(Arata)

Camilla was being extra nice to . A cunning and shrewd woman like her doesn’t just get to change their colours suddenly. There was sothing on her mind.

From her words, I had guessed Karsten hadn’t inford her that we were living together. We weren’t living together, but in a sense, we were, at least that was implied for the people who believed we were a real couple.

The irony of the situation tasted like ashes in my mouth as we settled for dinner.

Camilla spoke and spoke and I mostly politely nodded or gave small answers while nibbling on the food.

Karsten’s sharp gaze found many tis and I observed he was noticing how much food I had on my plate. He didn’t comnt, though; just silently added more to it, which I hardly ate.

Thankfully, dinner was over soon, and we wished her goodnight before hurrying upstairs.

I tiredly climbed the fancy stairs. My gaze lifted to the place where we had sucked each other off, and the tears bubbled up in my eyes, and my shoulders slouched, yet again.

That seed like a lifeti away. While I had been slowly going under his trance, he only satisfied his lust.

"My room," Karsten quietly called out from behind and I changed my direction to his room. Once we were both inside, I turned to face him and cleared my throat.

"I am not sleeping in bed with you. We might be in the sa room but don’t think about touching ." Laying everything out clearly for him.

Karsten was elegantly opening his cufflinks, his obsidian eyes flew towards and stayed on my face.

"I will take the couch. Don’t worry."

"Good." Feeling unsettled by his gaze, I moved away, heading towards the walk-in closet. I was sure Asbela must have moved my clothes here.

Checking the area where my clothes were supposed to be hung, I found she had only brought in the sexy style nightgowns with plunging necks, see-through soft net and silken ones.

Damnit! Where were my comfy thick night suits with strawberries?

I couldn’t wear these in front of this cold monster. He would think I was trying to seduce him.

"You want to use the bathroom first, or if you need ti. Can I do it?" Karsten called out from outside, not stepping in.

"You go ahead." The door clicked shut after a few seconds and an idea erupted in my brain.

Quickly I shifted to his side and began rampaging through his clothes and stuff.

Everything had been so immaculately placed in his room-sized walk-in closet. From his wristwatches to his platinum and diamond cufflinks and three-piece suits. Even his underwears were neatly placed in a drawer which I accidentally opened.

Sothing peeked from amidst them, the colour not sothing Karsten would choose. Reaching in, I dug it out with my thumb and my mouth opened in disbelief.

My strawberry shorts...

The ones who had so conveniently disappeared when I had offered them to him. He fucking kept them.

I knew it...a warm, tingling sensation word its way into my heart, but I squashed it as quickly as it had begun.

Staring at it with mixed feelings, I tucked it back to where I had found it. My heart zigzagged inside my chest.

Why would he keep my shorts? Just why?

Maybe he had that cringe fetish of keeping the shorts of won he slept with.

Ewww! I felt so grossed out at the thought but there was no other ladies’ lingerie there, just my shorts, safely tucked between his.

There were aspects of his personality too conflicting for to understand.

Turning away, I grabbed one of the satin nightwear and began to change. It consisted of a cowl-neck red cami, which ca to my knees, and a silken robe of the sa ruby shade.

Staring at myself in the full-length mirror, I knew I definitely needed to speak with Asbela. The poor girl must be thinking she was doing a favour. Not realising that the relationship had been killed by her master even before it had begun.

Quietly, I stepped out and Karsten chose the sa mont to exit the bathroom. Wrapped only in a towel which sat low on his narrow waist, he had his damp hair curtaining his endlessly dark but captivating eyes.

I gulped, pausing in my tracks.

The water droplets trickled down the hard and narrowed planes of his torso.

Unwantedly, I stared.

Before my gaze would drop below to where his towel was; I ca to my senses and pulled my eyes away.

"Can you not parade around like that until I am here?" I hissed, hoping my cheeks weren’t turning red.

He paused; his hungry gaze, which reminded of a starved panther, wouldn’t waver from as he answered in his deep, throaty voice.

"You were in the closet, I didn’t want to disturb you." His gaze dipped to my breasts and I quickly grabbed my robe and fastened it shut. The man did have a point though.

Giving another heated look, he moved away towards the closet and shut the door behind him.

I breathed out in relief and turned towards his monstrous bed.

It was luxurious as well as gigantic and was all going to be mine.

The thought brought a smile to my face. The least he could do was sleep on the couch after breaking my heart like that.

Hopefully, he will have a restless sleep. I jumped on his waterbed and was soon nestled between his soft pillows and cosy quilt.

What a blessing after a tiring day. I closed my eyes and tried to rest.

Suddenly, the thought that I was in this room alone with him, and yet I felt no fear, erupted in my brain.

I still wasn’t sure if he had abducted a child and threatened Andy’s family but the heart didn’t agree.

Maybe it was the emotional trauma, the feigned emotions or sothing I didn’t know. But sohow I knew he wouldn’t hurt . He would just hurt my heart, which he already had, so nothing left there.

And I had already decided I wasn’t going to cry or lose more sleep on him so I just closed my eyes and let the sleep take into its arms.
