The price of a sleepless night was high. Rong Yan looked at her dark circles in the mirror after taking a bath, letting out a sigh. If she continued to indulge like this, she’d soon have fine lines.
"...I rember soone once said they bought skincare products. I wonder if there are any eye masks," Rong Yan mumbled to herself, searching around.
She casually opened the drawer under the sink and saw it filled with a variety of skincare products neatly arranged in a row.
La r, Fairy Water, Ex-Boyfriend Mask... Almost every slightly better brand was represented in that drawer.
She rarely used skincare products, and even if she did, she would use the Shiseido products she bought herself, which were part of Shiseido’s mid-range series.
She’d never thought about buying brands like La r.
Yet, Li Shengxiao had actually prepared all of them for her!
Rong Yan picked up the skincare products one by one and noticed that not only had he prepared them, but all of them were dated within the past two months.
They’d been living there for half a year, which ant he periodically had soone replace the skincare products in the drawer.
Rong Yan rummaged through the drawer of skincare products Li Shengxiao bought for her and found an eye mask. She tore it open and stuck it under her eyes, then quickly did a facial treatnt. To be sure, applying good stuff to your face felt different. Her cheeks were overly dry when she returned, but shortly after applying serum and the eye mask, the tight feeling on her face improved significantly.
She wrapped herself in a nightgown, with the eye mask on her face, and returned to the bedroom.
The certain soone in the bedroom had long gone to the company. Rong Yan threw herself on the bed, pulled out her phone, and found that it had several missed calls while she was in the shower.
She imdiately dialed back.
"Beep..."
After two rings, the call was answered, and Estelle’s voice ca through, "Rong Yan, why aren’t you here yet?"
"I..." She was just about to say she wasn’t going today.
Estelle’s impatient voice hurriedly interrupted, "Hurry up and get here, we’ve been reported!"
"?"
"Soone reported us for illegal operations, tax evasion, unauthorized use of others’ labor, and more. The situation is very complicated, and the law enforcent has already arrived. You need to co quickly! I’ll wait for you."
Rong Yan peeled off the eye mask from her face, grabbed the clothes beside her, and told her, "Estelle, don’t worry. I’ll be right there!"

"Alright."

Half an hour later, Rong Yan arrived at Bright Starry Sky in a hurry.
As she exited the elevator, she saw all the company staff pushed out, each with a frightened look, standing there bewildered, anxiously peering inside.
Soone spotted her and imdiately shouted with relief, "Rong Yan!"
It was Zhu Zhu.
Zhu Zhu, with red-rimd eyes, rushed over and grabbed her, "Rong Yan, you’re finally here. Please go have a look."
As she passed by others, they looked at her with expectant eyes, like drowning people seeing a lifeline, each one elated, "Mr. Rong."
"Mr. Rong."
"Mr. Rong."
Rong Yan greeted each of them, urging calm as Zhu Zhu dragged her to the door.
She had imagined the company’s situation on her way here, but the impact of seeing it was far greater—desks that were tidy every day were turned upside down, scattered docunts covered the floor, and law enforcent personnel trampled over them as they walked back and forth, stepping on the papers each ti they passed by.
