Southern end of the Seven Lustrous Federation, Red Candle City.
From the na, you know it’s a city belonging to the Red Lustrous Clan.
This city is a border city, further south, after a few mountain peaks, belongs to another nation.
A moderate-sized nation, originally one of the subordinate forces of the Seven Lustrous Federation.
Red Candle City naturally isn’t a major city.
However, the Seven Lustrous Federation is essentially a confederation of the Seven Lustrous Clans, and among these clans, there are divisions into different families and branch forces.
Each city has its affiliated family force, and also has the regular army belonging to that family.
The city walls of Red Candle City are twenty ters high, with sporadic patrol soldiers visible on them, wearing shabby armor, with only their weapons as rune weapons. They are mostly mixed-blood beastn, subhumans, goblins, stone n, and other common races. A few months ago, there were so humans seen.
mbers of the Red Lustrous Clan are not visible.
Among the Federation’s Seven Lustrous Clans, all are nobility, even within the City Defense Army, they are at least commanding officers.
The patrol soldiers were not guarding against enemy attacks, but against the occasional mutant beasts that road near Red Candle City, which did not warrant much attention.
Red Carlo was leisurely in his office, with indescribable sounds coming from the crystal brain in front of him.
Suddenly,
A series of urgent sounds ca from outside, Red Carlo was displeased, sothing disrupted the critical mont...
"Commander, sothing’s happened, humans are attacking, attacking... uh..."
A huge roar sounded in his ears, a giant stone blown up like a cannonball slamd into the reporting ram-tribe mber, caving in his chest, crashing into a side of the wall, breaking it open, his eyes bulging round, blood seeping from his mouth, limbs twitching, it’s certain he’s not alive.
Red Carlo suddenly woke up.
As a Commander, his cultivation is not low, already at Awakening Tier Perfection.
He swiftly brushed away the flying stones, his gaze sharply scanning around.
Outside the city,
Thousands of humans surged like a tide, among them high-tier awakeners using dents made by mutant beasts on the city walls to leap onto the walls in one swift move.
The city defense patrol army had many Body-shaping Realm captains and a few Source Condensation Realm ones, but against the well-equipped humans, they were not a match.
Red Carlo quickly donned his equipnt.
Looking like a headless and tailless iron barrel on his body, a few tentacles extended from holes, gripping rune weapons shimring with light.
"It’s Red Lustrous Clan people! Elite monsters!"
"Mine, mine, don’t grab! "
"Kill monsters, earn combat achievents, exchange for equipnt, ooooh!"
Red Carlo saw a dozen red-eyed humans rushing, shouting words he didn’t quite understand. Angrily, he attacked, gathering scorching fireballs around him.
Boom!
Before the fireballs flew out, before Red Carlo, a series of sword and saber flashes expanded, and in the next mont, his consciousness quickly dissipated.
In his last monts, he only heard them shouting:
"Who’s credited, who’s credited? Eh, it wasn’t who landed the final blow!"
...
Tao Sect disciples all wear the latest generation of tactical wristbands, developed by the research departnt.
They can record combat achievents in real-ti and be used for short-distance communication in the battlefield.
Of course,
The wristband’s appearance has a fairy-tale style, looking like a hand-ring treasure — and, in fact, it is similar, storing 3-5 spells and capable of changing the situation at critical monts.
This ti-limited large-scale task stipulates that, in team situations, battle achievents are evenly split, or the team itself discusses allocation. And when multiple teams target the sa objective, the tactical wristband’s system has a mature and complex evaluation rules set.
Most sect disciples don’t understand, they only know one thing, the one to land the final blow can earn more achievents.
For them, most miscellaneous soldier enemies do not count achievents, only enemies of Awakening High Tier and above barely count.
Roughly each enemy counts as "1 point".
Pitifully little.
Awakening Tier Perfection barely counts as "normal monster", and with Red Lustrous Clan identity, there’s an achievent bonus, but with many monks and few at, participating disciples feel it’s hard, the task is so hard.
...
"What’s going on with those Tao Sect disciples?"
Outside Red Candle City, Lin Chu, commanding the army, massaged his temples.
Lin’s Tribe is a human tribe located in the northern Celestine Mountain Range.
Constantly battling mutant beasts within the mountains, and aliens from the northern plains gathering dicinal herbs, Lin’s Tribe has a fierce folk and a significant population, nearly a million people. If not for being inside Celestine Mountain Range, lacking a stable environnt and resources for developnt, Lin’s Tribe’s strength could easily develop into a moderate-sized nation.
Lin Chu is a direct lineage offspring of Lin’s Tribe, with an esteed position, but facing Tao Sect disciples, even outer sect ones, he dared not show pride — it’s precisely why he worried more about those sect disciples getting into trouble — even though death is quite a common occurrence in large-scale warfare.
"They’ve already entered the city, advancing several kiloters further than our frontline, Commander, should we..."
Lin Chu didn’t speak.
A rough big man behind him couldn’t hold back, "I think those Tao Sect disciples just ca to snatch achievents, huh? I really don’t know why they were arranged into our army, isn’t it for monitoring us!"
"Shut up!"
Lin Chu spoke, "With Tao Sect’s stature, they wouldn’t do such things as snatching achievents or monitoring. Bestowing territories is the Tao Sect’s favor to us human tribes, including those sect disciples, most of them are from Human Race. Don’t forget, we Li’s Tribe have three Heavenly Prides as Tao Sect’s inner and outer sect disciples."
