Mu Lezhu watched his tall and majestic figure finally disappear from view, then slowly withdrew her gaze, looking down at the black coat in her arms. From such a distance, she could still sll the sa cologne scent as when she had fallen into his embrace yesterday. Her lips involuntarily curved into a smile, an inexplicable current flowed through her heart, tingling, as if feeling sothing she had never experienced before.
After a while, Mu Lezhu suddenly shook her head, as if realizing sothing, quickly raised her hand to tap her face, repeatedly denying that thought in her heart, coming up with many excuses for herself.
Lu Jingang went inside for about twenty minutes before coming out. After greeting the traffic officer on duty at the office door, he turned around and found Mu Lezhu still hadn’t changed out of the clothes while sitting on the bench. The coat he had thrown over was still in her arms, and his brows instantly furrowed unhappily.
"Why haven’t you changed clothes?" Lu Jingang walked over and asked in a very displeased tone.
"Uh..." Mu Lezhu looked a bit embarrassed, she really couldn’t tell the truth, saying she was lost in thought and was too embarrassed to wear it!
So, her brain quickly spun around, and she randomly found an excuse with a smile, handing the coat back to him: "Uh, it’s getting colder today, and raining too, pretty chilly. You should wear it! Although there’s heating inside, once you go out, it’ll still be very cold. If you catch a cold, I... will feel really guilty."
"Troubleso." Lu Jingang impatiently pushed away her hand holding the clothes: "Just wear it if I say so, don’t talk nonsense, hurry up."
Mu Lezhu was speechless and had no choice but to take off her sowhat damp jacket and put on Lu Jingang’s coat. Yet, the coat was too large. On her, it was very ill-fitting, like a child secretly wearing an adult’s clothes, with sleeves considerably long.
Mu Lezhu even flapped the sleeves, adjusted the coat, and pouted a little, looking rather adorable.
"We can leave now." Lu Jingang placed his hands into his pant pockets, speaking with an indifferent expression.
"Uh... okay..." Mu Lezhu hesitantly glanced at her feet but felt she already troubled him quite a bit with the heavy rain coming to the traffic office. Now, if she said her leg hurt and couldn’t walk, would that be too pretentious?
At monts like this, Mu Lezhu feared causing him trouble, so she tended to overthink.
Lu Jingang seed to perceive her hesitation too, not hurriedly turning to leave, but continued standing there, narrowing his eyes to observe her legs.
Mu Lezhu took a deep breath, tentatively trying to stand up. The pain from the bruised leg she could barely endure, but whenever she exerted force on the injured leg, it was exceedingly painful, far beyond what she could bear, and the grimace on her face instantly exposed her feelings completely.
Lu Jingang pursed his lips, slightly furrowing his brows, recalling their previous intimate encounters, he didn’t actually reject it too much, just always felt strange inside.
"Uh... well... I..." Mu Lezhu attempted to stand but didn’t manage, feeling awkward and embarrassed. She glanced sideways at Lu Jingang, about to speak when she saw Lu Jingang directly walk over, bend down, and lift her horizontally. She was suddenly airborne, her bags and jacket in her hands swinging in the air.
