"Where... did you go? And how did you get so many plush toys?" Yun Xi accepted the plush toys he handed over, holding them in her arms. There were pandas, rabbits, Pikachu, Snoopy, and alpacas, about eight or nine in total. They were all of similar size, very cute, fluffy, and felt particularly comforting.
"There are quite a few claw machines over there, so I gave them a try."
"So you were playing claw machines just now?"
"Yes."
"Did you catch all of these?"
"What else? Do you think the owner would give them to for free?"
"Why did you suddenly think of playing claw machines?"
"Just had the idea all of a sudden."
"Are they easy to catch?"
"Not really. It took over forty ga tokens to finally get these. I put in quite an effort to catch each one." Lu Xize glanced at her ga ball and the state of the ga, frowned, "Did you ever win?"
When it ca to this topic, Yun Xi pouted and glared at him, "You’re really pressing where it hurts, annoying! I don’t want to play anymore, let’s go! Wasting my ti. I’d rather buy more clothes and bags!"
"Never won a ga?"
Yun Xi drooped her face, looking at him resentfully, "Are you done?"
"We still have more than twenty tokens, let’s not waste them! I’ll help you get revenge, take your stuff and watch from the side." As he spoke, he took the costic bags she bought earlier, placed them and her phone on the side, and pulled her aside since there was no hope for this round. Lu Xize casually played with it again, inserted another token, and started the next round.
Yun Xi watched intently from the side, realizing Lu Xize was quite skilled, playing with a lot of technique, making her view him in a new light. Finally, when he effortlessly won the round, the frustration inside her suddenly dissipated.
"How was it? Do you admire now?" Lu Xize snapped his fingers, fully prepared to receive whatever complints she might offer.
Yun Xi rolled her eyes at him, shoved the two bags in his hands, "Stop being so smug, help carry these, I can’t hold them anymore. I’m hungry, let’s grab a bite!"
"Hey, I just want to hear one complint from you, why is it so difficult?"
"You’re amazing, the best, the greatest person in the whole world, satisfied?"
Lu Xize shalessly accepted her half-hearted complint as he watched her walk towards the ga arcade entrance with an armful of plush toys. He quickly followed her.
The two of them stayed in the arcade for over two hours, where Yun Xi tried her hand at most of the gas. Once the novelty wore off, she lost interest.
"What ti is it? Can you check? My hands are full."
"It’s twelve minutes past seven."
"It’s already seven?"
"When we finished eating, it was already three, then I accompanied you across two streets, and you played in the arcade for so long. Seven o’clock is actually quite normal."
"Let’s go have dinner! I’m hungry." Yun Xi pouted, walking out of the arcade, where the outside was already dazzling with lights and the sky had darkened completely.
"Have you decided where to eat?"
"Yes, I decided while eating barbecue this afternoon."
"Then let’s drive straight to the place you picked!"
"Sure." Yun Xi nodded with a smile, as the two walked down a few steps side by side, she unwittingly glanced sideways and noticed a familiar young figure in a black hoodie. Her brows furrowed slightly as she directly shouted, "Yun Yisheng?"
Suddenly being called by a familiar voice, Yun Yisheng stiffened, his smile froze, and he instinctively looked up towards the source of the voice. Upon seeing Yun Xi’s familiar baby face, his pupils shrank, and he awkwardly waved, "Uh... Sis, what are you doing here, what a coincidence!"
"Oh, quite the coincidence. Shouldn’t you be attending extra classes at school right now?" Yun Xi walked over to him with a pile of plush toys, sporting a fake smile.
"Uh... School’s out!" Yun Yisheng smiled awkwardly, thinking he definitely can’t admit he skipped class, or he’d surely be dood.
