"What are you doing?!" Lunara raised her leg this ti, ready to land a kick if Eryx ca any closer.

But it was useless. With ease, Eryx caught her ankle, gently but firmly lowering it back down before leaning in. "The first step to becoming an official husband and wife is to sleep in the sa room."

Before she could protest, he scooped her up effortlessly.

"Put down, you—!" She yelped, gripping onto his shoulders for balance.

Eryx smirked, walking steadily toward the door. "Two years apart... we need to start where we left off, don’t you think?"

Lunara’s eyes widened in panic. "You abandoned after the marriage, and now you’re saying that?!"

Eryx glanced down at her, his smirk fading slightly. "Then let make it up to you... starting tonight."

Lunara’s heart pounded harder. "No! Put down! I want a divorce!"

Her words made Eryx freeze for a mont, but then, after a brief pause, he let out a low chuckle. "Funny... considering you just insisted you’re not my wife earlier. So, tell , Wifey... how can you ask for a divorce if you were never married to in the first place?"

Lunara clenched her jaw, realizing her mistake too late. "That’s—that’s not the point!" she sputtered, wriggling in his arms.

Eryx let out a low chuckle, his grip on her firm yet effortless. "Oh, but it is. You just admitted it, Wifey."

Her face burned in frustration. "Stop calling that!"

"But it suits you so well," he mused, carrying her through the doorway without a care for her protests. "And since you’re so eager to talk about divorce, shouldn’t we at least live together first? Give our marriage a real chance before throwing it away?"

Lunara’s eyes widened. "You’re insane!"

Eryx rely smirked. "You married , so what does that say about you?"

His words made Lunara speechless and Eryx continued carrying Lunara through the big living room before heading up the stairs. His action was looked at by all the maids but all they could do was look down and stay silenced.

Lunara sighed heavily in frustration. "Put down, you bast—"

"Careful," Eryx cut her off with a smirk. "You’re going to hurt yourself before we even get to our room."

Just as they reached the top of the stairs, Naomi turned the corner and froze at the sight before her. "Eryx! What are you doing? Put her down!" she exclaid, rushing toward them.

Eryx barely spared her a glance. "Stay out of this, sister."

"But—"

"If you want to take back all your cards and strip away all your privileges, go ahead, keep talking," he warned smoothly, his voice calm but firm.

Naomi’s mouth opened, but no words ca out. She clenched her fists, glaring at him before sighing in irritation. "You’re threatening ?"

Eryx tilted his head slightly before adjusting Lunara’s position. "Well... not really. Just a soft reminder."

"Put her down! I don’t care about your cards. I can ask Mom for money," she snapped, reaching for Lunara, but Eryx quickly dodged her hand.

Eryx let out a low chuckle, effortlessly shifting Lunara in his arms as he stepped back. "Oh? Then maybe I should have a little chat with Mom too."

"Like Mom will listen to you..." she shot back, reaching for Lunara once again. But before she could even get close, Eryx smoothly dodged her hand, his smirk growing.

Naomi wasn’t about to give up that easily. She stomped after them, grabbing onto Eryx’s arm in a last attempt to stop him. "Lunara, kick him! Bite him! Do sothing!"

"I’m trying!" Lunara struggled, but Eryx only tightened his hold, carrying her with infuriating ease.

Eryx sighed, his patience thinning. "Naomi, unless you want to personally inform Mom about that secret boyfriend of yours...you know, the one who you tried hard to hide, I suggest you step aside."

Naomi’s face was drained of color. "How did you—"

"Know?" Eryx sneered, tilting his head slightly. "That was easy, Young Miss. I could even bring him here right now to et Mom if you insist."

Naomi’s breath was heavy. Her nails dug into her palms as she clenched her fists. "You wouldn’t dare."

Eryx chuckled, adjusting his grip on Lunara. "Wouldn’t I?" His voice was calm, but the underlying threat was clear. "You know better than that, Naomi."

She gritted her teeth, her shoulders stiff with frustration. "You’re the worst."

"And yet, I always get what I want," Eryx replied smoothly before turning toward the stairs. "Now, if you’ll excuse , my wife and I have things to discuss."

Naomi could only watch helplessly as he carried Lunara away, her mind racing for another way to stop him.

Eryx stepped into the room, kicking the door shut behind him. With asured ease, he placed Lunara onto the bed, it was not too harsh, but not gentle either. Just enough to remind her that he was in control.

Lunara quickly scrambled up, pressing her back against the headboard. She then crossed her arms in an X over her chest, which rose and fell heavily. "You can’t just—"

Eryx arched a brow at her dramatic reaction, his smirk deepening. "I can. And I did," he said smoothly, slipping his hands into his pockets.

Lunara’s glare sharpened, but she refused to lower her arms. "What do you even want from ?" Her breath was still uneven, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Well... two years. Let’s tell our stories." He suddenly sat down at the end of the bed, making Lunara instinctively pull her legs closer. His gaze darkened slightly as he leaned back on his hands. "Like why you never tried to find or call for the past two years?"

"So... I was the one who had to call you? The one who forced into marriage and then disappeared like nothing happened?" Lunara scoffed, her arms still crossed tightly over her chest. "You didn’t even bother to check if I was alive."

Eryx leaned back slightly, his expression unreadable. "I had my reasons."

Lunara let out a bitter laugh. "Oh, of course. And let guess, now that you’re finally bored, you suddenly rembered you had a wife?"

His lips twitched, as if amused by her defiance. "Nah, not bored. Maybe, interested?" he admitted shalessly.

Lunara’s eyes narrowed. "Interested? In what? Making my life miserable again?"

Eryx tilted his head, studying her like she was a fascinating puzzle. "More like... curious. Like, what do you have that made my mother take action?"
