Naomi tapped her foot impatiently as she held her phone to her ear. The call rang, but there was no answer. She tried again. Still nothing.

"Tsk. He must be in a eting," Naomi muttered, lowering her phone. She turned back to Eloise with a sharp glare. "But don’t think that ans you’re off the hook."

Eloise clutched her handbag tightly. "I told you, my father gave this card! Stop making a scene!"

Naomi took a step forward. "Then let see it again."

"No!" Eloise yanked her bag away.

That was enough for Naomi. Without hesitation, she reached for the purse, grabbing at the strap. "Hand it over!"

"Let go!" Eloise shrieked, twisting away. They struggled for control, the boutique staff and a few nearby shoppers watching in shock.

Lunara, who saw the chaotic scene, held onto Naomi’s arm, "Naomi, everyone is watching."

Naomi huffed but didn’t loosen her grip. "I don’t care. She’s holding onto sothing that doesn’t belong to her."

Eloise’s face twisted in frustration. "I said let go!" She gave a sudden, forceful tug, trying to wrench her handbag away.

The unexpected force made Naomi stagger slightly, and in the middle of it all, Lunara, who had been standing too close, lost her balance. Her shoulder hit the edge of a display rack before her temple collided with the sharp corner. A sharp sting spread through her skull, and a warm trickle of blood ran down her skin.

A sharp gasp filled the air.

Naomi’s eyes widened in horror. "Lunara!"

Eloise’s breath ca in quick, panicked gasps as she took in the sight of Lunara clutching her bleeding temple. The boutique staff was already scrambling, their murmurs growing louder. Naomi whipped her head toward Eloise, her expression darkening.

"You—"

But before Naomi could grab her again, Eloise, shaking in fear, did the only thing that ca to mind.

She ran.

Bolting past the stunned onlookers, she pushed open the boutique door and disappeared into the crowd outside.

"Hey! Get back here!" Naomi shouted, but she didn’t chase after her. Instead, she turned back to Lunara, whose hand was still pressed to her temple, blood seeping through her fingers.

Naomi’s heart pounded. "Let’s go to hospital, you are bleeding a lot."

Lunara shook her head lightly, though the movent made her wince. "It’s not that bad..."

Naomi frowned. "Not that bad? Lunara, your face is literally bleeding! We need to get you checked."

The boutique staff, who had been frozen in shock, finally snapped into action. One of them hurried over with a first-aid kit. "Miss, please sit down. We have so bandages—"

Naomi waved them off. "Forget the bandages, we’re going to the hospital."

"But—"

"No buts!" Naomi grabbed Lunara’s wrist and pulled her toward the exit. "If my brother finds out I let you walk around with a head injury, he’ll actually kill ."

Lunara chuckled as she shook her head, "He won’t and he wouldn’t care, Naomi."

Naomi clicked her tongue. "You really don’t know my brother, do you?" She tightened her grip on Lunara’s wrist. "Trust , he cares more than you think."

Lunara let out a small sigh but didn’t argue further. The bleeding hadn’t stopped, and the pulsing pain at her temple was starting to make her dizzy.

As they stepped outside, Naomi quickly flagged down a car. "Hospital. Fast," she told the driver as they slid into the backseat.

Lunara leaned her head against the window, closing her eyes for a mont. "This is too much trouble over a little scratch..."

Naomi shot her a look. "If you call that a scratch one more ti, I’m sending Eryx a picture."

Lunara groaned. "Please don’t."

Naomi smirked. "Then sit tight and behave."

Lunara swayed slightly as she tried to sit up straight. She blinked a few tis, her vision blurring. "Naomi... I feel dizzy."

Naomi’s heart dropped. She tightened her grip on Lunara’s wrist. "No, no, no... don’t do this. Stay with !" She gently shook Lunara’s arm. "Open your eyes wide and focus on , okay?"

Lunara tried to nod, but the world tilted.

Naomi turned to the driver, her voice urgent. "Please drive fast! Fast!"

The driver, startled by the panic in her voice, pressed the pedal and sped the car imdiately. Naomi prayed hard while pressing a tissue to Lunara’s bleeding temple.

"Just a little longer," Naomi murmured, more to herself than to Lunara. "We’ll be at the hospital soon."

The car screeched to a stop in front of the hospital’s ergency entrance. Naomi flung the door open and rushed out, pulling Lunara with her.

"Help! She hit her head!" Naomi called out, her voice sharp with urgency. A nurse imdiately ran over with a wheelchair.

As Naomi helped Lunara into the seat, her phone suddenly rang. She glanced at the screen and Eryx’s na appeared

Her breath was heavy, "Great, just perfect timing."

Naomi ignored the call and focused on keeping up with the nurse, who was pushing Lunara toward the ergency room.

Lunara’s fingers clutched the armrest weakly. "I’m fine..." she mumbled, though her face had gone pale.

As Lunara was led into the examination room, Naomi kept close by her side, her heart still racing. A nurse gestured for Lunara to sit on the bed while a doctor examined her injury.

Naomi bit her lip, watching anxiously. "It’s not too bad, right? There won’t be a scar?"

The doctor smiled reassuringly. "It’s a shallow wound. As long as we clean it properly and take care of it, it should heal just fine."

Naomi exhaled in relief. "Good. Because she’s supposed to be pretty."

Lunara let out a small chuckle. "Gee, thanks."

Naomi crossed her arms. "You know what I an! I’d never forgive Eloise if she ruined your face."

The doctor applied a numbing agent before carefully cleaning the wound. "It might be a little sore, but you’ll be fine."

Naomi nodded, but before she could say anything else, her phone buzzed again. She sighed, already knowing who it was.

This ti, she sighed and picked up. "What?"

Eryx’s voice was sharp. "You were the one who called earlier. Why aren’t you answering?"

"Because I’m busy," Naomi retorted, already bracing for the storm.

There was a pause. "Where are you?"

"The hospital."

Silence.

Then, in a low, controlled voice, he asked, "Who’s hurt?"

Naomi exhaled. "Lunara."

Another silence.

"I’m on my way." Then the call cut off.
