"You!" Su Xiansui was so furious her blood boiled. "Does your mouth always have to be so venomous?"
Rong Yan replied lazily, "Even a venomous mouth needs soone to owe it."
Was she implying she deserved a scolding?!
Su Xiansui’s face instantly turned ashen. Her fingers tightly gripped her black-gray scarf, squeezing it so hard it nearly got twisted into a wrinkled ball like pickled vegetables.
This woman was absolutely insufferable!
The woman her senior liked couldn’t possibly be her.
Soone like Rong Yan who only had her looks, a bad personality, a sharp tongue, and a bunch of murky history with her adoptive parents—only her cousin could be foolish enough to fall for her. Everyone else, with their eyes wide open, wouldn’t be deceived by such a woman’s exterior!
"Senior, we..." Just as Su Xiansui started to speak—
The man leaning against the wall suddenly straightened up, swiftly extinguishing his smoldering cigarette with his toe, and asked Rong Yan, "What brings you here?"
Rong Yan hesitated for a mont before candidly answering, "I invested in a small company and arranged a collaboration with Lemon Entertainnt. Just grabbed a al together."
"You invested in a company? Bet it’s ultimately my cousin’s investnt with your na slapped on it," Su Xiansui coldly mocked from the side.
Rong Yan’s enchanting eyes glanced at her and retorted with lethal indifference, "Even if it is, it’s none of your business. First off, it’s not your money. Secondly... even if it didn’t carry my na, yours would still be nowhere near!"
Sure enough, Su Xiansui’s face turned another shade darker. Her eyes burned with rage as though she could shoot fire, but she wasn’t skilled at insults and ultimately squeezed out a re, "Shaless!"
Rong Yan raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "Thanks for the complint! Thick-skinned, and I make it work. Bla ?"
"You..." Su Xiansui was on the verge of losing her composure twice in a row, gripping her scarf tightly as if she was one step away from charging forward and sparking a fight.
Rong Yan didn’t take the girl’s petty verbal squabbling too seriously. Glancing at her phone, she said to Zhong Yuye, "My manager’s still waiting for to head back. I won’t keep you two any longer, I’ll be off. Let’s chat another ti when there’s a chance."
Zhong Yuye walked to her side, standing tall, and said naturally, "I’ll go with you."
"Huh?" Rong Yan looked genuinely startled, as if taken completely off guard.
He lowered his gaze, his expression unreadable. "I know the boss of Lemon Entertainnt, I’ll stop by and say hi."
So that’s what this was about.
"Oh." Rong Yan didn’t overthink it, flashing him a smile as she replied confidently, "Alright, let’s go together then."
She walked ahead, half leading the way and half chatting casually with Zhong Yuye.
Zhong Yuye consistently kept pace with her, occasionally sparking a new conversation topic.
Su Xiansui stared at their backs, and for so reason, the absurd thought in her heart grew stronger. Her complexion turned pale, and she bit her lip, glaring ahead. After a mont’s thought, she stamped her foot and hurried to catch up—

Inside the private room, the atmosphere was lively and bustling. Rong Yan pushed the door open and imdiately spotted Estelle surrounded by several handso n. Judging by her dreamy expression, she’d likely had more than her share of drinks.
Wang Ying and Ai Wen were engrossed in discussing the male lead for "Little Luck." Hearing movent at the door, they turned back and saw Rong Yan, who’d been "restroom-dodging" for quite a while.
Ai Wen instantly lit up with a smile, stood up, and waved eagerly, "Mr. Rong, co on over! We were just talking about you. Why’d you take so long? Everyone’s been waiting, you’ve got to down a drink to make up for it."
Rong Yan put on a professional smile and stepped into the room, "Ran into a friend, just had a brief chat."
"A friend?"
He barely finished speaking before catching sight of Zhong Yuye, who walked in after her. Ai Wen imdiately sprang up from his seat to greet him, his expression a mix of surprise and delight, "Mr. Zhong, what wind brought you here?"
