In the midst of the confusion, the sound of soone’s footsteps was particularly sharp and definitive. The female staff mbers in the crew, upon hearing the news, all stared eagerly at the approaching figure.

Accompanied by bodyguards and a secretary throughout, the man, dressed all in black with sunglasses on and an expressionless face, appeared in the hallway. The closest filming location was just a few steps away, yet he kept his gaze fixed ahead and walked past without acknowledging the presence of anyone else.

"Mr. ng, the person is inside."

The secretary adjusted the black-frad glasses on his nose and, with an equally blank expression, knocked on the door of the lounge.

"Who is it?"

The assistant glanced at Hua Tiantian, worried that Huang Shan might send soone to stir up trouble, and cautiously opened the door.

"Is Miss Hua Tiantian inside?"

The secretary, still expressionless, looked at the assistant. She blinked in surprise and nodded. "She is inside."

"Please step aside. Our boss would like to have a word with Miss Hua Tiantian."

The astonished assistant stared at the man entering the room, his arms spread wide as if to block him, and said in confusion, "Who are you? You can’t just barge in like that. Do you know this is a film crew’s lounge? It’s not a place where just anyone can walk in."

Hua Tiantian noticed the assistant arguing with soone and stood up in curiosity, staring at the unfamiliar man. She asked, puzzled, "Excuse , who are you? I don’t know you."

"It’s okay that Miss Hua Tiantian doesn’t know . My boss wants to have a chat with you."

With that, the secretary stepped aside, and the man with sunglasses entered through the door.

Hua Tiantian watched him with curiosity. When she saw the man, her eyes widened in disbelief as she covered her mouth. "ng Yan?"

The man removed his sunglasses, revealing a strikingly handso face with cold, sculpted features. His gaze shifted to Hua Tiantian, noticing her swollen cheek. He frowned slightly and then leaned toward the secretary, whispering sothing.

"Yes, Mr. ng. I’ll handle it imdiately."

Hua Tiantian watched as the secretary hurriedly left. She glanced at the assistant and spoke softly, "You should leave too."

"Do you really know him?" The assistant couldn’t help but ask, now worried.

Hua Tiantian nodded. The emotions churning inside her were beyond words. Seeing ng Yan sitting upright and imposing, her first thought was to send the assistant away. Who knows, this lounge might turn into ground zero for drama soon, and she didn’t want unrelated people to get caught up in it.

The spacious lounge was now left with only ng Yan and Hua Tiantian.

Hua Tiantian cautiously studied ng Yan, feeling an imnse pressure. She couldn’t help but wonder — isn’t he incredibly busy? His massive corporation depends on his single-handed control. How could such a busy person show up in the crew’s lounge? No matter how she thought about it, it made no sense.

"I heard you got slapped over a dozen tis for the shoot today."

"How do you know?"

Hua Tiantian’s eyes widened in shock as she looked at ng Yan, completely unaware of who could have revealed this to him in such a short amount of ti. Suddenly, Hua Tiantian felt deeply embarrassed, wanting to maintain her composure.

"It’s really not a big deal. The slaps were necessary for the plot. After all, the character I’m playing really isn’t very likable."

Hua Tiantian crafted an explanation to defend herself, determined not to let ng Yan look down on her.

ng Yan found Hua Tiantian’s clever maneuvering unconvincing and was, instead, sowhat irritated by her current predicant. He glanced around the chilly lounge and said, "You aren’t exactly a newcor anymore. It looks like this crew is tight on budget — this lounge is so basic it feels uninhabitable. Hua Tiantian, you sohow manage to find contentnt in this."

"President ng, what are you saying? I live by the motto: ’Endure hardships to achieve success.’ How could soone like you, a big-shot leader, understand the sweet and bitter struggles of a small-ti actor like ? On the surface, actors may seem glamorous, but behind the scenes, we live worse lives than ordinary people."
