With that, he deliberately walked outside to answer it. She got out of bed, pressing herself against the door, straining to overhear his conversation. On the phone, he said:
"Baby, don’t worry. I’m handling her, aren’t I? Yes, everything’s already arranged. Just wait patiently. Don’t say anything for now—I’m afraid she’ll overhear."
When he finished, he hung up quickly. He even turned to glance back toward the room before leaving. Qin Miaomiao hid behind the door, watching him go.
She clutched at her chest. Her head throbbed unbearably. What had she forgotten?

Lu Qing, who had been imrsed in his work, finally raised his head. The car window rolled down slowly. His face was expressionless, showing no trace of emotion as he looked at her.
"Tell her to leave."
"Understood."
Han Shu got out of the car and politely asked her to step aside. Qin Miaomiao looked at Lu Qing inside the car. He didn’t spare her even the slightest glance, as if she were a complete stranger.
She opened her mouth to speak but found she had no words. She stepped aside wordlessly, watching as he remained seated in the car, brushing past her as if she didn’t exist.
A dull ache rose in her chest, as though sothing had been ripped away. It wasn’t supposed to be like this!
She watched as the gates of the villa opened. A woman erged, her face strikingly familiar to Qin Miaomiao, bubbling with excitent.
Especially when Lu Qing stepped out of the car. She imdiately ran up to greet him. Lu Qing walked straight ahead, and a flicker of hurt crossed her face, but she still trailed closely behind him.
That face... that face!
Qin Miaomiao seed to realize sothing, letting out a piercing scream!!

In the hospital, Qin Miaomiao’s body convulsed violently. Lu Qing’s face turned pale with alarm as he hurriedly called for a doctor. The doctor examined her thoroughly, then spoke with a puzzled expression:
