The ntor placed a tablet on the table, with the screen showing a video ready to be played.

The interface was all black, with a play button outlined in white lines hovering in the center.

"You actually sent Zeus out? If I rember correctly, this should be the first ti you’ve dispatched him, right?" Ji Minghuan raised an eyebrow, glancing at the tablet.

He knew that pressing the play button would reveal a massive shadow covering the sky, the figure of "Zeus," the chief of the gods in ancient Greek mythology, whose first mission was evidently recorded by Salvation Society.

"Yes, this is our first ti deploying Zeus because the situation ca too suddenly. Zeus is the strongest existence among the three children in our base who possess mythical level powers, but his ntal state is also the most unstable. We debated for a long ti before deciding whether to send him out."

The ntor spoke softly, pulled out a cigarette from his coat pocket, then took a lighter out of his cuff, placed the cigarette in his mouth, and leaned closer to the lighter to ignite it.

With a click, the fla rose, followed by smoke gently rising from his fingertips, as suddenly a cloud calmly floated in from outside the confinent room, stopping underneath the silver-white ceiling, with a red-haired little girl sitting on it.

"Ji Minghuan, ntor, what are you two talking about? Why do you look so serious?" Sun Changkong asked, tilting her head.

The ntor remained silent.

He adjusted the glasses on his nose, then unscrewed the lid of the thermos and sipped so warm tea.

"Big sis, the ntor said he sent Zeus out, but they didn’t call us out. Do you think he’s biased?" Ji Minghuan looked up at the red-haired girl on the Sorsault Cloud, stirring the pot, "I’ve been cooped up here every day, it’s driving insane, yet he still won’t let us out to play."

"What can be done? The ntor must have his own thoughts," Sun Changkong paused, muttered softly, "Though I also want to go out and play."

"Rest assured... in a few days, I’ll apply to the higher-ups to try to let you go out," the ntor said softly, "Especially you, Ji Minghuan, you look increasingly worn out lately, which isn’t how a twelve-year-old should be."

After speaking, he raised his head to glance at Ji Minghuan’s pale, thin face, his cheeks faintly sunken inward, though those black eyes remained bright and spirited, like a torch in the wilderness.

No one would believe this is what a twelve-year-old should look like. Yet, Ji Minghuan has been eating normally these days; the only explanation is severe psychological issues. At this thought, the ntor took a deep breath.

"Nonsense... controlling five bodies simultaneously with one mind every day, I would like to see you not looking worn out." At this thought, Ji Minghuan also sighed inwardly.

"Applying to the higher-ups? Who exactly are the higher-ups?" he pondered for a mont before asking.

"The top brass of Salvation Society, do you have any questions?" The ntor looked up, eting his gaze.

"Co to think of it, other than you, I don’t think I’ve t any others from Salvation Society’s high-level ranks, which is really odd," Ji Minghuan said, "Could it be..." He hesitated.

"What do you want to say?" the ntor asked indifferently, smoking.

"Could it be they’re afraid of ?" Ji Minghuan pondered, "Don’t want to rember what they look like, so they don’t appear in front of , making it easier to escape if the base explodes, right?"

After saying this, he paused for a mont, then looked up at the ntor, "Actually, I thought of another possibility... maybe Salvation Society people have been brainwashed by you. You seem like a minor henchman, but actually accomplished a coup."

The ntor was slightly stunned.

Sun Changkong was equally taken aback; she just sat on the Sorsault Cloud clapping her hands, tilted her head saying, "Oh—! ntor, amazing. Once you control Salvation Society and take out those old geezers, will we be free?"

The ntor chuckled, "If given the chance, I may actually give you freedom."

"You said it. Liars swallow a thousand needles," Sun Changkong stated.

"Of course, I never go back on my word," the ntor said, "Xiao Kong, you’ve beco cheerful. You used to say you wanted to stay here forever, but since eting Ji Minghuan, you’ve changed."

"I only want to go to many places with him and have fun," Sun Changkong said, smiling, revealing her little canine teeth, "Celebrate birthdays at many places: the North Pole, Antarctica, Australia, the Pacific Ocean. I want to sit on polar bears and whales to celebrate birthdays. Then write ’Ji Minghuan and Sun Changkong were here’ on their backs!"

"Big sis, I don’t want to celebrate my birthday on a whale’s back, and a birthday is only one day. How can we go to so many places?" Ji Minghuan retorted unamused.

"What do you think I’m sitting on now?" Sun Changkong said, patting the Sorsault Cloud.

"Oh, right," Ji Minghuan said, "Won’t you take anyone else?"

Sun Changkong shook her head, "You’re my first friend. The first ti I’m celebrating a birthday with soone, and I only want to be with you. Isn’t it fine?"

"That’s so cheesy."

"The cheesy part is saying it out loud. You, the listener, aren’t allowed to object," Sun Changkong pouted, her ears and face slightly flushed, her little canine teeth trembling with irritation.

The ntor smiled warmly and accommodatingly, resting his cheek in his hand, smoking while watching the two.
