The marriage certificate did list the nas of the two people intending to marry. A month ago, Madam Tang indeed had one issued, at that ti planning to get one for Tang Chuxia and Hu Mingcheng. No one expected so much drama to unfold afterward, making the certificate certainly unusable.

Now that Auntie Fatty ntioned it, it actually wasn’t a big problem.

Just changing a na, after all, they hadn’t officially registered the marriage, so there was no record in the files, which ant there was a lot of room for modification.

Auntie Fatty quickly finished writing it, and Tang Chuxia handed it to Gu Beihuai. Gu Beihuai folded it up neatly and bowed to thank Auntie Fatty.

"Hey, it’s a bit early for such formalities, wait until your wedding to pay your respects to !"

Auntie Fatty cheerfully saw them off and then turned to remark to her husband, "Of all the people on our street, those two created the most ruckus. Who’d have thought they’d actually end up together?"

Her husband chuckled as he played with his mynah bird.

"Isn’t that what you call a bickering pair of lovebirds!"

After Tang Chuxia and Gu Beihuai left Auntie Fatty’s place, Beihuai had to et with so old leaders and asked Tang Chu to go ho, promising to take her to get their marriage certificate first thing the next morning.

Tang Chuxia grabbed Gu Beihuai’s hand, "If you could also find out who exactly wants to marry , and why, that would be even better!"

Gu Beihuai’s face darkened.

He grasped Tang Chuxia’s slender waist, pushing her into a corner and drew close to her cheek.

"What? You want to make comparisons?"

Tang Chuxia giggled, not at all afraid of what Beihuai might do to her.

"Yeah, what if the other guy is pretty great? Like, having harder abs than you, better at cheering up, or more handso than you, I might just be tempted, you know?"

After she finished speaking, Gu Beihuai leaned down and kissed her.

This was unexpected for Tang Chuxia. Even though it was dark, they were still outside—since when had Beihuai beco so wild?

Especially since his expression was kind of funny.

Tang Chuxia almost suffocated from the kiss, it took a good while before they could part.

"Are you a dog?" Gu Beihuai had actually bitten her.

Her accusation was t with a cold snort from Beihuai, "Rember, you’ll be mine soon, so stop thinking about other n!"

Tang Chuxia scoffed, "Spare the lecture, you were the one who said you weren’t interested in before. I was supposed to have a big blind date tonight, too bad!"

Gu Beihuai really wished he could swell Tang Chuxia’s lips with a kiss to keep her from speaking.

How could she be so bold as to say anything that ca to mind?

Seeing Gu Beihuai’s expression turn ever more unsightly, Tang Chuxia quickly covered up with a silly laugh, "I’m going ho now, you better hurry off to your business!"

Gu Beihuai pinched Tang Chuxia’s earlobe, leaning close to her ear to warn, "Just you wait, if you dare talk nonsense again, I won’t mind making you regret being a woman!"

Tang Chuxia uttered an "Oh," and promptly grabbed Gu Beihuai’s belt, hoisting him up.

"Big bro, I’ve never once regretted being a woman!"

She saw Gu Beihuai’’s face turn pitch black, and she dropped him and ran.

She ran as fast as lightning, fearing that if she were a mont too late, a hungry wolf might pounce from behind.

Even so, she could still hear Gu Beihuai’s roar behind her, "Tang Chuxia, you’re done for!!!!!!"

Tang Chuxia scoffed, just verbal threats, as if she’d be scared!

Next ti, if that dog of a man dared to make harsh words again, she’d pull off a Thomas spin on him.

As soon as Tang Chuxia entered the house, she saw the expression on her future third sister-in-law and couldn’t help but feel sorry for her.

It was clear how much the future third sister-in-law truly cared for Third Brother.

"The marriage issue is solved, is there any news from Third Brother?" Tang Chuxia asked, to which the future sister-in-law shook her head, "I’ve just contacted everyone possible, no news, your brother’s situation is now top-secret!"

Afterward, Tang Jianjun and the rest had the sa feedback, now that Third Brother Tang was too far away from them; it was unrealistic to find him, the key point being that due to his special identity, they couldn’t contact him at all.

Madam Tang had a severe headache but still told everyone to rest. Since they couldn’t contact him for the ti being, it was actually a good thing, at least it ant there would be no accidents.

Tang Chuxia also believed this was the case.

How many people actually fell asleep that night, nobody knew, but early the next day, Tang Chuxia woke up to find Gu Beihuai standing in front of her, sowhat slow to react.

She looked at the door and then at the windows.

Gu Beihuai said impatiently, "I walked in through the door!"

He still knew how he used to enter before.

Tang Chuxia pointed her chin towards the door, "Aren’t you going out?"

Gu Beihuai didn’t understand what she ant. Tang Chuxia sighed, "I need to change my clothes, okay?"

Gu Beihuai’s face, rarely showing embarrassnt, hurriedly stepped out.

After Tang Chuxia had changed and ca out, she saw Gu Beihuai was already speaking with Madam Tang. Seeing her, he walked up, "Let’s go get the marriage certificate first!"

Tang Chuxia let out a sound of surprise; she looked at the stead buns on the table, she hadn’t eaten yet.

Madam Tang grabbed two, wrapped them in waxed paper, "Eat them on the way!"

Tang Chuxia: ...

Was there really a need to hurry so much?

Tang Chuxia felt helpless, but still was led out of the house by Gu Beihuai.

"What did your uncle by marriage say?" Tang Chuxia rembered Gu Beihuai ntioned he would find out about Third Brother Tang, took a bite of her stead bun, and finally asked.

Gu Beihuai shook his head, "He doesn’t know the specifics, just that your Third Brother is on a highly confidential mission and currently can’t make contact with the outside world."

Gu Beihuai actually knew the details, but he couldn’t reveal them to Tang Chuxia.

Knowing that Third Brother Tang wasn’t in any life-threatening danger was a relief for Tang Chuxia. It was normal not to be able to make contact; it was always like this when they were on a mission.

It was just that Gu Beihuai saw a small stead bun on her mouth, looking puzzled.

"You probably haven’t eaten breakfast either, right?" Tang Chuxia said casually, but Gu Beihuai didn’t take it lightly.

He was staring at the stead bun in front of him, and seeing that he made no move, she directly stuffed it into his mouth.

Such a big man, dawdling like this, she looked down on it slightly.

The stead buns weren’t big, just one bite each.

After Gu Beihuai finished, he then asked, "Have you lost your mind?"

Tang Chuxia had never been so nice to him since they were children.

Tang Chuxia let out an "ayya," "You helped look for information, naturally I should give you so reward. Besides, we’re about to beco a family, what’s there to fear?"

It seed quite reasonable.

Yet, Gu Beihuai still felt a bit uncomfortable.

He wasn’t used to being treated this way by soone.

The marriage registration was handled at the Civil Affairs Departnt of the Sub-district Office, which actually often ant the Sub-district Office’s clerks took care of it.

So when the two of them arrived at the Sub-district Office, Auntie Fatty had already prepared the forms for them and was smilingly extending her hand.

Tang Chuxia didn’t understand, but Gu Beihuai took several packets of candy from the bag he’d been carrying all along and handed them over to Auntie Fatty.

"Huai knows the rules!" Auntie Fatty shared the candies with her colleagues before turning to Tang Chuxia, "You’re getting married just like this? It feels a bit unreal!"

Tang Chuxia didn’t know whether to laugh or cry; she was getting married, why was Auntie Fatty making such a remark?
