Chapter 1610: Chapter 1611: Just Dump the Jerk

Gu Linxi’s lips twitched as she absently stared at the neon lights ahead.

Five minutes later, their car reached the traffic light junction. A motorcycle lay on the greenbelt, and a taxi was blocking the front of it. Seeing them co over, the taxi driver jogged over and chattered with her driver, who then gave the driver so money, thanked him, and let her out of the car.

Rolling down the window, she propped up by her hand and said, “Little girl, Uncle has to do business, I can only help you this far. Rember to talk things over with your boyfriend. No matter what, the child is innocent. If you can live a good life for the child, then live well; no one ntion today’s matter anymore. If he really refuses to take responsibility, just do as I taught you, don’t let yourself suffer. Life is still long, there’s no need to have a life-and-death struggle over a man. I’m leaving now.”

“Thank you.” After getting out of the car, Gu Linxi closed the door and thanked him.

Apart from being talkative, the driver was quite kind. He waved his hand, “I wasn’t helping you for free; what are you thanking for? Rember to talk properly, I’m leaving now.”

“Alright.”

The taxi hit the gas pedal and sped off in a cloud of dust under the green light.

Gu Linxi walked to the motorcycle that was down in the greenbelt. The man, wearing a helt, had fallen there along with the motorcycle.

Fortunately, the greenbelt was soft enough; it seed like he wasn’t injured.

She let out a sigh and walked over, her chest full of complicated emotions, leaving her unsure of how to speak to him.

“Are you alright?”

Cui Jiangjing punched the ground, seemingly trying to avoid her awkwardly. “Damn it! I could have finished the run!”

Who knew what wind blew the taxi that stopped in front of him?

Gu Linxi squatted down and took off the helt from his head. The helt she adored was stained with green grass stains, a ss just like the handso face beneath it.

His fine hair was damp with sweat, strands clinging to his forehead, his brows tightly knitted, complexion pale. He looked a far cry from the elegant and carefree Doctor Cui at Kangfei Hospital, almost like an awkward young lad.

He probably wasn’t paying attention when he fell; a branch scratched a thin bloody line on his neck, which was striking against his pale skin.

Gu Linxi placed down the helt with a terrible expression, her gaze complex.

He finally caught his breath, his face as white as paper, his eyes fixed on her. “Why are you here?”

“…You weren’t trailing all the way, were you?”

The conflicting emotions inside Gu Linxi turned into a wisp of smoke when she t his suspicious gaze. The veins on her forehead pulsed, and she helped him up. “I’m not that bored!”

When Cui Jiangjing sat up, he stretched an abrasion on his back, grimacing in pain. He endured it, clutching onto Gu Linxi, “This ti was an accident, it doesn’t count! I’ll co again tomorrow, and you can’t say the bet is off.”

Gu Linxi looked down at her wrist clutched tightly by him and then looked up at him, her expression complex once more. “You’re still thinking about this?”

Cui Jiangjing didn’t understand what she ant. “What else should I think about? You finally agreed to bet with . I was so close to winning, I can’t think about anything else!”

He pulled on the woman’s slender wrist, his gaze firm. “This ti was an accident, it doesn’t count!”

Gu Linxi turned her eyes away and gave him a tug. “Get up, co with to the hospital.”

“No, not going, you have to promise first.” He refused to get up, acting shalessly.
