Chen Xiaotong, An Lan, and the others would be an hour late. The staff selected from the i City Hotpot Restaurant had arrived that afternoon along with Tony and the others.
After dinner, the children were leaning against a massive fish tank, teasing the small fish inside. An Lan had been a bit tired, but once she reached her destination, she perked up again. After checking into the hotel, An Lan went to find Zhang Yuxi. Guo Guo and the four children were srized by the fish and refused to leave.
Looking at the neon lights glittering in the snow outside the window, An Lan sighed emotionally, "After so many years, I'm finally here!"
Zhang Yuxi offered a cruel reminder. "So what if you're here? You're pregnant. You can't join in the fun!"
An Lan's smile froze on her face.
Right, I'd almost forgotten I was pregnant.
Damn it, so much for the excitent.
An Lan was utterly dejected, especially as Zhang Yuxi rubbed salt in the wound by describing how incredibly fun the place was. She even ntioned that they had opened other attractions!
An Lan glared at Zhang Yuxi with a grim face. She was seriously considering whether their friendship was worth keeping.
"Why are you looking at
like that? Everything I said is true."
Unaware of their exchange, Lin Feng ca over and said, "They've also built a new high-end ski slope. I heard it's quite interesting."
Zhang Yuxi laughed. "An Lan can ski. She learned when she was abroad."
An Lan forced a smile and touched her belly, not feeling like talking.
Just then, the second child trotted over, as she still had so mories of the place. "Godmother, there's a slide over there! It's really, really long and so much fun!"
An Lan's tense face quickly softened into a smile. "Really? Have you been on it?"
"Not yet. I was too little before and couldn't, but I can this year!"
The fourth child ran over. "Godmother, there's also a cable car! It goes so, so high, and it's so fun!"
An Lan's mood lifted again. "Then let's go on them together later, okay?"
Tony and the others thought it best to go and greet Lin Feng. They truly hadn't expected him to be so wealthy. When they learned that Lin Feng owned the hotel, they were all stunned. Qin Xiaoan and the others from their club suffered from social anxiety and disliked such interactions. So, Tony went with the receptionist, Li Zi, to greet Lin Feng.
Lin Feng was preparing a late-night snack. "Have a seat," he said. "I'll be done in just a mont."
"Take your ti," Tony quickly replied. "I'm not in a hurry!"
The fourth child and the oldest were fond of Tony and dragged him to see the massive fish tank, claiming there were sharks inside. Tony had seen a fair bit of the world overseas, but even he couldn't stay calm when he saw an entire wall that was a fish tank, with a shark swimming happily back and forth inside. The receptionist, Li Zi, had a childlike nature and imdiately started playing with Guo Guo and the four children.
Lin Feng had made so porridge, as the children hadn't eaten much on their flight earlier. The hotel food didn't quite suit their tastes, so they had barely eaten.
They were going through a growth spurt; children often shot up in height the most during autumn and winter. Because of this, Lin Feng beca their de facto nutritionist during these seasons, carefully planning their als. Outdoor activities, sunbathing, and drinking milk—none of these could be neglected.
"Yuxi, you four, Guo Guo, ti for a snack!"
Guo Guo was staying with them, sleeping in the sa room as the boys. This allowed An Lan and Liu Bo to enjoy so rare ti alone and relish the peace and quiet.
Lin Feng asked Tony, "Want so? There's more in the pot."
"No, no," Tony said, waving his hands. "Li Zi and I just ca over to say hi to you all."
Lin Feng smiled. "Alright. Have fun, and when you're ready to leave, just go to the front desk. They'll book your tickets for you."
"Okay, you all enjoy your al. We'll be heading off now!"
"'Bye," Lin Feng said.
"Goodbye! Bye, kids!"
"Bye, Uncle Tony! Bye, Big Sister!"
Li Zi was feeling fabulous and even struck a pose in the elevator.
After the late-night snack, Guo Guo had no problem sleeping over. He didn't even ask for his parents and obediently went to bed. One room was for the boys, and the other was for the girls.
To keep her little princesses from being scared, Zhang Yuxi stayed with the second and third children until they fell asleep, only then returning to the master bedroom.
"Yuxi?"
"Mmm..."
Zhang Yuxi didn't say another word, simply diving directly under the covers.

Everyone went out to have fun!
The children insisted on going on the slide this ti, as they were all over 1.2 ters tall and could ride with adult supervision. After donning their helts and gear, the family set off, with Lin Feng in the front, Zhang Yuxi in the back, and the children sandwiched in the middle. The couple spent the entire afternoon taking the children up and down the slide. They played over and over, seemingly never tiring of it. Only when Lin Feng declared he was exhausted did the children agree to try sothing else.
There was ice skating and skiing available, with on-site coaching. The fearless eldest and fourth children decided to try ice skating. The second and third children went to the kids' playground with Guo Guo.
Rather than actual coaching, it was more about buying a set of gear and having a staff mber lead you through the experience. It wasn't sothing you could learn overnight; it took effort.
Exhausted, Zhang Yuxi sat resting in a makeshift shelter with Lin Feng keeping her company.
"Did you have fun?"
"I did!" Zhang Yuxi said, ordering a milk tea. "I was really scared at first, but then I got over it!"
Lin Feng's gaze shifted to the eldest and fourth children on the ice. There were many familiar faces from the comic club on the rink, and they were all skating quite proficiently.
Lin Feng wanted to try skiing. "Yuxi, is skiing hard to learn?"
"It shouldn't be too hard. An Lan learned the basics pretty quickly. You want to try?"
Lin Feng nodded. "Do you want to join?"
"No, you go ahead. I'll watch the kids from here..." She really didn't feel like exercising anymore; she just wanted to sit quietly for a while.
As if on cue, her good friend An Lan arrived to keep her company.
