"Bro... Do you actually need to pull you off the pigeon’s back?"
"Do you think you’re talking to yourself? Always mocking , looking down on soone?"
Ji Minghuan mumbled and slowly, carefully stood up from the back of the pigeon, then deliberately slipped and cried out as he fell, sliding right off the pigeon’s back.
Su Zimai froze for a mont.
Ji Minghuan’s figure plumted straight down from a hundred ters high, his rapidly twisting form reflected in the glass skyscraper. His lips curled slightly as he thought: Seems you enjoy annoying ; watch perform a high-altitude building fall.
"...Seriously?"
Su Zimai’s pupils suddenly contracted, her expression anxious as she stepped onto the railing and leaped, plunging down from mid-air. The magic gloves controlled the giant pigeon, which folded its wings and dove beneath her.
She landed on the pigeon’s back, flipping like a white teor, extending her hand, yet couldn’t touch Ji Minghuan’s body. So she swiftly raised the magic gloves, pointing the palm at Ji Minghuan’s falling shadow.
Every line on the gloves shone with intense white light, and Su Zimai summoned a wardrobe mid-air. The magic wardrobe appeared behind Ji Minghuan, following him in his fall.
At this mont, Ji Minghuan’s body was about to hit the road, a high-speed truck approached head-on, its headlights tearing through the night illuminating his form.
But just then, the wardrobe doors suddenly opened and swallowed him whole.
A mont later, Ji Minghuan reopened his eyes in the darkness, pushed open the wardrobe doors, and curiously looked around, finding himself back on the rooftop, as if he’d opened a window nad "Sky", with the evening breeze blowing against him.
anwhile, Su Zimai rode the giant pigeon rising from the road, darting through the night sky at incredible speed, the white pigeon’s shadow blurred in the glass curtain wall. Upon reaching the rooftop, she landed swiftly, rushing towards Ji Minghuan carried by the evening wind.
"Are you okay, bro?" Her face was pale, on the brink of tears, her lips trembling with every word: "It’s all my fault... all my fault... it’s all my fault... I shouldn’t have joked... I should have helped you... it’s all my fault..."
Su Zimai’s voice quivered as she grabbed his arm, her eyes darting around inspecting his body.
Ji Minghuan paused, thinking why’s my sister reacting so strongly; falling is nothing compared to swinging with a restraint belt.
He shook his head, "I’m fine, just my hair got a bit wind-blown."
"You’re... really okay?" Su Zimai looked up at his face, asking blankly.
"I’m fine, see, standing here perfectly?" Ji Minghuan shrugged.
After a while, confirming he wasn’t injured, Su Zimai lowered her head, exhaling deeply.
Her eyes were shielded by her bangs as she breathed like a goldfish surfacing, almost gasping for air.
Su Zimai was silent for quite so ti, then slowly lifted her head, her face still pale, eyes red.
"If you needed help, just say so! I’d definitely pull you up, why act tough?" She said, still rushing.
"Aren’t you the one looking down on ?!" Ji Minghuan retorted angrily, eting Su Zimai’s gaze.
Her eyes were filled with indignation, tears glistening, twinkling in her eyes, her nose wrinkling, like a suddenly enraged little creature.
"I... I was scared to death." Su Zimai whispered softly, finally loosening her grip on his arm, her voice still trembling.
"Shouldn’t I be the one scared to death, it’s not like you fell?" Ji Minghuan muttered.
"Do you want to drive insane?! Tell , do you want to drive insane?"
"Alright, alright, I said I’m fine." Ji Minghuan raised his hand, patting her head, thinking that his sister, a magical creature who usually mocks you, really reverts back when teased.
Actually, even if Su Zimai hadn’t co to his rescue, he still would have released the restraint incarnation in mid-air and let "Black Cocoon" save him, that way, he could let Black Cocoon owe Su Zimai a favor.
Su Zimai glared at him silently for a mont, then suddenly wiped her tears with her hand, turned, and walked angrily toward the railing and sat on it.
She took off the magic hat from her head and lowered her head to control the giant pigeon, which quickly returned to its original size, fluttering its wings and diving back into the black hat.
Monts later, she slowly retracted the Celestial Driver within her, the magic hat and gloves on her right hand disappeared together.
She lowered her gaze, quietly looking at the nightti city.
Ji Minghuan walked over, silently sitting beside her, the two of them gazing from a hundred ters high at the illuminated road, vehicles rging like fireflies into a stream of light, the evening wind brushing against their silhouettes.
"Still angry?" After a mont of silence, he asked.
"No."
"Obviously, you are."
"I’m just mad at myself, if you really fell... I wouldn’t keep living."
"Are you an elentary school student?"
"High schooler..." Su Zimai protested, her voice still carrying a hint of sobbing.
"Oh, then I’m an elentary school student."
"Elentary students aren’t allowed to talk."
"Sorry, sis." Ji Minghuan pressed his palms together, "Elentary student was wrong, elentary student shouldn’t have made you angry."
Su Zimai’s eyes twitched slightly, she tried holding back, her cheeks puffed up a bit, but she couldn’t help but laugh. Last ti in the park, Ji Minghuan made her laugh like this too.
Monts later, she mumbled: "Bro, how can you be so shaless, just like a real elentary school kid; where’s the high school boy’s deanor?"
Ji Minghuan rolled his eyes at her, thinking I actually am an elentary school kid, wait until you see my true form, realizing your ’brother’ is only 12; how surprised will you be?
Hold on... won’t she take as a younger brother because I’m a restricted superpower user?
Then wouldn’t my restricted superpower seem pretty la?
Given Su Zimai’s character, she’d definitely take Kong Youling as her sister too, wouldn’t we beco a family of five again? Alright, mom, your spirit in heaven can rest easy, the family has five people again.
Of course... provided Gu Zhuo Case and Gu Qiye live till then.
"Let’s... head ho." Su Zimai was silent for a long ti and suddenly said, "Sneaking out from the window like this, it wouldn’t be good if dad and brother found out."
"Then call out your pigeon."
"Sure."
Su Zimai suddenly paused, seemingly recalling sothing, hurriedly pulling out her phone from her hoodie pocket, muttering: "Oh no... I forgot I have sothing tonight!"
"What thing?"
"My leader said she’s taking and so very remarkable people out for dinner, I’m ten minutes late already."
"Very remarkable people?" Ji Minghuan asked with interest, thinking those people Ke Qirui ntioned wouldn’t be Lake Hunting, would they?
After all, from this auction event, it’s known that Ke Qirui knows Zhou Jiuya.
"Never mind, you head ho first!"
"You’re not going to leave on the rooftop, are you? This is a hundred-ter building, I might get caught by security as a suspicious character if I go down."
"Then, then, then... you can co with first." Su Zimai frowned, urgently releasing the pigeon from the magic hat, enlarging it.
Ji Minghuan raised an eyebrow: "Alright, but wouldn’t hanging out with you exorcists be a bit awkward as a non-magical person."
"Who said you’d go inside, you wait outside the restaurant, find sowhere to hang out, or just grab a cab back!"
"Alright."
Ji Minghuan nodded expressionlessly, thinking it’s fine, if I’m not dining with you, Black Cocoon will soon be eating with you, he’s eager to et the Lake Hunting folks.
